First Impressions

This subscription comes packaged in a blue and white box, and when you open it you find the items thoughtfully tucked inside of sizzle and tissue paper and sealed with a sticker. You can really tell Bath Bevy pays attention to detail by how they pack their box. There is also an info sheet detailing the products included.

Bath Bevy "Treat Yourself” May 2023 Review

Two Wild Hares Blackberry Treat Bubble Salt, 7 oz - Retail Value $10

This bubble salt is made with pure sea salt, Himalayan pink sea salt, and Dead Sea salt, and when added to running water it adds bubbles and a boost of the color purple to your bath water. It does have a fruity smell that I enjoyed, but I didn't necessarily pin it down to blackberry.

Here it is in action.

Sprinkles! Bath Bomb - Retail Value $8

This bath bomb didn't have as much color as I typically prefer, but I paired it with the bubble salt that colored the water purple and it was a perfect pairing. This smells like birthday cake (which I love), and it was a fizzy bomb that created foamy bubbles as it dissolved in the water.

Here she is fizzing away.

Cotton Candy Whipped Soap Scrub - Retail Value $15

I am a big, big fan of cotton candy. I enjoy eating it and I enjoy smelling it and I love when things are inspired by it because the colors are pretty. This held true for this whipped soap scrub- it smelled great (though definitely sweet, so it may not be for everyone), and it had the standard Bath Bevy whipped soap scrub formula that is fluffy with gentle sugar granules scattered throughout.

Strawberry Milkshake Cupcake Bath Bomb - Retail Value $10

Sticking with the gourmand treat-smelling bath items we have this strawberry milkshake cupcake bath bomb. These are fun because the frosting part is a bubble bar you crumble under running water, and the cake part is a bath bomb you add to give your bath some fun color.  These bath bombs give you the best of both options in the bathing world, and I always enjoy using them when they appear in this subscription box.

Green Tea Bath Bomb - Retail Value $8

The last bath bomb in the box is a more mellow-scented green tea bath bomb. I liked how this one turned my bath water a pretty teal green color, and the smell was pleasant and relaxing.

Here it is in action. The bath tub looks different because I actually took it on vacation with me when I met up with my mom for Mother's Day, and it made for a nice treat.

Just Peachy Bath and Body Oil - Retail Value $16

I have really been enjoying peach things lately (peach candy, the Caribbean peach turkey burgers Whole Foods was sampling the other day...) so I was primed and ready to love this bath and body oil. It has a mix of nine different oils, vitamin E, and aloe and reminds me of the juicy peach treats I've been enjoying so much. I like that I can use this directly on my body for skin that's as soft as velvet, or I can pour a bit into my bath and enjoy it that way.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy except the bubble salt, which was made by Two Wild Hares. Bath Bevy will typically sell these products individually on the website, and I was able to find everything except on the website- the total retail values for the box add up to $67.

Key Takeaways

I thought this month's Bath Bevy box was fabulous. I am a big fan of treating myself so I knew the this theme would be a good match for me, and the fact that it contained three bath bombs confirmed my suspicious. If you don't take baths, don't let that deter you from subscribing- Bath Bevy also offers a "tubless" subscription. If you're a fan of artisan bath products this is a subscription box worth checking out- in this new year you deserve a little extra self care.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
