This is a review for the $42.00 Crystal Variety box.

First Impressions

How cute is the crystal covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation! The crystals were carefully packaged: nestled in several feet of sturdy paper and (separately) enclosed in bubble wrap. Not surprisingly, they arrived in perfect condition.

I’m so excited by the insert included in the box: there’s a QR code that takes you to the Enchanted Crystal website! I’ve been begging for something like this for months so I’m thrilled to see it.

On the website, Enchanted Crystal details the (numerous) ways that they are environmentally friendly. They also have links to many crystals that they have available for sale, as well as information on them.

The Crystals

Vanadinite

Vanadinite is actually a rare member of the Apatie family and is composed of lead, vanadium, oxygen and chlorine. It typically forms as red, orange or brown hexagonal crystals. It’s these prismatic crystals that really caught my eye. They have such an unusual geometric looking structure; in the specimen I received they look almost like warts growing on the matrix stone. Really pretty warts! That’s probably not the most flattering way to describe them, but it’s what comes to mind when I look at them!

According to the new crystal library on Enchanted Crystal’s website,

“Metaphysically, Vanadinite is thought to increase motivation, drive, and determination, helping individuals overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Additionally, vanadinite is thought to have a protective quality, shielding against negativity and promoting a sense of stability and security.”

Mixed Malachite

I have a few (rich green) Malachite beads saved for a future jewelry project, but this is the first time I’ve seen Mixed Malachite. This specimen is in its raw form and is very Earthy looking. Malachite occurs where there are copper deposits and is made when copper ions combine with water and carbon dioxide.

According to Enchanted Crystal’s website,

“Metaphysically, malachite is associated with the heart chakra and has been noted to provide a wide variety of protection. It is said to absorb negative energies and pollutants, bringing balance and harmony to the environment. Malachite is also thought to enhance physical vitality, strengthen the immune system, and aid in detoxification processes.”

Septarian Palm Stone

Septarian Stone is also known as Dragon Stone and is formed in ancient sea beds. This piece has been shaped and polished into a stone meant to sit in the palm of your hand. Its smoothness and weight feel pleasant to hold. And the mix of colors within it are wonderful to admire.

According to the Enchanted Crystal library,

“Metaphysically, septarian stone is said to promote harmony, balance, and patience, helping individuals navigate through life's challenges with stability and resilience...It is often used in meditation, energy work, and crystal healing to assist in releasing negative energy, promoting emotional well-being, and fostering a sense of unity and understanding.”

Lavender Amethyst Points

These two pieces of Lavender Amethyst are really beautiful. I love the color variations that each contain; one clear to light purple, the other is deep to light purple. Both have really interesting pointed shapes that look different from every angle.

Metaphysically, these Amethyst points are very useful. According to Enchanted Crystal,

“Similar to other varieties of amethyst, these lavender points are believed to have a calming and soothing energy, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Due to their lighter lavender color, these crystals are also associated with promoting restful sleep and relieving insomnia. Additionally, amethyst lavender points are thought to stimulate the crown and third-eye chakras, facilitating spiritual insight, clarity of thought, and connection to higher realms.”

Green Lepidolite Mica

I’ve never seen Green Lepidolite Mica before; it's a really unusual, unique specimen. If I had to compare it to anything, I’d choose a piece of Baklava! It’s the same color as the Greek pastry and has the same flaky appearance.

Enchanted Crystal writes that,

“Metaphysically, green lepidolite combines the properties of lepidolite with the healing energies associated with the color green. It is thought to help release emotional blockages and to enhance spiritual growth, intuition, and connection with nature. It is often used in meditation and energy healing practices and some consider it amplified in green outdoor areas and indoor spaces with natural light and plants.”

Hand-Crafted Cloth Grid

Each month, a new grid design is hand-crafted onto a sturdy cloth. This month’s orange design reminds me of a drawing you’d see in the sketchbook of Leonardo DaVinchi. It has an almost mathematical layout.

Interesting to behold, but what exactly is a grid? After searching a bit, I found a great explanation. According to a blog from the Healing Crystals Company:

“A crystal grid involves the physical act of laying out one’s crystals in a pattern that is recognized in sacred metaphysics. This layout, combined with the user’s genuine intention, is thought to amplify the properties of the stones quite significantly, bringing greater benefit to the user or more successful outcomes.”

The Verdict

This is my ninth Variety box from Enchanted Crystal and I’m loving this subscription more and more; each month is like Christmas with a box of wrapped goodies just waiting to be revealed.

This month’s variety box was great; every crystal was one I hadn’t received before. And every specimen was unique and beautiful. I really love that Enchanted Crystal has created a crystal library where I can look up the physical and metaphysical properties of each stone! The more I know about each crystal, the more I love and appreciate it.

While I’m not totally sold on all of the metaphysical powers attributed to crystals, I enjoy studying them and would love to believe in their ability to aid us! The more I learn, the more I respect and appreciate them, plus my home is now much more sparkly!
