April is here, and honestly, I thought spring had finally arrived—but April Fools’ is on me… we’re expecting about eight inches of snow tonight! Eeek! Kicking off spring break with a snowstorm isn’t exactly what I had in mind, but it does give me the perfect excuse to cozy up at home and relax.
This month’s Vellabox arrived just in time to add a calming touch to my evening and create a sense of calm. If the soft flicker of candlelight and soothing scents help you unwind the way they do for me, I can’t recommend this subscription enough. “April showers bring May flowers,” right? Not quite—because we’re getting snow instead. Blah! It looks like movie nights and snuggle time are on the agenda this week, and honestly, I’m okay with that.
To help create a relaxing atmosphere, I was thrilled to receive this beautiful 16-ounce “Cashmere” scented candle. Poured into a dark brown glass jar, its simple design and incredible fragrance instantly warmed up my kitchen and set the tone for a cozy evening of family time.
This month’s scent features notes of white freesia, pomegranate, lily, violet, cashmere, and soft woods. It has a fresh, woodsy aroma with an excellent scent throw that gently fills the downstairs of our home without ever feeling overpowering.
Made from soy wax with a cotton wick, I also appreciate that this company focuses on clean ingredients. The burn time is impressive—I light candles daily, and these easily last longer than a month, which really stands out compared to typical big-box brands.
This month’s candle was created by Meadow Candle Studio, a company based in Union, Missouri. They specialize in crafting home fragrance products made with clean ingredients that are safe for sensitive pets while still being beautifully scented.

Cashmere Hand Cream - Retail Value $10
Even though it’s officially spring, I’m still battling the dry winter air, so this hand cream was a perfect addition to the box. Scented to match this month’s candle, it melts into my skin without leaving a greasy residue. It absorbs beautifully and leaves behind a warm, musky floral scent in the best possible way.
Luxurious in both scent and feel, it’s a bit strong at first but softens nicely over time, and it’s been a fantastic moisturizer. I love it!

Vellabox is a fabulous subscription and one I look forward to receiving each and every month. Since I burn candles almost every day, it’s important to me that they’re free of toxins and harmful ingredients. Vellabox does an excellent job of curating small brands that are not only safe to use but smell incredible too! This month’s "Cashmere" scent was a delight to me, and brought a little coziness to my home. With the addition of the Spotify playlist and the matching scented hand cream, my month felt complete. I already can’t wait to see what’s in store for May!
