First Impressions

Ask me what my favorite past times are, and you can bet soaking in the bathtub and long, hot showers will be included in my answer. That being said, when I was given the opportunity to review the Bath Bevy box, I couldn't pass it up. Reading Jessica's reviews for years, this subscription has been on my wish list forever, and now I get to see what it's all about! Read below to see what we received in the January box.

Unlike some subscription boxes, this blue and white box presented beautifully. Not only did this box have some serious weight to it, but upon opening, debuted sparkly tissue paper, a sweetly placed sticker, and crinkle paper! These small, but thoughtful touches made this truly feel like I was opening a gift, which made it that much more fun! Besides the items, Bath Bevy also includes an info sheet detailing all of the products included.

Bath Bevy "Snow Day” January 2024 Review

Silky Vanilla Solid Lotion Stick - Retail Value $15

I have a love/hate relationship with lotion. While I love the hydration, I hate when it dirties my jewelry and gives me greasy hands. This lotion bar takes away all of the bad and only spreads the good! Encased in what's shaped like a deodorant stick, this silky vanilla flavored solid lotion is easy to use, incredibly moisturizing, and smells absolutely divine. Made with organic sunflower oil, beeswax, shea butter, fragrance, and Vitamin E, the lusciousness of this stick is impressive. I applied it to my legs pretty generously after showering, and the next day, my legs were still moisturized. Perfect for applying on the top of my hands, I no longer look like the crypt keeper and smell delicately like the most natural and lovely vanilla bean. While at first I thought it was kinda neat, after a few uses, it might just be my favorite item in the box!

Snow Ball Fight Bath Bomb Trio - Retail Value $15

I don't know when I discovered my first bath bomb, but all I can say is they truly make a bath enjoyable. I personally love baths, and while my husband is more of a shower kind of guy, my kids have taken after me and enjoy the tub too. These particular bath bombs are hefty in size and smell amazingly like peppermint. Because my family is just recovering from a virus, the peppermint oil in these bombs helped clear out my sinuses, all while making my bath bubbly and fun. Utilizing ingredients like Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Epsom Salt, SLSA*, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Essential Oils, Fragrance Oils, FD&C Colorant, these bombs last longer than other brands I have tried before, and the scent really carries. While not a lot of color action, this was a perfect scent for January, and I look forward to more bath bombs in the future!

Snowed In Bubble Salt by Two Wild Hares - Retail Value $10

Bubble salt is a new concept to me, and I was intrigued to give it a try. With scents of cherry, lime, citrus, and berry, this was a change from the previous peppermint scent, and really wowed with the blue color. Housed in a resealable pouch, these salts added a bit of bubble and created a swirl of blue that left me and my body feeling deeply relaxed. A fun inclusion, my kids have enjoyed adding a sprinkle of color to their tubs and watching the bubbles come alive.

Hot Cocoa Whipped Soap Scrub - Retail Value $15

How fun is this product?! I love a soap scrub, but combined with hot cocoa fragrance AND with a whipped frosting texture, I don't think you can get any better! Deep brown in color with a dried lava like sheen, this scrub exfoliates beautifully, all while being super fun to use. The hot cocoa fragrance is spot on, and literally smells good enough to eat. My kids got a kick out of this scrub and excitedly scrubbed their feet with it, giggling and smiling the entire time. Because I love exfoliating prior to shaving my legs, this has definitely become my go-to, and I just can't get enough of the fun theme.

Lavender Pajamas Whipped Soap - Retail Value $15

The last item we received was a lavender scented whipped soap. With a fluffy, Cool-Whip like texture, this not only smells like sweet lavender and vanilla, but feels like a thick shaving cream. Fun to use, it works really well prior to shaving, for an ultra moisturizing feel. Who said bath time couldn't be fun?!

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy or another small business. Bath Bevy will typically sell these products individually on the website, and everything this month added up to $70.

Key Takeaways

This is my first experience with the Bath Bevy box after years of swooning over it, and I couldn't be more impressed. Not only was the presentation top notch, but the quality of the items, fragrances, and overall curation was, too. My favorite items were the trio of bath bombs, along with the lotion stick, as they both smelled amazing and were very functional. Bath time is how I wind down and de-stress from the day, so adding these beautifully created artisan bath products help create an ultra relaxing experience and brighten my mood. If you don't take baths, don't let that deter you from subscribing! Bath Bevy also offers a tubless subscription. If you're a fan of artisan bath products, this is a subscription box worth checking out. Everyone deserves a little extra self-care!
