First Impressions

Even though this subscription is called BoxyCharm, it still arrived in a pink Ipsy box.

Now, on to the items!

(MALIN+GOETZ) Vitamin E Face Moisturizer, 4 fl oz – Retail Value $52

My skin is very dry, so anytime I see a moisturizer I get excited. My first thought was that this was a really big bottle that will hopefully last me a while (yay!). I'll be honest, when I first used this product, the smell really got me. It has a very strong chamomile scent that I did not enjoy. After using it for a few days, though, it really grew on me, and now I hardly notice the scent. This is the brand's bestselling moisturizer with vitamin E that strengthens your skin from environmental aggressors while being an antioxidant.

Fatty acids, chamomile, sodium hyaluronate, and vitamin b5 work to trap hydration, bind water to the skin, and enhance your skin's moisture. It is very light, drinks into my skin quickly without leaving me feeling like I need more, and it acts as a primer as well so my makeup goes on smooth. All in all I am so pleased with this moisturizer. It is leaving my dry summer skin hydrated all day, and making me look fresh!

FIRST AID BEAUTY 10% Vitamin C Brightening Serum, 1.7 fl oz - Retail Value $50

Vitamin C serums are something that I don't often use on a regular basis. I know that I should though so I was eager to try this since I love the brand. Their products work really well with sensitive skin as well, a big plus for me. This serum is meant to be used only in the am along with your other skincare products and finished with SPF. This serum can help protect against surface free radicals that can cause signs of early skin aging (yes please!). It also works to brighten and firm your skins appearance, and can help with dark spots, dullness, and uneven texture.

The thing that surprised me and what really made me fall in love with this serum is how lightweight it is. Usually serums will leave me feeling a little sticky until it absorbs, but this just drinks right into my skin. I don't think I have been using it long enough to notice any big changes with my skin, but I do feel that my skin is looking smoother overall.

LUCKY CHICK Lucky Days Lip and Cheek Multi Stick, 0.28 oz– Retail Value $20

I love a cream blush, and it just so happened that I ran out of my favorite shade recently. This multi stick is perfect to keep with me if I need a quick cheek touchup. I am at the pool a lot with my kids so I have a pretty good tan going right now, which means I'm not wearing a ton of makeup. I have been using my bb cream and then this stick on my cheeks and I'm good for the day. It gives me this amazing pink tint with a little glow to it that really brings out my tan. It is lightweight, blends easily, and doesn't give me a dry caked on look after a few hours. This is going to be a new product staple for me!

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment – Buy 2 fl oz for $78

An exfoliating scrub is something that I really appreciate getting. This is the type of product that I will use once a month, maybe slightly more, and it will truly save my skin in the winter. This intensive exfoliating treatment removes surface dullness, smooths the overall texture and pores, and leaves your skin glowing. The brand created this exfoliant with active ingredients that will give you big results with minimal irritation. Some of the ingredients include rosewood and cinnamon extracts, AHA lactic acid, BHA salicylic acid, aloe vera, honey, and more.

I used this exfoliant after a long day of being at the pool and then outside at cheerleading practice, and it is exactly what my skin needed. When you rub the product in you don't feel harsh scrubbing or irritation, it tingles a bit while you wait 2 minutes before rinsing, and then I felt some tingling after I removed it. I will say my skincare products went on so well after using this, my skin just drank everything right in. I woke up the next day with a smooth, glowing complexion. You can't beat that!

WELL PEOPLE Revitalizing Dew Snow Mushroom Eye Gel-Cream, 0.50 fl oz – Retail Value $18

Eye cream is not something that I've been using in my skincare routine. I have been noticing more wrinkles around my eyes though so I was excited to give this a try. Normally eye creams tend to irritate my eyes, but I have found with this one that it doesn't bother me if I use it at night only. This is a gel-based eye cream that is infused with aloe vera, broccoli seed oil, snow mushroom, and more. It works to soothe the delicate area around your eye, while giving your eye area a smoother and brighter appearance, and reducing lines and wrinkles. It also gives a plumping hydration which is great to use in the A.M. to help make you look more awake.

Since this is a gel, it really goes on smoothly and drinks right into my skin. I haven't been using it long enough to notice a huge difference, but I do notice that the skin around my eyes isn't nearly as dry as it has been which makes a huge difference in how my makeup goes on. I'm really happy to finally have found an eye cream that works for me and doesn't irritate my eyes!

SKIN INC SUPPLEMENT BAR My Daily Dose of Vitamins ABC+, 0.68 fl oz – Retail Value $56.25

I love when I get a fancy bottle like this! Since I have the Vitamin C serum above, I've been using 2-3 drops from this bottle at night, and I am really loving the results so far. The encapsulated formula is made to penetrate the skin and deliver targeted benefits deep within your skin. Each vitamin in this serum works to rejuvenate and refine your skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, strengthen your natural skin barrier, reduce redness, smooth, brighten, and increase collagen production.

That is some powerful stuff if you ask me! This serum is really lightweight and doesn't leave me feeling sticky. It drinks right into my skin, leaving me feeling smooth and fresh. It is working well with my moisturizer as well so I have been waking up still feeling that deep hydration.

Verdict

This BoxyCharm by Ipsy was pretty amazing! It had a nice variety of products that felt almost like a complete skincare routine. The curation was spot on and everything felt very cohesive. Each product targets smoothing and brightening my skin while helping me keep my dry skin away. I loved that everything was a full-size bottle so these products are going to last! The cheek stick was an added bonus and a huge win for my makeup bag. I really felt the value this month in the quality of products, the curation, and now my skin is feeling it too because it is hydrated and glowing!

It looks like you are reviewing the boxycharm box + beauty boost, for a total of 6 products. The first aid beauty product was offered as beauty boost this month. When you do beauty boost, it is $15.00 extra on top of your base, 5 product box.

Different reviewer, but the beginning is still all cut and paste. I don’t know why this line is necessary: “Even though this subscription is called BoxyCharm, it still arrived in a pink Ipsy box.” Yes, it is owned by Ipsy. It is going to continue to come in Ipsy packaging. I pointed this out last month when a different reviewer posted it multiple months in a row.

I didn’t get any of these items. They are overloading me with cleansers.
