Dia & Co
2.5 overall rating

Dia & Co is a monthly plus-size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia & Co, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes, and dislikes. Featuring sizes 10-32, every month my stylist selects five (or six) items, that could be clothes or accessories, to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 25% discount is applied if I choose to keep all five items, too!

The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co may be entirely different than mine!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

First Impressions

Eek! I was so excited to open my very first Dia & Co box! Upon initial opening, I was greeted by a list of items I received, a note from my stylist, and an envelope to send back the items I didn't want to purchase.

The invoice features a detailed list containing the brand, name, color, size, and price of each item that was selected just for me. The invoice amount is then totaled up to include the $20 styling fee, along with a 25% discount if I decide to purchase the entire box. Laid out well, and easy to understand, I was impressed with the ultimate savings of almost $100!

Now for the fashions!

This is my first experience with Dia and Co and I couldn't be more excited. Throughout my entire life my weight and size has fluctuated a lot, and after delivering 10.5 and 9 pound babies, my body definitely changed (hello apron belly). For reference, I am 5' 7" and 160 pounds. My hip/bust/waist ratio is completely straight up and down, and my butt is pretty much non-existent. That makes it tough to shop for pants, because the waist tends to be too small and the legs/butt area too baggy. I am very self conscious about my tummy, so crop tops are a no-go for me, but I am okay with my arms and neck area. Based on that info (and more) these are the items that were chosen for me.

CeCe L/S Tulip Ditsy Collared Dress with Bow, Size 10 - Listed Value $89

While not on the website, this collared dress made by CeCe is super cute. Navy blue is one of my favorite colors, and I liked the tiny floral pattern coupled with the bow. With long sleeves, this is a great transition piece into fall and winter, and the polyester construction was high quality and comfortable to wear. Featuring buttons all the way down, this has an oversized shirt look, and is completely on trend.

I have to admit, this dress probably isn't an item I would have chosen for myself, because of the straight up and down silhouette, but it actually started to grow on me. I received this dress in a size 10, and it fit perfectly. The sleeves hit exactly where I like them, and there was no bunching with the buttons. It was comfortable and cute, and I really liked the addition of the bow. Maloree didn't offer any styling tips with this one, so I just paired it with a pair of wedge heels. After looking at the photos, I think wearing my hair down would create a more casual look, and I'm thinking about some tights. What are your thoughts on this look?

Shiraleah Ryker Hobo Bag - Listed Value $59

If you haven't met me yet, I am all about the bling, so this hobo bag was right up my alley. Featuring soft polyurethane leather, this bag feels luxurious, and looks that way too. With an inside zip-up pocket, you have room to store your keys or other important items as the top closure is a magnetic button. Sitting comfortably on the shoulder, the neutral color goes with just about anything, and those shiny rivets just amp up the excitement. Very cute!

Large in size, this hobo bag fits more than all of your essentials. Perfect for holiday shopping, this bag fits perfectly on my shoulder and is so soft and comfortable. Though the picture doesn't do it justice, the way the light sparkles off the rivets really adds a flare of festivity to any outfit.

Molly & Isadora Myla Button-Up Shirt, Size 10/12 - Listed Value $59

Fun fact - jean jackets are my absolute go-to, and have been since about 2001. I layer denim on top so often that my mother-in-law comments when I don't wear it. That being said, I was tickled to receive this dark wash button-up shirt. Made from lyocell, this soft top has a denim look, but cotton feel. A little wrinkly from travel, this top irons out nice, and is completely on trend.

I received this top in a size 10/12, and it fit perfectly. Maloree suggested layering it over a graphic tee with one of the pairs of jeans I received this month, but after living in the era of denim on denim in the early 2000s, I can't bring myself to go back. Styled with a pair of black distressed jeggings, I went for a more casual look here, but also have worn it with a skirt, and as a layered top.

CeCe Puff Sleeve Knit Top, 10/12 - Listed Value $69

The style of this top is so cute! Made from 95% polyester and 5% spandex, this knit top features a wide neckline, with embroidered puff sleeves. Perfect for winter, this top can be casual, or dressed up. I was very impressed with the stitching and embroidery, as it was high quality and overall really cute.

