Hey there, jewelry lovers! Since the March review is coming in fast and furious this month, I wish that meant I could return what I ordered now to get something new. Maybe I'll give it a shot and see how they react.

I ordered the pearl set for the National Press Foundation awards and then didn't end up wearing them because I noticed earrings Kate Middleton wore to the BAFTAs and was able to quickly scoop them up online instead.

Rocksbox is a jewelry styling and rental service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy whatever they love at a discounted price. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your ever-growing wishlist. Members can keep and wear the three pieces they receive for as long as they want, or they can switch out sets whenever they'd like. Rocksbox also offers a monthly credit so you can buy the pieces for less.

Concerned about cleanliness? Each piece is sterilized with alcohol jewelry cleaner using medical grade products and handled with jewelry experts wearing gloves.

This is a review of the monthly plan for $21, which includes shipping to the US only.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Just like other subscription boxes, when I signed up for Rocksbox I had to set up a style profile that asked me questions like my metal preference, and which necklace, earring, bracelet, and ring styles I liked the most.

Let's check out this month's delivery!

What I Received

Lele Sadoughi Petite Jelly Bean Hoops - Retail Value $145, Member Price $139

About this item: Crafted in 14k gold-plated brass adorned with a string of gleaming asymmetric acrylic pearls, these medium weight hoops are where preppy meets trendy. They are about 1.25" in diameter and natural-hued faux stones.

Condition: Like new.

Review: Despite still trending, I'm not exactly a pearl girl, but they are really pretty. As part of a set, I think these earrings are best for a formal affair, although they could go with a preppy Lilly Pulitzer dress too.

Lele Sadoughi Pearl Jelly Bean Bracelet - Retail Price $85, Member Price $81

About this item: This lightweight, elasticized bracelet adorned with asymmetric faux pearls is easy to slip on and take off. It measures at about 5mm in diameter and stretches out to 10mm. It may pinch arm hair, but I have no idea since I got rid of mine.

Condition: New with tags.

Review: Part of a set, this faux pearl bracelet completes a dressy look for a fancy affair, whether it's a wedding, prom or a gala. It feels a little flimsy and like it may snap and break at any moment so it's not worth $85, but it's pretty and sweet anyway.

Lele Sadoughi Crystal Double Drop Earrings - Retail Value $125, Member Price $120

About this item: Lele Sadoughi's Crystal Double Drop Earrings s are 14k-gold-plated drop dangle earrings featuring one large crystal and one small crystal. They measure at 1/2" by 1"long and are a bit on the lighter side.

Condition: Like new.

Review: They're very pretty and dressy but might be too much a girl who sits around in her apartment, staring at her computer screen all day.

The Verdict

I stuck with designers I know again this time and due to the dressiness, I didn't get much wear out of anything. I know I said it last month, but for April I will order more versatile pieces.

Value Breakdown: Rocksbox membership costs $21 per month. At retail, the three pieces would cost me $340. With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing including the buy-all-three-items $10 discount, the $10 Forever Credit, the $21 of Shine Credit (the membership fee for the month, which goes towards your purchases), and my Rose Gold Rewards discount of $17, the total price for all three items goes down to $282.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and packed based on the customer's tastes and what's available at the time. You can, however, help guide the Rocksbox stylists and add your favorite pieces to your wishlist!

If shopping were an Olympic sport, I’d be a gold medalist. And while my bank account often feels the crunch, I just can’t stop buying secondhand clothing and accessories, under-the-radar designer goods, stuffed animal unicorns (I have about 75), and toys for my pet bunny rabbit. After 20 years of city slicking in NYC and DC, I now have a car and love to tour the Virginia countryside looking for vintage shops, undiscovered wineries and breweries, historic sites, and Thai restaurants—I’m addicted to Thai food. I never leave home without a spare phone charger because I love horror movies and therefore have an irrational fear of being stranded somewhere with a dead battery.
