First Impressions

December is here, and with it comes joy, cheer, germs, and stress. This truly is my favorite time of year, but admittedly, an unrelenting cough, a bout of COVID, and the usual December to-do's have me a little overwhelmed. A bit down in the dumps, this month's Wicked Good's box showed up on my doorstep to brighten my mood and awaken my happy old self. With a beautiful presentation, the "Peace on Earth" fragrances represented December magically and left me feeling very blessed. Read below to see what I discovered in this month's box.

What's Inside This Box

"Snow Angel" Perfume Oil Roller, 10 mL - Listed Value $18

When I think of December, notes of cedar and cinnamon come to mind, so I was thoroughly surprised to see the fragrances listed for this month's perfume oil roller. With notes of Anjou pear, alpine air, moonlit jasmine, ghost gardenia, white flowers, and luminous musk, at first sniff I felt this was more of a springtime perfume. When worn on my wrists, after combining with my skin, the pear notes calmed down and it really reminded me of the fresh frigid air December brings. With sparkling glitter and snowflakes in the roller, this oil is beautiful and unique. A bit unconventional compared to other Christmasy scents, I have to say, this really did encompass the title "Snow Angel" well. Because this particular oil roller is pretty light, I keep it in my purse for re-application.

"Peace On Earth" Perfume Spray, 1 oz - Listed Value $39

The second item in this month's box also was fitting for our "Peace on Earth" theme. With the exact title as our theme, this perfume spray contained notes of almond, coffee, lemon, tuberose, orange blossom, orris, tonka bean, cacao, vanilla, praline, sandalwood, cinnamon, patchouli, and cedar. Again, not the typical winter scent I am used to, but one I am really digging! Fruity at first, with deeper cedar notes to finish it off, this multi-layered perfume wears really nicely. Coordinating with the perfume oil roller, this perfume is blue with glitter sprinkled inside. Lovely to look at, and even more lovely to smell, I love this combination!

"Yuletide Ylang" Elixir Oil, 1 oz - Listed Value $19.95

Also included in this month's box was a nice sized bottle of elixir oil. Featuring the same lovely blue label as the other items, this too takes on a fruitier scent then I was expecting for December. With notes of lemon lime, tonka bean, jasmine, Christmas rose, ylang ylang, caramel, and honey, this truly is magic in a bottle! To be used as a moisturizer for hair, nails, and skin; it really creates radiance. While I mostly use it on my legs after shaving, I also added a dab to the ends of my hair for a light and cool scent. Good bye winter blues, and hello winter bliss!

"First Snow" Lip Scrub

With the dry winter air, my lips get extremely chapped, so I am all about the lip scrub. This version is quite course, has a wonderful spearmint scent, and is adorned with sprinkles! A little messy to apply, this was delicious and left my lips silky smooth. Great for a self-care evening with a hot bath and face mask, this helped to pep up my mood and get me ready for the holiday chaos soon to ensue!

Key Takeaways

This month's Wicked Good box was unique and really quite lovely for December. "Peace on Earth" not only contained beautiful items, but lovely fragrances that are not quite the norm for the holiday season. Presented in a really pretty way, I am a huge fan of the glitter and sprinkle inclusions, and was really in need of this fantastic self-care box. As you probably know, aromatherapy is a huge part of my anxiety management, so for me, this box is a must-have. What did you think of this month's Wicked Good box? I am already looking forward to the January curation!
