Lilac Glass Bead Hoop Post Earrings — Retail Value $30 (currently on sale for $16)

This month INK+ALLOY sent me a pair of glass bead earrings that are hoop-style posts. I silent-screamed when I saw the lilac beads—this is absolutely my color of the season and I had yet to own a pair of earrings in this hue. I like that the lilac color here has a hint of grey to it to town them down a bit, as I have dozens of bright, bold, wild earrings, but sometimes want something a little more neutral for day to day wear. I'm also living for the red-orange and mint complimentary colors tucked in intermittently. Such a unique combo with the lilac.

Subtle, indeed. Very light and nice to wear. I do have two "hmm" thoughts about this pair, though. First off, they are on sale for 50% off, which is awesome for non-subscribers but maybe not an as good of a value as subscribers have come to expect. Secondly, this is a different colorway of a pair we received just a few months ago, in May. Different colorways of INK+ALLOY earrings tend to have a very different look because the shape of the beads used changes the vibe, but I am surprised given the sheer volume of earrings on their site that we were sent something so similar so soon. All other colorways of these earrings are still listed at full-price, so perhaps other subscribers will receive a full retail value pair.
The Verdict
I'm all over light purple this summer, and can't wait to carry it over into the chillier seasons with these earrings. I can see myself reaching for them often since they're more subtle than many pairs I own (including many bold INK+ALLOY pairs)!

Value Breakdown: The INK+ALLOY Insider subscription costs $25 per month + free shipping. For September, we were sent a pair of beaded hoop earrings. They cost $30 at full price, but are currently on sale for $16. If you received another colorway of these earrings that's still listed at full price, you got a 16.7% discount this month. Anyone who received the lilac pair like I did sadly didn't reap any savings!
