The May 2025 Box
As a beauty enthusiast, I have been a subscriber to a slew of make-up boxes. But Medusa's Make-Up is still pretty new to me. When the opportunity to review this box arose, I jumped at the chance, and couldn't wait to see what it was all about. After my first box, I became obsessed - so what does May's box have in store?! Read below to find out!
Wrapped in a beautiful pink foil mailer, it was love at first sight! I was so excited to see this in my mailbox that I actually jumped for joy! This month I again received a bubble mailer makeup pouch and was pretty excited about this bonus inclusion as they work great for travel! Now, let's dig in.
Kicking things off, we got an info card that lays out everything inside the box, complete with their retail values. This month's card features some lovely foliage that has me itching to get in the garden! There’s no official theme mentioned, but I’m more than ready to dive in!
Lip Oil - Bird of Paradise - Retail Value $12.00
This month, the first item we received was Medusa's Make-Up Lip Oil in "Bird of Paradise." This oil delivers a shiny, hydrating finish that feels smooth and nourishing without any stickiness. The unique applicator adds a fun, futuristic touch that makes reapplying a joy. While it’s not the longest-lasting, the gorgeous glossy look and feel-good formula make it totally worth it!

Though colorless, this added a nice shine to my lips for a natural look that felt hydrating! A great inclusion for the upcoming summer months!
Totally Baked Eyeshadow in "Fer Sure" - Listed Value $12.00
Medusa's Make-Up Totally Baked Eyeshadow in "Fer Sure" is a stunning surprise in a compact, eye-catching pan. The rich burgundy shade with its metallic finish adds a bold, unexpected twist to any look. Though it's not a color I’d usually reach for, it ended up being a fun and flattering pop in my daily makeup routine. The formula applies smoothly and has impressive staying power throughout the day. It’s a playful way to step outside the neutral zone and try something a little more daring!

Though this picture doesn't show it, the burgundy does pop quite nicely in regular lighting!
Medusa's Make-Up Tinted Lip Balm - DM – Listed Value $12.00
Next up, we received a tinted lip balm in a cute little white-capped tube. With a creamy formula, this sort of reminds me of a tinted ChapStick, and I'm kind of here for it. With a light feel, it's super easy to wear and delivers just the right pop of color. I'm obsessed!

While not as pigmented as a lipstick, this was a really nice inclusion and I felt the color I received went well with my skin tone. Overall, I was very happy to receive this lip balm!
Lip and Cheek Stain – Listed Value $18.00
I love a good blush, but lip and cheek stains are a bit new to me. This month, we received a small tin adorned with polka dots and a rose, holding a jelly-like formula meant for staining both lips and cheeks. Though the pigment looks dark in the tin, it goes on lightly, giving a lovely sun-kissed flush. I ended up preferring it as a blush, but it also gave my lips a soft, hydrated glow that I really enjoyed!
Glaze Glitter Stick – Listed Value $8.00
If you know me, you know I am glitter obsessed. Even at 36 years old, I still can't get enough, so receiving this glitter stick was perfect! While not as glitzy as the sparkly cap might suggest, the creamy shadow inside has just the right touch of shimmer to add a subtle sparkle to my lids. It applies like an eyeliner, making it super versatile, and I was thrilled to get such a wearable, fun shade!

Here you can see the pinkish hue of the cheek stain paired with the glitter stick. What fun products for this lovely spring!
Brush - Retail Value $6
The last item we received was a small eyeshadow brush, and it was a great little surprise. With black and pink bristles, it’s as cute as it is functional. The soft bristles made blending out creases a breeze and worked surprisingly well for smudging a bit of liner too. It’s a handy addition to my brush collection!
The Verdict
This month's curation of Medusa's Make-Up was great, especially because we received six items! I enjoyed all six items and felt the color choices were spot on for spring. My favorites were definitely the lip oil, eyeshadow, cheek stain, and glitter, but I also found the lip balm and brush useful as well. Overall, I enjoyed all of this month's contents, but am hoping to see six items in the June box! What was your favorite item in this month's bag? Let me know in the comments below.
Keep track of your subscriptions by adding this box to your subscription list or wishlist!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the June box. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.
Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $70.00 worth of items this month with these six items. This is more than three times the cost of the box! That's definitely a good value for $22.95!
