Enchanted Crystal is a monthly subscription for crystals, hand-picked and uniquely curated to offer a truly enchanted crystal experience.

My Subscription Addiction received this box free for review. (Check out the editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review for the $16.00 Crystal of the Month subscription.

First Impressions

How cute is the crystal-covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation! The crystals were carefully packaged: they were nestled in several feet of packing paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. It’s not surprising, then, that they arrived in perfect condition.

I’m so excited by the insert included in the box: there are three QR codes that take you to the Enchanted Crystal Library as well as links to welcome letters! This is even an improvement over last month’s QR coded insert.

In the latest letter to subscribers, Enchanted Crystal introduces us to the many (exciting) changes that have taken place. Among them are QR codes on each crystal specimen! I don’t know about you, but I find the backstory of each piece very interesting and have an increased appreciation for them.

The second QR leads to a great introduction to new members. But it’s the third code that excites me most: the Crystal Library! I looked through the library last month and many specimens were missing, but they’ve upgraded the library and have promised to continue building it.

I used to do a lot of research for each crystal included in the box, but often had trouble finding information on certain specimens, anywhere on the web. I believe this is because Enchanted Crystal manages to (ethically) source specimens that are rare! Which is exciting in itself, but now that I know the backstory on each one, I’m absolutely in love with my crystals.

The other insert includes some information about this month’s featured gemstone: vanadinite. I love these inserts because they’re handy, and the info that Enchanted Crystal chooses to share is always interesting. This month’s informational insert even has a QR code to the vanadinite page of their Crystal Library that also contains links to purchase more specimens if you fall in love with this stone.

The Crystals

Rainbow Fluorite & Quartz Point (Bonus Crystals)

Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more! The bonus crystals I received this month were 8 pieces of rainbow fluorite and a clear quartz point.

According to the Enchanted Crystal Library, “Metaphysically, clear quartz is highly regarded for its amplifying and purifying properties. It is believed to enhance energy, clarity of thought, and spiritual connection. Clear quartz clusters are often used for energy cleansing, meditation, and enhancing the energies of other crystals.”

The eight small round stones that I received are rainbow fluorite. Unfortunately, rainbow fluorite isn’t yet in Enchanted Crystal’s Library, but some simple research shows that it’s thought to powerfully absorb negative energy, especially from the mind and aura. It’s also believed to activate the entire chakra column and can help us become better versions of ourselves.

These lovely stones are a great start! Now, on to the main event!

Vanadinite

The featured stone this month is vanadinite. I actually received a piece in May’s Enchanted Crystal Variety box, but it’s a really cool-looking stone (and both of my specimens are unique), so I don’t mind having a second piece. My sister might talk me into putting it in her crystal collection!

Vanadinite is actually a rare member of the Apatie family and is composed of lead, vanadium, oxygen and chlorine. It typically forms as red, orange or brown hexagonal crystals. It’s these prismatic crystals that really caught my eye. They have an unusual geometric structure.

According to the new Crystal Library on Enchanted Crystal’s website, metaphysically, “Vanadinite is thought to increase motivation, drive, and determination, helping individuals overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Additionally, vanadinite is thought to have a protective quality, shielding against negativity and promoting a sense of stability and security.”

The Verdict

Whether you’re a believer in the metaphysical properties of stones and crystals, or just appreciate them for their natural beauty, they have a place in our life.

The shape of the quartz point is so stunning and the rainbow fluorite is always nice to see. I’ve loved it since I started making jewelry over 20 years ago so I’m happy to add these pieces to my collection. Then there’s the star of the show, the vanadinite. Yes, I already have a piece of it, but is there such a thing as too many crystals? At this point, I’d say no, but I’ll keep collecting and see if my answer changes. Probably not!

If you’re interested in crystals, this box is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal. I’m always excited to see what this box will contain and what beauty and knowledge lie within it!
