First Impressions

"Spooky, scary, skeletons send shivers down your spine, shrieking skulls will shock your soul, seal your doom tonight!"  That is the song my boys have been serenading me with on the car rides to school, and one that fits seemingly well with this month's Wicked Good's box. Featuring ultra spooky fragrance names like "Witch's Elixir" and "Ghost Breath," this month left me feeling very festive along with smelling boo-tiful! 🤣 Read below to see what I discovered in this month's box.

What's Inside This Box

"Witch's Elixir" Perfume Oil Roller, 10 mL - Listed Value $18

I have to say, I am getting some awesomely vintage "Hocus Pocus" vibes from the packaging of this month's items, and the glitter in the perfume oil has me in love! This particular aroma features notes of pineapple leaf, autumn sage, anise, heart of palm, wormwood, and vodka sugar. This combination is lovely, but actually a little more summery than I was expecting for a fall flavor. Bright and cheery, it mixes well with my natural skin and has a staying power of a couple hours. For continuous fragrance, I do keep this roller ball in my purse for re-application.

"Midnight Madness" Perfume Spray, 1 oz - Listed Value $39

Our second item came with another fun title of "Midnight Madness." This perfume spray is one of the first colored sprays I've received, and because of the theme, it kind of added to the experience! Not only was it a golden yellow, but it was filled with beautiful star, moon, and shaped confetti. Featuring notes of starflower, sugared tangelo, garden thyme, red poppies, sandalwood musk, and amber, this had a sweet and musky aroma that livened up my skin. Interestingly enough, I found that the sandalwood musk popped a little more when worn on my clothing compared to on my skin. Overall, I am a big fan of this concoction, and love the vintage look it gives my vanity!

"Mystic Mirth" Foaming Shower Oil

With all of these different containers, I really do feel like I am making potions! The next item was a red-tinted bottle filled with foaming shower oil. It features notes of blackberry brandy, lavender patchouli, and vanilla orchid. Although this oil didn't create as much foam as I was expecting, it did leave my skin feeling velvety soft. Honestly, this flavor combo is one of my favorites, as I really can detect the lavender and blackberry. Perfect for travel, I'll definitely add this to my suitcase for an upcoming conference as a little "me-time" treat!

"Ghost Breath" Crystal Soy Candle

The last item in this box was this super cute 2 ounce candle. Not only is this little tin decorated uber cute for Halloween, but it also contained a handful of crystals and a gem pendant! Featuring notes of quince, mandarin, wild pear, birchwood, smoked santal, and vanilla, the scent throw of this little guy isn't huge, but it is truly lovely. Musky and savory, this candle isn't very sweet-smelling, but gives off all the fall vibes a girl could ask for!

Key Takeaways

This month's Wicked Good box featured my favorite theme yet. "Spells + Spirits" not only contained wonderfully spooky scents, but were presented in such a fun manner! This subscription is superb at creating fragrances that not only are amazing on their own but pair together well for customized scents. As you read, aromatherapy is a huge part of my anxiety management, so for me, this box is a must-have. What did you think of this month's Wicked Good box?
