What's Inside The Bag
Eco-Chic Makeup Bag - Retail Value $12
This month's bag is very pretty. I like how the pops of color in the water contrasted with the black and white buildings. I am not usually fond of anything with inspirational quotes, but I like the general aesthetic of the bag's design.
So Susan Cosmetics - Liquid Powder Shadow Palette in "Sumptuous Smoke" - Retail Value $14.95
In the past, I've tried shadows from So Susan that I adore and still use daily, and while this more affordable line does not have my favorite formula, I think these shades actually work! The mattes build and they don't get muddy, and I really like the subtle silver sparkle in two of the shades.
Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics - Lip Oil in "Cherry Tomato" - Retail Value $21
Everything about this lip oil is yummy. The juicy red color is perfect for spring, and the fruity smell is borderline addictive. It glides on smoothly and nourishes the lips while providing them with excellent shine and a hint of color. I loved this over a bright lipstick, but it was also nice alone for a hint of color and hydration.
Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics - Luna Light in "Rose Halo" - Retail Value $19
At 36, I feel as though I need highlighter more than ever. Bring on the definition, bring on the youthful glow! This opalesent pink pearl color is my favorite, yet! I can use a tiny dab alone, stippling it on my cheek bones or mixed with a base for an all over glow; either way, a tiny dab goes a long way. This tube will last years! I've never used a whole tube before its expiration.
So Susan Cosmetics - Hera Mist - Retail Value $42
I enjoy wearing perfume for my own benefit; a flick of my hair and I am immersed in a calming, almost aromatherapy-esque fragrance. Hera Mist has a lovely fragrance that reminds me of essential oils, but $42 for a small bottle of spray is bananas. I love it when I get such a high-priced item inside a subscription box, but I always hope deep down that I don't totally fall in love with it. Argan oil helps to keep frizz at bay while menthol soothes the scalp.
BONUS ITEM : Peony Cosmetics - Wonder Bloom in "Blue Hyacinth" - Retail Value $15
I love this duo of shades, not only for their metallic hues, but the formula is buttery soft; it makes blending it out a walk in the park. It is so easy using your finger to swipe on all over the eyelid for a sophisticated shimmery look, or you can build it up for a fun pop of color.
