First Impressions
The monthly Beauty Heroes delivery comes in a white box with a red-dotted sticker sealing it. Inside, our products of the month fit perfectly with the brown paper and tissue needed to arrive safely.
This month Beauty Heroes brings us two gorgeous products that I can only think of as potions. They're rich and potent, and from a brand—Laurel Skin—that grows, harvests, and creates skincare in small batches in Northern California. Their slow beauty process starts with biodynamic farming, resulting in therapeutic-grade, high-performance skincare meant to deliver plant energy at its best. Whew! I want to live in a Laurel Skin bottle!
Rather than suggesting how to work our new Laurel Skin products into a routine with previous deliveries, this month the One Way to Play card showcases what other products in the Laurel Skin range we could purchase to create a cohesive collection on our bathroom counter.
The Products
Laurel Skin Petal Alchemy, 30 ml - Retail Value $112
Oh my gosh, one sniff of this serum had me feeling instantly nostalgic—it shares a very aromatic ingredient with the belly balm I used through both my pregnancies, and I've never been able to find the smell again. Now I feel determined to figure out which ingredient it is! This serum is lush but not heavy, and it sinks in beautifully. The scent is rich and lingers. After a few uses, my skin felt softer, more balanced, and just…happier. It’s like a gentle floral hug in serum form—quietly effective and totally lovely.
Laurel Skin Hydrating Elixir 1, 50 ml - Retail Value $42
These two products together are like a walk through the garden. The Hydrating Elixir I is a refreshing mist that feels both grounding and uplifting. It has a blend of heirloom rose, marshmallow root, and reishi that together offer an earthy rose aroma. I wasn't always a fan of a face spritz because I didn't feel I could always get an even application, but I've chilled out about it a little, and also this bottle offers a pretty even spray. My skin feels soothed and comfortably hydrated from this formula—no stickiness, just a soft, dewy finish. It’s become a gentle, nourishing step in my daily routine.

This spray layers beautifully under serums and creams, helping everything absorb a little better, and its ingredients work together to naturally replenish moisture, soothe inflammation, plump and smooth, calm and fortify.
Verdict
The June delivery from Beauty Heroes is a burst of garden freshness with big time aromatherapy and plant healing power. They introduced us to the magic with Petal Alchemy and Hydrating Elixir I, but I sincerely hope we'll see more of the Laurel Skin line in future boxes. This box costs $58.95. Our two products add up to $154. A great value like always!
