March has arrived! Last month I mentioned I was ready for winter to be over, but alas—we’re still getting buckets of snow. Of course, living in Minnesota, this is no surprise, but I am more than ready for some sunshine and warmer temperatures. Life has been a bit of a flurry lately, and this month’s Vellabox arrived just in time to help me unwind. If the soft flicker of candlelight and soothing scents help you relax the way they do for me, I can’t recommend this subscription enough. March is an interesting month for us. Even though my boys’ basketball seasons are over, our varsity team has made it to state. That pushes our baseball season back a bit, so our schedule is busy—but not as busy as it normally would be. Because of that, we’ve been able to enjoy a little more “cozy” family time than usual, which I love. We don’t typically go on vacations, so this little “staycation” vibe has been right up our alley.
This month’s candle was perfect for March. It’s scented with notes of oranges, lemons, lily of the valley, green grass, linen, and a touch of musk. There was also an interesting note that I couldn’t quite attribute to any of the listed aromas—it almost had a menthol-like scent. I enjoyed it, but my kids did not! To me, the fragrance felt clean, crisp, and fun, but I was definitely outnumbered. The clear jar featured a pretty light green label, and the pastel tones gave it a fresh, springlike vibe that I really needed this time of year.
As someone who has become more mindful of what I bring into my home, I’ve swapped out mass-produced, chemical-laden candles for high-quality, premium options. This month’s candle is made with sustainable soy wax, premium fragrance oils, and 100% cotton wicks—ingredients I feel really good about. It’s a small luxury I can enjoy every day and feel good about bringing into my home.

This subscription is so much fun! I really enjoy the surprise inclusions, and this month Vellabox sent a set of Swedish dishcloths—I was thrilled! I’ve received similar dishcloths in the past, but this month’s spring-themed designs were especially cute. They’re functional for everyday use, and I love using them around the house. I’d definitely be happy to receive more of these in the future.

Since I burn candles almost every day, it’s important to me that they’re free of toxins and harmful ingredients. Vellabox does an excellent job of curating small brands that are not only safe to use but smell incredible too! This month’s "Staycation" scent was a delight to me, and brought a little springtime fun to my home. With the addition of the Spotify playlist and the adorable Swedish dish cloths, my month felt complete. I already can’t wait to see what’s in store for April!
