This is a review for the $42.00 Crystal Variety box.

First Impressions

How cute is the crystal covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation! The crystals were carefully packaged: nestled in several feet of sturdy paper and (separately) enclosed in bubble wrap. Not surprisingly, they arrived in perfect condition.

I’m so excited by the insert included in the box: there are three QR codes that take you to the Enchanted Crystal Library as well as links to welcome letters! This is even an improvement over last month’s QR coded insert.

In the latest letter to subscribers, Enchanted Crystal introduces us to the many (exciting) changes that have taken place. Among them are QR codes on each crystal specimen! I don’t know about you, but I find the backstory of each piece very interesting and have an increased appreciation for them.

The second QR leads to a great introduction to new members. But it’s the third code that excites me most: the Crystal Library! I looked through the library last month and many specimens were missing, but they’ve upgraded the library and have promised to continue building it.

I used to do a lot of research for each crystal included in the box, but often had trouble finding information on certain specimens, anywhere on the web. I believe this is because Enchanted Crystal manages to (ethically) source specimens that are rare! Which is exciting in itself, but now that I know the backstory on each one, I’m absolutely in love with my crystals.

The Crystals

Labradorite (Raw)

I’ve seen Labradorite beads on the market for years. It’s a very popular stone but I’ll be honest, I’ve never seen the appeal. Until I unwrapped the piece in this month’s Variety box. It’s absolutely stunning! The intense flashes of color are unreal. Labradorite is known to have a chatoyant, shimmering quality, but most pieces I’ve seen lack the fire that this specimen has.

According to the new Crystal Library on Enchanted Crystal’s website:

“Metaphysically, labradorite is believed to possess powerful spiritual properties. It is considered a stone of transformation, intuition, and protection. The gemstone is associated with the third eye and crown chakras, enhancing spiritual growth. It is thought to bring insight and a deeper connection to one's higher self.”

Lepidolite Window

This is the first time I’ve seen or heard of lepidolite, and it’s an absolutely fascinating find. It’s composed of thin, flaky layers that are nearly translucent, similar to a windowpane. What I really love, though, is its unusual shape and the darker rim of the stone, which looks almost like a window frame.

According to the Crystal Library,

“Metaphysically, lepidolite is believed to have powerful calming and balancing effects. It is associated with reducing stress, anxiety, and emotional imbalances, promoting a sense of peace and relaxation. Lepidolite is also known for its ability to support emotional healing, enhance self-love, and encourage positive transformation.”

Wulfenite (Rare, Old Find)

Wulfenite is another stone that’s new to me. It’s such an odd looking specimen; it’s brown and rusty with tiny, unusual yellow crystals growing on it. According to the Crystal Library, the crystals can also be orange or red in color.

The Enchanted Crystal Library also states,

“Metaphysically, wulfenite is associated with creativity, manifestation, and personal power. It is believed to stimulate the solar plexus chakra, enhancing self-confidence, courage, and motivation. Wulfenite is often used for manifesting one's desires and goals, helping to align one's intentions with action. It is thought to inspire creativity and aid in artistic pursuits.”

Tomás Gonzaga Clear Quartz (Rare, Old Find)

This is another new find for me. I have other crystals that have a similar look, but I’d never heard of the Tomás Gonzaga variety of Clear Quartz. Thanks to Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library, I was able to find that this specimen is a Clear Quartz that shares similar properties of all Clear Quartz, but is specifically named after where it was sourced, the Tomás Gonzaga mine in Brazil. The crystals in this mine are often found in unique formations, making them highly sought after.

Enchanted Crystal writes that,

“Metaphysically, clear quartz in general is highly regarded for its amplifying and purifying properties. It is believed to enhance energy, clarity of thought, and spiritual connection. Clear quartz clusters are often used for energy cleansing, meditation, and enhancing the energies of other crystals. Pairing a clear quartz with any other crystal or mineral variety is thought to amplify all the properties together.”

Hematite

I’ve used hematite beads in the past, but I’ve never held a chunk of it before. It feels dense and heavy in your hand. Thanks to the Crystal Library, I was able to find that hematite is an Iron Oxide mineral that can form from volcanic activity or when water reacts with oxygen.

Enchanted Crystal’s Library also states that,

“Metaphysically, hematite is associated with grounding, protection, and vitality. It is believed to enhance courage, strength, and resilience, helping to dispel negativity and promote balance and stability in life. Hematite is often used for energetic grounding, connecting one to the Earth's energy and providing a sense of stability. It is also believed to stimulate concentration, focus, and logical thinking, making it useful for enhancing mental clarity and problem-solving.”

Hand-Crafted Cloth Grid

Each month, a new grid design is hand-crafted onto a sturdy cloth. I’m excited to share that this month’s deep purple design came with a QR code! From now on, Enchanted Crystal will be giving the backstory on each month’s grid.

According to their article, this month’s grid is unusual. “Devoid of most traditional shapes found in sacred geometry, this grid operates under a new set of rules. The symmetry and intense angular crossings should do well to invigorate and add energy to crystals in your collection.”

The article goes on to explain how to get the most out of this unique grid. “We recommend placing your guiding crystals on the four main circles (top, left, right, and bottom of the design) as this provides a perimeter and connection to the center. Redder-in-color varieties of crystals will lend themselves well to this, as many are believed to inspire and energize the spirit and could react well to this design's radical symmetry.”

The Verdict

This is my tenth Variety box from Enchanted Crystal and I can hardly wait for the next one!

This month’s variety box was great; every crystal was one I hadn’t received before. And every specimen was unique and beautiful. There were two rare stones in my box this month, which is always exciting. I also really love that Enchanted Crystal has created a Crystal Library where I can look up the physical and metaphysical properties of each stone! The more I know about each crystal, the more I love and appreciate it.

While I’m still not totally sold on all of the metaphysical powers attributed to crystals, I’m immensely enjoying studying them and would love to believe in their ability to aid us! The more I learn, the more I respect and appreciate them, plus my home is now much more sparkly!
