INK+ALLOY is a female-founded accessory brand with a mission to empower women through every day, modern pieces that make a bold statement. Their accessories are all designed in Atlanta, and made both in Atlanta and by artisans in India. Their seed bead earrings are hand-woven and their Insider Club sends one surprise pair of earrings per month for $20/month. That's 20-30% savings + free shipping!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Opening The Box

The monthly earrings (sometimes accompanied by a surprise extra) always come in this small white box, and customized with your name handwritten on the front. Everything is simply packaged and introduced by a brief intro card.

Here's What's Inside

Info Card

This month's theme is brass earrings, a huge selection of which INK+ALLOY carries. I had no idea—I'd been focused on their beaded earrings! The introductory card says let's finish the year strong with some sassy brass beauties, and it offers a 15% discount code for additional purchases made outside the subscription.

Brass Cross Dangle Earrings — Estimated Retail Value $35

The earrings I received are these super lightweight brass crosses. While the cross design is not groundbreaking-ly original, I don't own anything like them in my vast (and growing) earring collection. It's nice to have something fresh added into the mix! They feel southwestern to me, but only a tasteful nod in that direction. Like all of INK+ALLOY's earrings, these were handmade by artisans. If I had one gripe about these earrings it would be that their outline is so fine it sort of disappears. But there are days that call for a subtler pair, so it works!

I couldn't find this exact pair on their site, but here's a pair of solid cross posts that are also great.

C Purple Monogram Seed Bead Key Ring — Retail Value $15

When I saw this bonus item in my box this month, I thought, "there's no way this is my initial, it must be a coincidental design." But it turns out, it is intended to be a C! How fun. Their site currently has these seed bead monogram key rings in 12 letters, and I'd be curious to hear from other subscribers whether their letter was sent, or if not, what they received. They also carry key ring bangles, so maybe that's what some folks were sent. I use a plain old carabiner to hold my car key and house keys together, and I'm not much of a big keychain person. But I love this monogrammed keychain so I might find somewhere to hang it in my house. Or, if that doesn't work out, I know lots of others with "C" names that I could gift this to!

Verdict

The INK+ALLOY Insider Club did indeed finish strong this year. This is my 8th month receiving this subscription and I've loved the variety they've sent. I was happy with this month's cross danglies, and pleasantly surprised by the monogram key ring. I can't wait to see what next year holds!

Value - Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $20 per month + free shipping.

Value Breakdown: The INK+ALLOY Insider subscription costs $20 per month + free shipping. For December, I was sent a pair of brass earrings that I estimated to cost $35 based on similar styles on their site. They also sent a $15 seed bead monogram key ring. That adds up to $50, which is a higher value than most months from this subscription, but feels appropriate for the holiday season. INK+ALLOY's products feel fairly priced to me, and $20 for two handmade pieces feels like an awesome deal to me.

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.

I received my box today…received the brass earrings but no second piece. Was excited to potentially get a “J” key ring…what a bummer!

Oh no! That’s so disappointing! Something that might be worth checking in with their customer service team about. <3
