Beachly Lifestyle Box Fall 2023

Fall is nigh, but the Beachly Fall 2023 Lifestyle box has us hanging onto summer for as long as we can muster! This quarter's spread is a mix of items that can be used indoors, outdoors in all weather, and carried with you wherever you go—all with a lighthearted feel to 'em. This season returning subscribers have three customization choices, and I'll tell you what, I had a seriously hard time choosing because all were great. New subscribers have full customization opportunity, with the ability to select their 6 favorite items from the Fall collection. Depending on what you choose, your box could contain up to a $480 value. Wowza!

Quick thanks to Kelly for showing you all the year-round beachy goodness Beachly has served up for a couple of years. I'm taking over as your Beachly reviewer, and I'm so excited to see how these sprinklings of chill-vibe goods will make my year all the happier.

Birds of Paradise Tote by Seabird Society (Customizable) - Retail Value $60

For the past many summers I've been using a straw beach bag for all my pool, beach, and other swimming adventures, and it served me well before I had kids, then quickly became not-big-enough after having kids. I still tried to make it work, but it required additional bags for towels, and eventually the tote fell apart. This Seabird Society one came just in time—I had literally thrown my old one in the trash with no game plan for a new one—and holy wow is it the beach/pool bag of my dreams. Guys, it's huge. And being that it's cotton, it can't fall apart the way my straw one did. But the size isn't all: the print, the tassel detail, the inner pockets...it's all there for me.

I'm in love with this thing and I feel super-extra lucky to have received it through Beachly, because it's sold out in all patterns online. Very durable, big enough for ALL our things, and just so darn cute to carry around.

Other Customizable Option

The Myles Sunglasses by Raen (Customizable) - Retail Value $149.95

I typically don't trust myself with expensive sunglasses for fear that I'll scratch or lose them. For this reason, I would never invest in a pair. So when they come in a subscription, I'm all over 'em! These polarized unisex sunglasses are a nice, neutral tortoiseshell colorway, and they come in a breezy drawstring bag that's useful for wiping smudges off the lenses.

Really nice, aren't they? They're incredibly comfortable and fit my face nicely. They somehow also fit my husband's larger face and head well. I also appreciate that there's no visible logo or brand name on the outside. Oh please, oh please let the odds be in my favor with this great pair!

Other Customizable Option

Mermaid Milk Nutrient Glow Moisturizer by Earth Harbor, 2 fl oz - Retail Value $42

I've received Earth Harbor beauty products in various subscriptions over the years, and I'm always impressed by this natural, ethical, sustainable brand. This plant-derived moisturizer is a lightweight daytime face cream meant for all skin types. There's something about its faintly blue-tinged color that feels refreshing just to look at, but it also has a light, fresh scent to it and an easily absorbed consistency. A quality face cream is something I'll never pass up in a box.

Other Customizable Option

Wanderlust Wallet by Vagabond Goods - Listed Value $40

Vagabond Goods is another brand I'm familiar with through subscriptions, though I know them better for their yoga gear than something like a wallet. This one has all the bells and whistles, and a tastefully fun design to boot. It's made from vegan faux leather, with feather-shaped cutouts and a snap closure, and inside it has space for 12 cards including an ID window, cash, and two sections in its change purse pocket. My daughter positively fell in love with this wallet as a place to keep gift cards she received for her birthday, and since I already have a wallet I like, I was happy to give it to her. I think it's sweet that she connected with it and love that it's a quality item that she can continue to use even when she has the actual need for a wallet.

Hawaiian Lip Balm Trio by Hanalei - Retail Value $11.79 (found on sale for $6.99)

You can never have too many lip balms, especially when you lose them as rapidly as I do. This trio is super-soothing with its kukui oil base, and has the perk of SPF 15. My poor lips have been burnt multiple times this summer, yet I hate the feeling (and taste) of regular sunscreen on them. This vegan set has flavors that include mint, tropical citrus, and unscented. My favorite is the citrus, which is very subtle, but all three are enjoyable to use.

Beach Magnet Set by Lanai Makana - Retail Value $20

I love a fun magnet, and this set of four features treasures of the sea. I've always found sea glass to be so appealing, and they look nice on my fridge alongside the starfish and sand dollar as they hold up our photos and artwork and friends' wedding invitations. The magnets are strong and it's great that this inclusion supports a small business.

Verdict

The Fall Beachly box was an awesome first Beachly experience! I live in a landlocked state and as someone who enjoys travel to all different destinations, I admittedly don't make it to the beach every year. But I did this year and I swear my soul was healed in so many ways. Having this box come to remind me of that peace and joy so soon after is perfect. My favorite item from this quarter is the giant, sturdy, beautiful beach bag that holds all my family needs! Tied for second are the high-quality sunglasses and face cream. The rest of the items fill the box out nicely, with not a single "meh" thing included.
