Enchanted Crystal is a monthly subscription for crystals, hand-picked and uniquely curated to offer a truly enchanted crystal experience.

This box was sent to us free of charge for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review of the $42.00 Crystal Variety Box.

First Impressions

How cute is the crystal covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation!

The crystals were carefully packaged: nestled in sturdy paper and (separately) enclosed in bubble wrap. My box arrived crushed, but surprisingly, the crystals arrived in perfect condition!

Enchanted Crystal includes an insert in their variety subscription box. On it are several QR codes that link to various letters on their blog. One links to a letter to new subscribers, another to their Crystal Library and one to the current month’s newsletter. In the November blog post, Enchanted Crystal shares some exciting news: they're working on releasing a new subscription option that they hope to have ready in time for the holidays!

Besides continuing to add entries to their Crystal Library, they share that, “With the holidays coming up we'll be offering a lot of upcoming sales and deals to give gifts or new subscribers a break on pricing.” So hop onto their website and follow their blog.

The Crystals

Blue Tara Quartz (Old Find, Very Rare, No Longer Mined)

It’s always exciting to receive a rare crystal! This one is Blue Tara Quartz. I’ve never heard of it, but that doesn’t surprise me considering the fact that it’s no longer mined. I don’t know about you, but owning a stone that is rare and no longer mined makes it feel more precious.

According to Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library, “Blue Tara Quartz is a variety Enchanted Crystal has sourced directly from a mine in Brazil. This particular mine's location and name can not be disclosed to protect local communities. Also, this mine is no longer being accessed for any further mining operations and it is believed that all of this variety of Blue Tara Quartz was collected. This means, what you may be holding right now, will never be found in this exact composition ever again. A truly remarkable and rare variety of quartz!”

Besides being beautiful and rare, the Crystal Library adds, “Metaphysically, natural Blue Tara Quartz is believed to possess calming and soothing properties. It resonates with the throat chakra, facilitating clear and harmonious communication. Blue Tara Quartz is thought to encourage self-expression, helping individuals articulate their thoughts and feelings with clarity and authenticity. It supports effective communication, fostering empathy and understanding in relationships.”

Fluorite Set (Raw)

This is my second month in a row, receiving a set of raw fluorite. I’m not complaining though, because it’s one of my favorite stones. Plus, since it’s all natural, no two are alike. Last month’s set was very green. This month I was excited to find a piece that is blue and purple. When I buy fluorite beads for jewelry making, I tend to buy what is referred to as “Rainbow Fluorite” and has blue and purple coloring. The green is pretty but I’m a sucker for blues and purples. Which explains why I’ve taken many, many photos of this month’s specimens!

According to the fluorite entry in the Crystal Library, “The presence of different impurities and trace elements in the fluid give rise to the diverse range of colors observed in fluorite specimens. These specific fluorite specimens are of a raw form, but at one point they were likely all connected in some crystalline formation.”

The Crystal Library adds that, “Metaphysically, fluorite is thought to enhance focus and concentration, making it beneficial for studying and decision-making. Different colors of fluorite are believed to have specific properties, such as purple fluorite enhancing intuition and spiritual awareness, green fluorite promoting heart healing and abundance, and blue fluorite supporting clear communication and self-expression.”

Vanadinite

Vanadinite is another repeat stone for me. I received my first specimen in the box from May of this year. I’m not disappointed though, because this piece is absolutely stunning! I love the clusters of cube shaped crystals. Their shape is so unusual, and they’re very sparkly.

Vanadinite is actually a rare member of the Apatie family and is composed of lead, vanadium, oxygen and chlorine. It typically forms as red, orange or brown hexagonal crystals. These prismatic crystals are really eye-catching. Their geometric-looking structure is unlike any I’ve seen in other crystals.

According to the new Crystal Library on Enchanted Crystal’s website, metaphysically, “Vanadinite is thought to increase motivation, drive, and determination, helping individuals overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Additionally, vanadinite is thought to have a protective quality, shielding against negativity and promoting a sense of stability and security.”

Moon Charger Lemurian

This next crystal is completely new to me; I’ve never seen or heard of it, which is always exciting. I received two clear crystal points. One is very smooth and transparent while the other is textured with a cloudy opacity. The listing in the Crystal Library is absolutely fascinating!

