So happy to report that the kinks in the platform have been worked out and this month was sooo much better than my January experience! In fact, I even purchased a pair of earrings, but only wish I had waited for the President's Day sale so I could save an extra 25%.

Most times I've justified a purchase, I not only took advantage of the Rocksbox discounts, but there's been a sale too!

Rocksbox is a jewelry styling and rental service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy whatever they love at a discounted price. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your ever-growing wish list. Members can keep and wear the three pieces they receive for as long as they want, or they can switch out sets whenever they'd like. Rocksbox also offers a monthly credit so you can buy the pieces for less.

Concerned about cleanliness? Each piece is sterilized with alcohol jewelry cleaner using medical grade products and handled with jewelry experts wearing gloves.

This is a review of the monthly plan for $21, which includes shipping to the US only.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Just like other subscription boxes, when I signed up for Rocksbox I had to set up a style profile that asked me questions like my metal preference, and which necklace, earring, bracelet, and ring styles I liked the most.

Let's check out this month's delivery!

What I Received

Kendra Scott Brielle Linear Drop Earrings- Retail Value $98, Member Price $98

About this item: While the earrings slightly remind me of a piece you'd see by Van Cleef & Arpels, the Kendra Scott Brielle earrings are unique and elegant! Crafted in 14k gold-plated brass with ivory Mother-of-Pearl insets, these artful earrings feature signature Kendra Scott shapes and her iconic logo. They're quite lightweight and measure at about 2.5" long.

Condition: Excellent.

Review: I didn't get that much wear out of them, but still thought they were very attractive, and a total statement piece.

Ava Rose Memphis Twisted Hoops - Retail Price $60, Member Price $51

About this item: The look and feel of the Ava Rose Twisted Hoop earrings kind of reminded me of a knit sweater. Designed in 14k gold-plated brass, these medium-sized hoops are shiny and chic. They measure at 1" long and they are quite heavy! I had to take a few days off each time I wore them to relax my earlobes.

Condition: Perfect!

Review: Despite the weight, I couldn't let them go so I made them mine! I mean, they were only like $25.

Kate Spade My Love Cluster Studs - Retail Value $98, Member Price $98

About this item: You'll totally heart these lovely Kate Spade studs! Crafted in plated metal with cubic zirconia hearts, these sparkly studs feature three hearts and a titanium post with signature Kate Spade clutch backings. They measure in at 0.75" in width and length, and despite being a little oversized, they're quite light!

Condition: Excellent.

Review: Super cute! The perfect Valentine's Day earrings. They're chunky, but not overly cheesy and the hearts are subtle and sweet.

The Verdict

Happy to report that this set made me much happier than the last one! Since I'm heading to Florida this week, I rented a bunch of pieces that would be perfect for a little island getaway, and I can't wait! As for Rocksbox, I'm noticing that I'm running out of pieces to rent, and the new arrivals have gotten a little cartoonish like they're geared towards teens or children.

Either they need to add more elevated pieces, or maybe I've exhausted myself of items I'd like to try. I've noticed the same thing with clothing rentals too!

Value Breakdown: Rocksbox membership costs $21 per month. At retail, the three pieces would've cost me $247. With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing including the buy-all-three-items $10 discount, the $21 of Shine Credit (doesn't look like this applied this time), and my Rose Gold Rewards discount of $12.35 the total price for the three items goes down to $203.65.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and packed based on the customer's tastes and what's available at the time. You can, however, help guide the Rocksbox stylists and add your favorite pieces to your wishlist!

If shopping were an Olympic sport, I’d be a gold medalist. And while my bank account often feels the crunch, I just can’t stop buying secondhand clothing and accessories, under-the-radar designer goods, stuffed animal unicorns (I have about 75), and toys for my pet bunny rabbit. After 20 years of city slicking in NYC and DC, I now have a car and love to tour the Virginia countryside looking for vintage shops, undiscovered wineries and breweries, historic sites, and Thai restaurants—I’m addicted to Thai food. I never leave home without a spare phone charger because I love horror movies and therefore have an irrational fear of being stranded somewhere with a dead battery.
