What's Inside The Bag
So Susan Limited-Edition Makeup Bag, March 2023 - Retail Value $12
This bag has a calming floral design for March, setting a chill tone for spring. It is bright, but it definitely works for a winter and spring theme. I really like the size of this bag; it can hold all of your touch-up products for the on-the-go, and it is effortless to wipe clean.
Jelly Pong Pong Supernova Dual Eyeshadow in Gravity - Retail Value $18.00
Jelly Pong Pong makes decent powder eyeshadows, although I prefer their cream-to-powder formula. Cooler shades like silver are tough for me to pull off, but the purple shade is a really pretty all-over-the-lid shade. Each shade has a fair amount of shimmer and swatches nicely, but I am still not sold on this duo.
Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Lip Butter in Seashells - Retail Value $18.95
If you love wearing bold hues that are easy to apply and take off at night, this may be your new go-to. I can't tell you how comfortable this vibrant pink is, especially considering it is so pigmented. Just like the name says, this lippie goes on like buttah'. As this color wears, a gorgeous pink hue remains behind, fading gracefully until reapplication.
So Susan Cosmetics Stratosphere Luminizing Palette - Retail Value $45.00
There's nothing I enjoy more than a good old cream highlight. This product melts into the skin immediately creating a nice sheen that can be worn subtly or built up. The range of colors should work for a variety of skin colors, and you can use this on your face or eyes, although the finish did not last long on my eyelids.
Trifle Cosmetics Lip Syrup in Lolly - Retail Value $12.00
I have to say, I was shook by this crazy high-shine lip stain. The pigmentation is out of this world; it acts like a liquid lipstick, but the finish is sleek, and dare I say that this lipstick is also extremely comfortable on the lips. The name "Lip Syrup" is misleading, because there is nothing sticky about this formula; it glides right onto your lips, and one swipe gives you full coverage. Right now, Trifle Cosmetics only has two colors available in this finish, but if they add more, I will absolutely be on the hunt for my new favorite pinky-neutral lipstick. Fingers crossed!
Swatched above: Trifle Cosmetics Lip Syrup, Jelly Pong Pong Lip Butter, Jelly Pong Pong Eyeshadow Duo, So Susan Luminizing Quad
Oh hi! It's me. I am wearing the Trifle Cosmetics Lip Syrup in Lolly, and wow! I was not expecting such full coverage AND shine! It is a gorgeous color. I am also wearing the luminizing palette on my cheeks and eyelids, but this photo isn't the best representation.
This month's So Susan Color Curate was fun and full of color. I love each product individually, but I did not feel like the cool-toned eyeshadow duo from Jelly Pong Pong paired well with either lip color. Other than that, I think this month's products were great! This month's bag's retail value comes to $105.95; you're getting four products for $20.95, a pretty fantastic deal.
