Opening The Box
Margot Elena is responsible for some of my very favorite body products. While I am no stranger to the brand and its aesthetic, I am never prepared for how devastatingly beautiful its contents are. I've been so frustrated with last week's rainy days, but it seems like as soon as I received this box, it has been nothing but sunshine. Coincidence?
Margot Elena's summer collection is bursting with warm summer scents and body care that will perk up your senses and keep your skin happy all season long.
Here's What's Inside
TokyoMilk Sonoran Bloom Eau de Parfum — Retail Value $50
Sonoran Bloom is a crisp floral that immediately caught my attention. I usually reach for musky and sweet scents, but since summer is upon us, my arms are wide open to unique florals, and the Saguaro flower note will definitely be turning heads this summer. My husband and I went to see Obsession this weekend, and after the movie, he told me that my hair smelled so good, he got distracted from the movie. It also seems like this fragrance has an identity crisis every hour: after I left the house, it smelled powdery, and a few hours later, I could only smell hints of earthy greens. I love the range I've experienced with this scent, and I look forward to hearing everyone else's thoughts.
Library of Flowers Honeycomb Shower Gel - Exclusive! — Retail Value $23
I am basically fueled by honey, thanks to my beauty goods and tea consumption, and I've never met a honey product that I don't like. The fragrance in this small-batch shower gel is delicious, and thanks to shea butter and jojoba oil, it truly feels like a million bucks on the skin. I was really surprised with how moisturized and nourished my skin felt; I almost skipped my body serum/moisturizer (almost). The texture is medium-thick and lathers up like a dream.
The Cottage Greenhouse Lemon Blooms & Honey Dry Body Oil — Retail Value $34
Since I am a moisture-seeking queen, I was immediately attracted to this dry oil; if I could feasibly take a bath in oils, I would not hesitate. I love an indulgent body oil that promises to soak into dry skin, and this does just that. Grape seed oil is a lighter oil that helps with skin elasticity and hydration, and coconut oil nourishes and soothes dry skin. The floral-lemon fragrance is potent at first, and I really love how it lingers on my skin throughout the day.
Pardon My French X TokyoMilk Sealing Wax & Stamp — Listed Value $20
I will do anything to avoid licking an envelope! Haha, kidding — I am actually enthralled with this process, and considering that I am old-school and love everything snail mail, I am stoked to have an excuse to partake in this ritual. The kit came with one golden candlestick and a gold metal crown stamp attached to a wooden handle.

I am out of practice, but I think this turned out nicely! I lit the candle and held it at an angle so the wax dripped over my envelope, and then after a few seconds, I firmly pressed the stamp on the warm wax. I love this process, and I think this would make such a cool gift for anyone who also romanticizes sending letters in the mail.
The Cottage Greenhouse Carrot and Neroli Handcreme — Retail Value $28
I have read so many rave reviews on this particular scent, and it did not disappoint. It reminds me of a sunny day in the garden. Neroli takes the wheel with underlying notes of earthy greens, which might include a hint of carrot? I'd like to think so! Shea butter paired with avocado and jojoba oils makes this ideal for even the dryest hands, but since I love this fragrance so much, I am tempted to wear it all over.
Pardon My French X TokyoMilk Fine Notecard Set — Listed Value $28
I can never have enough stationery, especially notecards signed "From the desk of the Queen" - my kids loved that little detail. This beautiful set includes twelve cards in six designs trimmed in gold with twelve matching envelopes. Tokyomilk's branding is quite whimsical, yet moody, and I can't get enough of it.
TokyoMilk Perfumed Luminary in Let Them Eat Cake — Listed Value $20
Do not let the packaging fool you, this does not smell like cake! I was a little taken aback staring at the lid and sniffing a completely different set of notes than I expected, but I wasn't disappointed. Notes of citrus zest, mimosa, rosewood, and mandarin blend perfectly to create a distinctive, completely addictive fragrance that I'd like in my bedroom, bathroom, car, etc. I don't know if there is anything more pleasing than opening your windows, burning a relaxing candle, and catching up on your favorite show.
