CatLadyBox is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $34.99 per month CatLadyBox has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., while the $39.99 per month Crazy CatLadyBox contains everything from the CatLadyBox plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the Crazy CatLadyBox.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

As soon as the box arrives, you know your cat-loving heart is in for a good time. Everything arrives in a brown cardboard box with a black cat silhouette on it. Once you open it up, you can expect to find anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy CatLadyBox, you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

This box does come with an info sheet, and the other side features custom artwork. This month's artist is Jamie Shelman.

The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Crazy Cat Lady Box

First, let's meet the cat that will be helping me to review this box. If you've been reading my MSA reviews for a while, you may remember my old cat, Duchess. Duchess is no longer here with me, and after a few months, I felt ready to get another cat companion. Meet Sir Goose! I adopted him when he was one month and twenty-two days old, and he was 2.2 pounds. Now he is two years old and I have yet to find a toy he won't play with!

Goose will turn three in April, and according to his most recent vet visit he weighs in at fourteen pounds! He's not overweight though, according to his vet. He is just a proportionally big boy!

Whisker Wonderland T-Shirt - Listed Value $22.99

Oh, I quite like this shirt. The pretty berry color is neither too bright or too deep, and the silhouette of cats playing among the forest trees at night is too precious. Cat Lady Box makes super comfortable shirts, and I like that they are cut longer in the torso and provide a touch more coverage.

Quilty Cats Blanket - Listed Value $19.99

This blanket is for human use, but it’s made of that incredibly soft minky fabric, and I know Goose is going to LOVE cuddling and burying his face into it. The colorful pattern featuring different cats is quite fun, and I’ve actually already seen my husband using this blanket- apparently, while I was sleeping I hogged all of our comforter and, rather than wake me up to share, he grabbed this blanket off of our couch and came back to bed.

Snowkitty Socks - Listed Value $9.99

These socks are absolutely adorable- along with the cute pattern with cat faces at the top, the very top of the socks even have fabric ears that peek out. I don’t have any socks quite like these and will be wearing them all year in my house.

Starry Snowflake Catnip Wand Toy - Listed Value $5.99

Goose is a huge lover of wand toys, and we haven’t received one in a while in this subscription so I was happy to see this smiley, starry snowflake toy.

Parker the Polar Bear Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99

Unboxing this toy triggered a memory I haven’t thought about in years- when I worked as a camp counselor we would sing quite a few songs, and one of them was about Percy the pale-faced polar bear. I had to do a double-take and check that this toy is, in fact, named Parker! He’s a cute little guy with soft fur and the perfect size for Goose to bat around.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $39.99 per month (with a 6-month plan)+ free US shipping. Month-to-month cost is $43.99

Value Breakdown:

  • Shirt: $22.99
  • Blanket: $19.99
  • Socks: $9.99
  • Wand Toy: $5.99
  • Polar Bear Toy: $5.99

Everything in this box is bespoke to the subscription, so I have to go by listed values (though some of the products will be available for sale in the CatLadyBox shop!). The values add up to $64.95 this month.

Key Takeaways

This month's CatLadyBox may have been the best one in 2023 for me! I love the shirt design and color, and I am charmed by both the socks and the blanket. I especially love that the blanket is something Goose will enjoy just as much as his humans do. If you're looking for fun cat-themed items you can enjoy around your home and share with your feline friend, you're going to see a lot more value in this box than someone who is going strictly off of listed values (or who desires brand name products in a box).

Other Things You Should Know

Where does the CatLadyBox ship to? The US (free to the lower 48, an additional fee for Alaska or Hawaii), the UK, and Canada.

Do I have to have a cat to enjoy this subscription? Nope! If you love cats but don't have one of your own, that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the fun- you can subscribe to the CatLadyBox, which will come with the same products as the Crazy CatLadyBox sans the cat toys.

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No. Sign up before the end of December to receive the January box.
