IPSY Original is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. For $14 per month, you get five full-sized or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.

This is one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box — the value and sample sizes are amazing. Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month — so this review is for just one of the bag variations you might receive!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

First Impressions

One of my favorite things about the IPSY Original subscription is the excitement of discovering each month’s new bag design. I’ve been a subscriber for years, and the fun, creative styles—along with the amazing products—keep me coming back for more.

To celebrate the arrival of March, we received a beautiful faux suede bag featuring an embossed sunflower pattern in a neutral tan shade. With a lovely gold zipper pull and a silky cream interior, this pouch is both stylish and functional. It perfectly holds all of my treasures from the month while offering a subtle nod to the upcoming arrival of spring.

Also included is a product card featuring the “Do Less Glow More” theme, along with a helpful guide to cleansers. It also includes a QR code for more details about this month’s bag contents and a sneak peek at next month’s highlights!

Now, on to the items!

DIEUX SKIN Auracle Eye Serum - Deluxe Mini - Retail Value $6.60

I’m all about skincare at this point in my life, so I was excited to see this Auracle Eye Serum in my Ipsy subscription. This small vial contains a generous amount of cooling serum that helps hydrate the delicate under-eye area and soften the appearance of fine lines. I’ve noticed it’s also helped reduce puffiness and minimize dark circles, which is always a win.

Formulated with algae, peptides, and glycerin, it leaves my skin looking refreshed and well-rested. A little goes a long way, and the lightweight consistency absorbs nicely without feeling heavy or greasy. It’s virtually scent-free and gentle on my skin, which I really appreciate.

Even though this is a deluxe mini sample, I was able to pop the top off and reinsert the stopper to help preserve the product, allowing me to use it for more than a week. Overall, it’s a great product—and this box is already off to a strong start!

LANEIGE Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Gel Moisturizer - Deluxe Mini - Estimated Value $7.60

The next item I received was another one I was thrilled about. This time, I got a nice-sized container of gel filled with tiny cream beads that help hydrate the skin. Formulated with blue hyaluronic acid fermented with deep-sea algae, it gives my skin a healthy glow—something I’ve definitely needed during this dry March weather.

It has a light minty scent that provides a subtle cooling sensation, making it feel especially refreshing to apply. Like the eye serum, it has a thinner consistency, so a little goes a long way. Overall, I’ve been really impressed and have been enjoying the results it’s delivered!

THE NUE CO. Skin Filter Serum - Deluxe Mini - Estimated Value $21.66

This month’s subscription is packed with goodness!! Next up, I received a NUE Skin filter serum that offers an irritation-free alternative to retinol, using plant-based extracts to help smooth fine lines and brighten skin tone.

Packaged in a small tube, it provides a decent amount of product to try. It applied nicely, felt great on my skin, and has a thin consistency that glides on easily—so a little goes a long way.

I’m excited to see the results after a few weeks of use, though I’m not sure this sample will last that long. Since it’s a bit on the pricey side, I’d love to try a larger size before committing. That said, after just a week of use, I’ve already noticed my skin tone looks a bit brighter, which is definitely promising!

MANNA KADAR COSMETICS Pink Mirage Eyeshadow Palette - FULL SIZE! - Estimated Value $18.00

The next item I received was my pick of the month. I love eyeshadow and wear it every day, so I was excited about this one. This pretty palette features a mix of natural and pink tones in a variety of finishes. The design is adorable, and one of the pans is even shaped like a heart!

The formula seems decent overall, though the color payoff is a bit on the lighter side. I had to apply it with a heavier hand to build up more intensity, but the shades themselves are easy to wear and very pretty.

PEAR NOVA Lid Sweep Brush - FULL SIZE! - Retail Value $18.50

The last item I received was a really nice eyeshadow brush. This tapered brush has a smooth, comfortable handle, and the synthetic bristles pick up just the right amount of shadow and place it exactly where I want it.

While I don’t typically reach for brushes—I usually prefer applying with my fingers—I really appreciated the precision this one offers. It might have just helped me step up my eyeshadow game!

After utilizing the skin care items, eyeshadow brush, and eyeshadow, I can say this month's box was a hit!

Verdict

I love the IPSY Original and always look forward to trying new beauty products. While I have my go-to brands, I’m always excited for the chance to discover something new. This month, I received five fun items that truly elevated both my skincare routine and makeup game. I loved each and every product and was thoroughly impressed.

For just $14, I received five items that I used throughout the month and genuinely enjoyed—especially the moisturizer, eye serum, and eyeshadow. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the April curation. What do you think it will include?
