First Impressions

This subscription comes packaged in a blue and white box, and when you open it you find the items thoughtfully tucked inside of sizzle and tissue paper and sealed with a sticker. You can really tell Bath Bevy pays attention to detail by how they pack their box. There is also an info sheet detailing the products included.

Bath Bevy "Beach Ready” July 2023 Review

Beach Bum Bubble Bath - Retail Value $12

I love the bubble bath from Bath Bevy. I just moved, and while most of my open and partially used products did not make the journey, I brought my bubble baths with me. My new bathroom has a slightly larger tub (though I do wish it was a tad deeper), and I am excited for the frequent bubble baths I'll be able to take with this bubbly concoction that smells like a mix of acai, coconut, tonka bean, sandalwood, and musk.

Beach Day Whipped Soap Scrub - Estimated Value $15

The whipped soap scrub formula from Bath Bevy is one that you can expect to see frequently if you subscribe to this box. Luckily, it's a well-made blend of sudsy soap scattered with sugar granules throughout. This is a whipped soap formula, and I like how it has some air to it that feels like on the skin. The Beach Day scent is a mix of tropical fruits, citrus, coconut milk, sandalwood, and musk.

Caribbean Coconut Epsom Salt - Retail Value $16

I love when Epsom salts appear in this subscription. I take Epsom salt baths frequently and try to always keep some on hand, and when I get yummy scented ones from Bath Bevy I like to mix half a bag with my plain unscented Epsom salts. I like to add a lot of salt when I soak, and doing it this way allows me to get the maximum therapeutic benefit while also enjoying scents like this coconut milk-scented salt.

Piña Colada Bath Bomb - Estimated Value $8

You can always expect bath bombs in your Bath Bevy subscription box, and as someone who loves fun colors with my self-care, I am very pleased with that. This smelled like tangy pineapple and creamy coconut milk (one of my favorite summer drinks!), and it turned my bath water a fun yellow color. If you're worried about this staining your tub, I have never had that experience with a Bath Bevy bath bomb.

Hawaiian Bath Bomb - Estimated Value $8

This fruity bath bomb reminds me of another summer drink you can typically order at the beach with notes of passion fruit, guava, coconut, pineapple, banana, and melon. While this has a more vibrant blue color to it, it still won't stain your bathtub.

Two Wild Horses Watermelon Margarita Bubble Salt - Estimated Value $10

Bubble salts are fun because it's a solid bubble bath you get to hold in your hand to add to running water (of course, you can also pour- I just tend to make a mess), and along with scented bubbles you'll get a boost of minerals from the sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, and dead sea salt. This smelled very much like a watermelon margarita, too, which was quite enjoyable.

Here it is in action.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy except the bubble salt, which was made by Two Wild Hares. Bath Bevy will typically sell these products individually on the website, and I was able to find either the exact products or the same products in different scents on the website. When I added it all up, the total retail values for the box came to $69.

Key Takeaways

I thought this month's Bath Bevy box was another great box. I was really looking forward to experiencing the box with my bigger bathtub, and Bath Bevy did not disappoint. I would say my favorite items in the box were the bubble salt and the Epsom salt, but I really enjoyed the tropical, fruity scents throughout the box and how they all paired really nicely together.  This is the subscription for someone looking to add a little extra luxury to their monthly bath routine with the added bonus of being surprised by the products curated around a fun theme. If you don't take baths, don't let that deter you from subscribing- Bath Bevy also offers a "tubless" subscription. If you're a fan of artisan bath products this is a subscription box worth checking out- in this new year you deserve a little extra self care.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