According to Enchanted Crystal, “Mooncharger Lemurians are a type of Lemurian Seed Crystal, a variety of quartz reputed to be imprinted with the wisdom of an ancient civilization known as Lemuria, much like their more famous counterparts, the Lemurian Seed Crystals. The "Mooncharger" moniker derives from their association with lunar energy and the belief that they are most potent when charged under the light of the moon, especially during significant lunar phases such as the full moon or new moon. The term "Lemurian" is rooted in the idea that these crystals were left by the Lemurians as a form of knowledge transmission to be discovered by later generations. The unique striations and patterns on their surfaces are considered to be the "barcodes" carrying this lost knowledge.”

The Crystal Library adds, “In metaphysical circles, Mooncharger Lemurians are said to combine the quintessential qualities of Lemurian Seeds — high vibration, access to spiritual wisdom, and the capacity to enhance meditation — with an added layer of intuitive and feminine energy bestowed by the moon. They are often used in healing and meditative practices with an emphasis on emotional healing, understanding one’s inner self, and tapping into the collective unconscious. Believers in crystal healing might employ these stones in rituals or keep them nearby to harness their energy for personal growth and enlightenment.”

Azurite (Rare, Old Find)

Last, but certainly not least, my favorite stone in the box is azurite. Azurite is another repeat for me; it’s been exactly a year since Enchanted Crystal sent me the previous piece. But I’m not at all disappointed; in fact, I’m elated! Azurite is one of my favorite stones and I let my sister have my first piece, because I didn’t yet have a place to store my collection. I’ve been debating asking for it back because, even though it was a year ago that I received it, it hasn’t left my mind. The blue is beyond stunning; like the other repeats this month, I like these crystals even more than I did the first ones! Now my sister and I can both enjoy our azurite!

Enchanted Crystal’s Library didn’t exist when I first started writing reviews of their boxes so I’m thrilled to be able to read their take on this remarkable stone. Azurite is a deep blue mineral found in copper ore deposits, often found alongside another copper mineral called malachite. Judging by the pieces of azurite for sale in Enchanted Crystal’s Shop, my piece of azurite is both rare and valuable (Though I won’t be parting with it!).

According to the Crystal Library, “Metaphysically, azurite is associated with inner vision, intuition, and spiritual insight. It is thought to stimulate the third eye chakra, facilitating access to inner wisdom and expanding one's understanding of oneself and the world. Azurite is considered a stone of communication and creativity. It is believed to stimulate the flow of ideas, enhance artistic abilities, and promote effective self-expression. Azurite is treasured for its deep blue color, which is associated with calmness, inspiration, and a connection to the divine.”

Hand-Crafted Cloth Grid

Each month, a new grid design is printed onto a sturdy, hand-sewn cloth with water-based, PVC-free ink. The grid came with a QR code with a link to its backstory along with suggestions on how to best use it.

According to the blog post on Enchanted Crystal’s page, “An eight-pointed star, sometimes referred to as the Star of Lakshmi in Hindu culture or as the Octagram, is formed by overlapping two squares, which can symbolize the bringing together of the earthly realm (the square) with the spiritual (the star). The squares typically represent stability and balance, being figures with equal sides. This interaction reflects themes of cosmic order, the interconnectedness of the physical and ethereal, and the cyclical nature of life. Each point of the star can also represent a path leading to a spiritual center or enlightenment, a convergence of forces, or an opening of doorways to higher understanding.”

To get the best use of it, Enchanted Crystal adds, “With this many crystal connecting points to work with, smaller selections of quartz may be placed to link other crystals with specific properties together.”

I’m so happy that Enchanted Crystal now explains each grid. When I first started receiving the box a year ago, I had never even seen a grid. I had no idea what it was or how to use it. Now I don’t just have a collection of lovely looking pieces of cloth, I have an understanding of their design, the significance behind them, and how to use them effectively. Fantastic!

The Verdict

November’s variety box from Enchanted Crystal was great. There were a few repeat crystals for me, but in every case, they were even more lovely than the first ones I received. I’ve been reviewing Enchanted Crystal’s boxes for a year now and the quality and value of each box has continued to improve.

I’m still really enthused by Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library! It didn’t exist when I started reviewing them and I just love being able to easily look up the physical and metaphysical properties of each stone. I don’t know about you, but the more I learn about each crystal, the more I appreciate and admire it. As promised, Enchanted Crystal continues to update the listings monthly. I try to give a snippet of information from each stone’s listing but there is always more and it’s so worth reading.

While I’m still not a firm believer in all of the metaphysical powers attributed to crystals, I really do enjoy admiring and studying them. I’ve learned that like in life, there’s so much more to their beauty than their outward appearance. I enjoy learning about how they’re formed within the earth and how they’re used throughout the world.

I’m always excited to check my mail and see a new box from Enchanted Crystal!
