Each Brown Sugar Box used to include a mini-magazine that highlights the theme of the box, lists the products included, and offers interesting and inspiring articles. The mini-magazine has gone digital, and now, you can easily scan the QR code using your phone and swipe through the digitized version via your web browser.

This month’s theme is the Just Trippin’ edition, and it came just in time for summer vacation. I’m interested to see the selected products curated for such an occasion.

IZZY AND LIV Out of the Office T-Shirt - Listed Value $28

Each month, this subscription includes a signature wearable product; usually a t-shirt or a tank top. This Izzy and Liv Out of the Office T-Shirt is a win for me. I love the design, but what I really love is the material and overall fit. The material feels cooling to the touch, stretches quite a bit, and reminds me of a gym shirt, so I’m thinking it’ll be moisture-wicking. Definitely a great asset to have on hand for any summer vacation or staycation. Plus, the color is one of my faves, and I’m thrilled with it.
IZZY AND LIV Definition of a Diva Oversized Sunglasses - Listed Value $25

I’m a sucker for sunglasses. The Izzy and Liv Definition of a Diva Oversized Sunglasses are incredibly cute (and oversized, as the name suggests), so they’re definitely a bit of a statement piece, and I love it. I like the shape too. Plus, the sunglasses even come with their own case, which is a nice touch. These will definitely come in handy for any summer vacation, whether you’re traveling or having a bit of a staycation. I would have preferred if the brown tortoise shell of the two-tone color scheme were a more vibrant color, but either way, I’m a fan. Subscribers could have received one of four styles.
IZZY AND LIV Came Thru Drippin’ Umbrella - Listed Value $35

Climate change is real. Nothing has been more unpredictable than the weather lately. Since we never know if an umbrella is going to be needed or not, it’s pretty smart to keep one on hand just in case. I like to keep an umbrella in my car and one in the house so that I’m covered either way, but recently my house one broke, so I’ve been searching for that lucky umbrella to replace it. And here it is! This Izzy and Liv Came Thru Drippin’ Umbrella is just what I needed. I really love the pattern, and it folds down quite compactly, which I appreciate. It feels sturdy as well, so I think it’s going to last me for some time and should be able to withstand the repeated open and close action without falling apart. Subscribers could have received one of four prints: Moment of Peace, Nostalgic, Retro Afro Divas, or Unapologetic Swirl. I received Nostalgic (I believe).
IZZY AND LIV Been Around the World Passport Cover and Luggage Tag Set - Listed Value $18

I’m really loving the colorful design of this Izzy and Liv Been Around the World Passport Cover and Luggage Tag Set. They are truly eyecatching, and the phrases on each are also really cute. The passport reads, “My passport is my favorite accessory,” and depicts a beautiful woman in dark sunglasses and a Carmen Sandiego-esque hat. Then there’s the luggage tag, which reads, “Life is too short – take the trip.” What’s really unique about this design is how the words are so artistically intertwined with the imagery itself. Truly dynamic and definitely useful for any upcoming travel.
IZZY AND LIV The Motto Hanging Toiletry Bag - Listed Value $35

A toiletry bag is one of those things that comes in handy for any sort of travel (even simple overnight stays). What I like most about these is the waterproof interior. This Izzy and Liv The Motto Hanging Toiletry Bag is almost entirely clear, which is very nice for quickly locating your items. I also love that you can hang the bag, getting it up and out of the way while also clearing up valuable counter space. The zippered mesh pouch on the inside is useful for keeping smaller items safe, making it harder to misplace them during the hectic rush of traveling. Subscribers could have received one of two styles: a brown or black bag. I received the black bag.
Verdict
This was a great month for Brown Sugar Box! The highlight for me was the oversized sunglasses. They look great; very stylish, and it was a nice touch to include a case as well. The t-shirt material is super cooling and comfortable against the skin, which makes it a perfect summertime shirt. I had been looking for an umbrella, and now, I have it. I think the pattern is cute, and the material feels like a good quality. The toiletry bag is a travel essential, and the waterproof function is greatly appreciated. Lastly, the passport cover and luggage tag set… Another great asset to have on hand when it comes to travel, and the designs on both are also super cute. Overall, I thought this was a great box. The product curation is on point for the theme, and the value is certainly there.
