Medusa's Make-Up Beauty Box is a vegan and cruelty-free makeup subscription box from the popular indie brand of the same name. Each month you'll receive a box of 3-5 vegan beauty products for just $25.95 with free shipping, with a total value of around $40. The shades and colors are always unique and the packaging is super fun!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The May 2026 Box

As a long-time beauty enthusiast and subscription box reviewer, I've tried just about every make-up box out there. Medusa’s Make-Up, though, has steadily carved out a special spot in my rotation. When I first got the chance to review one of their boxes, I was curious, and now, several months (and many fun looks) later, I’m fully hooked. Each delivery brings something bold, cruelty-free, and totally unique. So, what’s inside May's box? Let’s dive in and see what this month has to offer!

Wrapped in a beautiful pink foil mailer, it was love at first sight! I was so excited to find it in my mailbox—I actually jumped for joy. This month, my products arrived safely, all tucked inside a plastic, heart-shaped bubble wrap makeup bag. Everything was securely packaged and arrived in perfect condition.

Now, let’s dig in and see what I received!

Kicking things off, we have the info card, which lists everything included in the box along with the retail values. I’m really loving this month’s dino design! The front is absolutely adorable, featuring a sweet little flower-holding dinosaur, while the back provides a helpful breakdown of each item and its value.

Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

Baked Eyeshadow - Envy - Retail Value $14.00

This month, the first item I received was a large pan of baked eyeshadow in the shade “Envy.” In the pan, it appears grayish-green, but it applies as a subtle greenish silver. With its slightly metallic finish, it’s easy to wear and works well as a base for my usual eyeshadow.

I applied it without primer here, but found that the color payoff is stronger when used over a base. I also appreciated that it lasted all day without creasing. Overall, it’s a fun, unique addition to my makeup collection.

Tropical Eyeshadow - Jamaica - Listed Value $14.00

The next item I received was a pan of “Tropical” eyeshadow in the shade “Jamaica.” This shadow is a light beige with decent pigmentation, though it does require a few layers for full coverage. I used it as a base layer, and it worked well all the way up to my brows.

It created a neutral canvas for adding darker colors into my crease, and it has already replaced my go-to base shade. It blends easily, making it perfect for both smoky and natural looks, and it’s very versatile. I love it!

Satin Lipstick - Baroque – Listed Value $16.00

It’s spring, and I love adding pops of color to my everyday outfits. That being said, I also enjoy adding a pop of color to my lips! This beautiful shade pairs well with my skin tone and creates a lovely satin finish in a pretty burgundy-pink hue. The formula glides on easily, making it a color that’s effortless for me to wear.

Because it’s a satin lipstick, it does require reapplication throughout the day, but it’s worth it!

Blush - Beach Bum - Listed Value $14.00

The next item I received was this bright pink blush. I use blush every day, and while this shade is a bit brighter than what I usually wear, it will be perfect for summer! With a light hand, it creates a lovely pink flush on the apples of my cheeks and was easy to wear even with my winter skin tone.

The formula wears well throughout the day and doesn’t fade, especially when paired with a setting spray.

Disco Queen - Funky Town - Listed Value $14.00

The last item I received was my favorite. I love a good lip gloss, and this one definitely delivered. Packaged in a plastic tube with a wand applicator, it goes on smoothly and effortlessly. Pink in color, it has a subtle metallic tint with flecks of glitter.

It’s easy to wear and, like most glosses, does need to be reapplied throughout the day. Adding a touch of sparkle and fun to my daily routine, it has earned a permanent spot in my purse. Love!!

The Verdict

This month’s curation from Medusa’s Makeup was one of my favorites! I loved that all of the items were Medusa’s Makeup–branded, showcasing their colors and formulas. My favorite was the gloss, but I also really enjoyed the eyeshadows, blush, and lipstick. Overall, it was a great mix, and I had so much fun playing around with my new products!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the June box. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.

Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $70.00 worth of items this month with these five items. This is more than double the cost of the box! That's a good value for $25.95.
