First Impressions
Nothing scheduled but sunshine. - Vellabox
June is here, and I have to admit that while this quote sounds lovely, it just doesn't reflect our life right now. Baseball season is in full swing, and it seems like we have games or practices almost every night. Our days are relatively open, but since we live 30 miles from town, our afternoons and evenings fill up quickly.
That said, I'm hoping to embrace the spirit of this quote once things slow down a bit—because I could definitely use a little more rest and relaxation!
This month's Vellabox arrived at the perfect time to bring a sense of calm to my morning coffee routine. Lighting the candle helped me reset, gather my thoughts, and map out my day without feeling overwhelmed. Somehow, it made tackling my to-do list feel a little more manageable while still leaving me with the satisfaction of getting things accomplished.

We've been sleeping with the windows cracked open, and my goodness, do those birds wake up early! I was up at 5:00 this morning to the chaos of my husband realizing he had forgotten to set his alarm, a very loud bird chirping outside my window, and the dogs whining for breakfast. I'll admit, it was not the most relaxing start to the day.
That being said, once I got my husband out the door, fed the dogs, and closed the window, I was finally able to take a breath and light my new "Poolside" candle from Vellabox. This month's candle features notes of gardenia, beach towel, apple, aloe blossom, and spring water.
I'll be honest—I was worried the gardenia might be overpowering, but when blended with the other scents, it creates one of the warmest, most summery fragrances I've ever experienced. Light, fresh, and clean, this candle instantly sets a relaxing mood and helped bring a sense of calm back to my morning after all the chaos.
Made with soy wax and free of phthalates, it's a candle I feel good about burning in my home. Plus, the design fits beautifully with my decor. I am absolutely in love with this one!
This month's candle was created by Genre Olfattivo, a company based in Miami, Florida. They specialize in phthalate- and paraben-free home fragrances designed to evoke memories, capture special places, and inspire daydreams.

Poolside Air Fresheners - Retail Value $10
Pairing perfectly with the candle, we also received a set of two air fresheners in the "Poolside" scent. Since I absolutely love this fragrance, I was thrilled to receive these, especially because my car is where I typically use air fresheners.
Even the kids enjoy the scent, which is a huge win! The fragrance is fresh, clean, and not overpowering, making it perfect for everyday use. I also love the subtle blue-striped design, as it's exactly the kind of style I would have chosen for myself. Overall, this was a fantastic addition to this month's box.

Vellabox is a fabulous subscription and one I look forward to receiving each and every month. Since I burn candles almost every day, it’s important to me that they’re free of toxins and harmful ingredients. Vellabox does an excellent job of curating small brands that are not only safe to use but smell incredible too! This month’s "Poolside" scent was perfect for me, and brought a little coziness to my home. With the addition of the Spotify playlist and the matching scented air fresheners, my month felt complete. I already can’t wait to see what’s in store for July!
