This month's box centered on "romancing yourself" with a lineup of indulgent finds designed to make your routine feel softer, sweeter, and more intentional. The theme? Self-love deserves good stuff. And honestly, Ipsy nailed it. This is what the subscription does best, and I'm genuinely surprised by how much I loved this curation. So let's dive in and see which product made me fall a little harder for my own reflection.
IPSY Extra is a $32 monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. It used to be called BoxyCharm by IPSY, so you might still see both names. Each box comes with five beauty items—makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance, or tools—and at least four are full-sized.
We also receive the Beauty Boost add-on for $15/month, which includes one additional full-size “premium” product.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)
What’s Inside
OFRA Cosmetics Pure Matte Finishing Powder – Retail Value $35
Color: Tan
Let's address the elephant in the room: their "tan" shade reads decidedly orange. It didn't match my complexion, so this review comes with that caveat. That said, I tested it anyway to assess the formula. This has more coverage than your typical setting powder. I'd call it a true pressed powder rather than a translucent finisher. It does blur and mattify without looking flat or cakey, which is impressive for a compact powder. The texture is finely milled and surprisingly lightweight given the format. I'd be curious to try this in my actual shade, because the performance is there, the color matching just isn't.

Reina Rebelde Eye Definer Liquid Matte Eyeliner – Retail Value $19
Color: Exagerada (black)
What in the world is this? I've tested my fair share of so-called "longwear" liners, but this one performs like semi-permanent eyeliner. The felt tip glides on with buttery precision, and the pigment sets down with zero transfer. I'm talking double-oil-cleansing territory, and even then, I needed a second pass to fully remove it. This will not budge. Rain? Humidity? Tears at a wedding? Forget it. I was genuinely shocked by the tenacity, and this is now my go-to for nights out or any situation where my eyeliner absolutely cannot fail me.

ELEMIS Papaya Enzyme Peel – Retail Value $49
I'm no stranger to this one, so when I saw it in the product options, I had to snag it. This gentle exfoliator uses papaya enzymes (papain) to dissolve dead skin without the harshness of physical scrubs or aggressive acids. It's one of those pre-makeup secret weapons: you apply it, let it sit for a few minutes, and rinse to reveal softer, more even-toned skin with a subtle glow. The milk protein in the formula also adds a smoothing effect that makes the foundation glide on like a dream. It's effective without ever feeling stripping, which is the holy grail for enzyme peels.

Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Raspberry-Tinted Lip & Cheek Stain – Retail Value $28
The OG. Benetint needs no introduction, but I'll sing its praises anyway: it's simple, it works, and the rosy-raspberry tint is universally flattering. This water-based stain dries down completely, so you get long-lasting color that won't smudge or transfer. I use it more on my lips than cheeks, but in a pinch, it's a true multitasker. You can even tap a bit onto your lids for a monochromatic, no-makeup look. If I'm running errands or heading out after work, this is the one product I toss in my bag. Effortless, foolproof, iconic.

Just Ximena The Lip Shader – Retail Value $18
Color: Rosy Mauve
I've been trying to master that K-beauty gradient lip, you know, blurred at the edges, saturated in the center, so I picked this to see if it could help. The precision tip applicator is excellent for getting close to the lip line without overdrawing, and the built-in brush on the opposite end is handy for blending and light exfoliation. The issue? The formula is extremely dry. On bare lips, it tugged and skipped uncomfortably. I had to prep with a lip oil first to get a smooth application, which kind of defeats the purpose of a one-step product. The color payoff is nice, and the blurring brush does its job, but the formula needs work.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $32 + $15 Beauty Boost = $47
Total Value: $149
Takeaways
This was a solid box. Most of these products will actually get used, which matters more to me than trendy packaging or buzzy brand names. The Reina Rebelde eyeliner was the breakout star. Any liner that requires a double oil cleanse has serious staying power, and that's exactly what longwear makeup should deliver. I'm also thrilled to have restocked the ELEMIS Papaya Enzyme Peel at a fraction of retail. It's a cult favorite for good reason: gentle, effective, and consistently delivers results.
The OFRA powder was a miss, but it's purely a shade-matching issue, not a fault of the formula. I wish Ipsy allowed shade selection per product rather than relying on our initial quiz responses, because complexion needs vary. What reads as "tan" for a bronzer might be "medium" for a powder. It's feedback worth sending their way.
