First Impressions
One of my favorite things about the IPSY Original subscription is the excitement of discovering each month’s new bag design. I’ve been a subscriber for years, and the fun, creative styles—along with the amazing products—keep me coming back for more.
To celebrate the arrival of April, we received a beautiful pink marble silk bag featuring a pearl drop zipper pull and a white interior. Finished with a gold zipper, this bag feels both springy and elegant and holds my monthly goodies perfectly!
Also included is a product card featuring the “Day to Daydream” theme, along with a sneak peek at some of the IPSY Original products. It also includes a QR code for more details about this month’s bag contents and a preview of next month’s highlights!
Now, on to the items!
SOL DE JANEIRO Cheirosa 76 Perfume Mist - Deluxe Mini - Estimated Value $8.60
I’ve actually been looking for a new perfume to add to my rotation, but now I don’t need to, since I received a great one this month!
In a plastic spritz bottle, I received a 20 mL bottle of Sol de Janeiro Fragrance in Cheirosa 76. This mist leans more toward a perfume, with a richer scent that lasts a long time. Featuring notes of jasmine, black currant, and amber woods, it’s a sensual fragrance that works best for nights out, but I also enjoyed wearing it around the house.
One spritz lasted throughout the entire day, and I really enjoyed the musky scent—so it’s a win for me!
MO BEAUTY Mo-Covered Long-wear Concealer in Medium - Full Size - Estimated Value $8.00
The next item I received was a long-wear concealer. This creamy formula helps blur imperfections while keeping skin looking smooth and natural. It blends easily and layers well over or under foundation, or can be worn on its own. It also includes vitamin E to help prevent a dry or heavy finish.
I received the shade Medium, but it’s a bit too dark for me. While it may work well in the summer months, my winter skin tone is quite light.
Even though the shade wasn’t quite right, I really loved the formula and felt it covered my problem areas nicely. I’ll have to head to their website to find my winter color match!
REALHER Lipstick in Brave - Travel Size - Estimated Value $22
There were a number of great items to choose from this month as picks, but I decided on a travel-size tube of REALHER Lipstick in Brave. First of all, the tiny little tube is absolutely adorable. With rounded edges and a fun light blue color, it’s perfect for my purse and actually contains a decent amount of lipstick!
While I’m familiar with the REALHER brand, I hadn’t really tried their lipsticks before, and I enjoyed the formula. It glided on smoothly and felt comfortable to wear. I was honestly expecting this shade to be a bit more red, but it turned out to be more of a pink tone, which I was completely fine with.
The staying power was typical for a lipstick, but it was easy to touch up throughout the day. Overall, I was really impressed—and I’m still in awe of how cute the little tube is!
BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Purifying Milky Cleanser - Deluxe Sample - Estimated Value $17.37
The next item I received was probably the most interesting one. This Purifying Milky Cleanser by Bellapierre Cosmetics not only washes away daily grime but also includes ultra-fine 24k gold powder! It seems a little extravagant to wash your face with gold, but since it was included in this box, I was excited to try it.
This creamy formula is unscented, and includes jojoba and sunflower oils, vitamins A, B, C, and E, and botanical extracts. It felt good on my skin and left it extra soft, but I’m not sure I’d spend $86 on the full-size version.
DALLAS & JAMES SKINCARE CO. Watermelon Dream Overnight Glow Mask - Deluxe Sample - Estimated Value $12.60
The last item I received rounded out this month’s curation nicely—a glow mask. This mask works overnight while you catch your Zzz’s to gently resurface, hydrate, and repair tired skin. It includes watermelon, cloudberry, hyaluronic acid, and alpha hydroxy acid.
Light in texture, it rubs in like a gel and has the softest watermelon scent. Being free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, dyes, silicones, and mineral oil, I feel good about applying it before bed and sleeping in it.
It has already made a difference in my skin, and paired with the cleanser, I feel like a new woman!
Verdict
I love the IPSY Original and always look forward to trying new beauty products. While I have my go-to brands, I’m always excited for the chance to discover something new. This month, I received five fun items that truly elevated both my skincare routine, makeup game, and signature scent! I loved each and every product and was thoroughly impressed.
For just $15, I received five items that I used throughout the month and genuinely enjoyed—especially the 24k gold milky cleanser, mini lipstick, perfume, and glow mask! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the May curation. What do you think it will include?
