Enchanted Crystal is a monthly subscription for crystals, hand-picked and uniquely curated to offer a truly enchanted crystal experience.

My Subscription Addiction received this box free for review. (Check out the editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review for the $16.00 Crystal of the Month subscription.

First Impressions

How cute is the crystal covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation! The crystals were carefully packaged: they were nestled in several feet of white paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. It’s not surprising, then, that they arrived in perfect condition.

The first insert included in the box was a quick note from Adam, the owner of Enchanted Crystal, explaining that their website and Instagram account are undergoing exciting changes. I look forward to the website especially; I’m hoping for an index of the minerals they feature.

The other insert includes some information about this month’s featured gemstone: Tangerine Quartz. Besides how it was created, it implores us to embrace the magic of the mineral world where random chance creates unique beauty. I enjoy these inserts and would love to see something similar in Enchanted Crystal’s Variety Box.

The Crystals

Moss Agate & Moroccan Quartz (Bonus Crystals)

Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more!

The bonus crystals I received were 2 pieces of Moss Agate and a piece of Moroccan Quartz (very similar, if not identical to one of last month’s bonus crystals).

My previous research indicates that Moss Agate is not technically agate; it’s a form of Chalcedony with inclusions of Manganese, Chrome and/or Iron. It’s these impurities that give the illusion of moss (or other organic matter) encased within it. Metaphysically, some believe that Moss Agate grounds us to mother Earth while shielding our aura.

Moroccan Quartz is a variety of clear Quartz. According to the Healing Crystals Company, “It’s one of, if not the most, versatile stones to have occurred on Earth, and it has a myriad of properties and benefits that seem to solely serve humankind for the better.“ Clear Quartz is said to absorb and store energy until it’s ready to be released. It’s also believed to increase clairvoyance within the user while connecting them to the spirit world.

Even though one of these is a repeat for me, the very beautiful crystal and two lovely stones are a great way to start the box. Now, on to the main event!

Tangerine Quartz

This chunk of Tangerine Quartz is absolutely lovely! I love sparkly crystals and this one doesn’t disappoint. The natural facets of the crystal really draw you in. I’m happy to report that this piece of Tangerine Quartz came carefully wrapped in packing paper, then bubble wrap. It has a vibrant orange hue and patches of clear crystals. Tangerine Quartz gets its orange color from hematite and water in the cavity where the crystals grew. Overtime, the hematite created rust in the water that coated the Quartz crystals, turning it orange.

Metaphysically, Tangerine Quartz is thought to help us better understand the events that occur in our lives. It supports balance and helps us let go of trauma in our past. It’s also believed that it can help reduce the chaos in our lives by calming the chaos of the universe.

The Verdict

Whether you’re a believer in the metaphysical properties of stones and crystals, or just appreciate them for their natural beauty, they have a place in our life.

The Moroccan Quartz piece is really cool; I love the shape of it so much that I don’t mind it being a repeat; I’ll use it for another necklace. The Moss Agate is a favorite of mine and will look really cool displayed next to the Moss Agate tower I received in last month’s variety box. And the Tangerine Quartz piece is so pretty, I’m already brainstorming where to display it!

If you’re interested in crystals, this box is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal. I’m always excited to see what this box will contain and what beauty and knowledge lie within it!