I love a black blouse because they can be paired with jeans for a put together, yet comfy look. This top was listed as a 10/12 on my invoice, but XXL on the tag. While this top was a bit large in the body, it was really flowy and extra comfy. Would I have opted for a smaller size? Probably, but I was so excited to wear it to school, I just decided to go with it. With the wider neck line, it gave plenty of coverage, while also showing off an area I am comfortable with.

Kut From The Kloth Rachael High Rise Mom Jean, Size 10 - Listed Value $49

I have caught a few Tik Toks that make fun of skinny jeans on my generation, and I am soooo okay with that! This particular pair features a few tears and a frayed hem with an ultra high waist line, which is great for moms like me! I absolutely love the look of these jeans, but how did they fit?

Honestly, I love the look of these jeans, but in this particular season, would have preferred a little bit longer pair. Besides that, I loved the color and the cut, along with the distressing. I received a size 10, and the waist fit well, but was almost a little tight, while the booty and thighs were a little baggy. I did see in the online description, these are recommended for gals who are curvy in the hips, which sadly isn't me, but overall, I did enjoy these pants.

Molly & Isadora Greenwich Bootcut Jean 32", Sie 10 - Listed Value $73

Bring on the jeans! Instead of skinny, this pair featured a bootcut, and a 32" inseam, which was perfect for my 5' 7" frame. The medium wash is one I tend to gravitate towards, and the stretchy feel was very comfortable. Cute!

This pair of pants was definitely my favorite. Though like I mentioned above, I tend to gravitate towards jeggings because of my unique body proportions, I loved this pair of pants. Sitting high on my waist, these were long enough for me to wear a wedge heel, and hugged my butt well. While a little baggy through my legs, I did notice that my 20 year old nieces wear their jeans exactly like this, so I feel on trend and have worn this many times already!

Verdict

This month was my first experience with Dia & Co and I am really excited about it. After I filled out the initial profile info, I didn't add anything to my wish list, or "like" any of the items, just to see what my stylist would have in mind. The six items that were chosen for me, were all ones that coordinated with my style profile, and were extremely high quality. That being said, I did learn that it is helpful to the stylist if you "like" items on the website, review items, and share photos through Pinterest or Insta for them to really hone in on your style and preferences. Because I live in the middle of nowhere, (seriously!) our shopping options are pretty much non-existent, so unless I want to drive at least an hour one way just to try on some clothes, this is definitely the ticket!

Each item selected for me this month definitely fit my style profile, but a couple of the fits were a little off. Relaying that when I rated the items on the Dia and Co site, I am hopeful that next month the sizes will be zeroed in a bit more to fit my body proportions. Also intriguing is the option of buying directly from the site. There are tons of extremely cute options that go on sale quite frequently. Also, each month you are given the option to accrue points from styling options and direct purchases that you can use towards purchasing more items. You can't beat that, right?!

Overall, I was very impressed with the thoughtfulness put into this box. Maloree did a nice job offering styling advice and I'm really looking forward to see what is in store for next month!

I think the title needs to be updated. I can’t imagine size 10 is “Plus Size”. That said, I liked everything but the dress!

Ann

It’s just the name of the box. Dia & Co only carries sizes 10 and up.

I couldn’t agree more! I appreciate this site featuring all shapes and size, but I’m pretty sure this gorgeous lady is not considered plus size by many, myself included.

Thank you so much for sharing your comments! I appreciate them! Because Dia and Co. lists themselves as a Plus Size company and offers sizes 10-32, I left the title be. Next month though, I will update to just Dia and Co. Thank you again for all of the comments and thoughts – keep them coming! 😊

I agree size 10 is in no way plus size – it’s equivalent to a medium or large in most cases. But I don’t think the plus size label should be retired. It’s a disturbing fact that 40% of Americans are obese and another 30% are overweight (frac.org), and normalizing obesity doesn’t benefit anyone. I myself am overweight bordering on obese at a size 14 for my height, and am against weight shaming, but i don’t think we as a society should throw in the towel and accept being an obese nation.

Since the average size of American women is currently 16 or 18, I wish the plus size label would just be retired. It’s just a clothing size. I’m sure that stores and services that cater to the plus size market would still attract women who wear plus size clothing without having to use that term. Just my two cents.

Becca, you look great in these outfits and are very beautiful. Thank you for a stellar review!
