Enchanted Crystal is a monthly subscription for crystals, hand-picked and uniquely curated to offer a truly enchanted crystal experience.

My Subscription Addiction received this box free for review. (Check out the editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review for the $16.00 Crystal of the Month subscription.

First Impressions

How cute is the crystal covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation! The crystals were carefully packaged: they were nestled in several feet of white paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. It’s not surprising, then, that they arrived in perfect condition.

The first insert included in the box is a quick note on the loveliness of their headquarters (in the Pacific Northwest) and a request for subscribers to share a photo of their world. I think that it’s really special that Enchanted Crystal is reaching out to their subscribers and engaging with them; though this is only my second month with them, I’m feeling a sense of community. I just love that!

The other insert includes everything you need to know to truly appreciate this month’s crystal. Enchanted Crystal has chosen some really interesting facts about Galena in Quartz; I love being able to file away information like this; I know that one day it will come in handy during a family game of Jeopardy!

The Crystals

Mixed Tumbled Stones (Bonus Crystals)

Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more! The pretties I received are 5 different tumbled stones.

Unfortunately these stones don't come labeled, so I can only guess what each is. But they’re really neat; smooth and shiny. Though I’m not sure what they are, I really love them, because they’re a trip down memory lane for me. When I was a kid, I had a rock tumbler and I was fascinated with it. It was fun to toss rough, unattractive rocks into a little mixer and be able to pull out beautiful stones. If you’ve ever had one, you’ll know that nothing teaches you patience like waiting for a rock tumbler!

Such a nice start! Now, on to the main event!

Galena in Quartz

November’s crystal is Galena In Quartz. I received a (smaller) piece of it in last month’s Enchanted Crystal variety box. But I thought it was such a neat specimen that I don’t mind adding a second to my collection. Especially since the piece in this box is striking. The Galena (the dark mineral) has a beautiful shine to it that I struggled to capture in photographs. It feels very heavy/dense and reminds me of Iron Pyrite (also known as “fool’s gold”) except that it’s silvery rather than golden. While the quartz (the white crystal) is very sparkly and provides an interesting contrast to the dark Galena.

According to the fact sheet included with the sample, Galena is the main component of lead, and can even be smelled in a campfire (please don’t try this at home)! Researching further, I found that it’s often mined in the United States and is the namesake of cities in Illinois and Kansas.

This is only my second month with Enchanted Crystal, so I’m new to the mystical aspect. I did some searching online and found that Galena is thought to be a strong grounding stone that works on the root chakra. It also recharges your “inner battery” and helps you achieve challenging tasks.

The Verdict

Now that I’ve started my collection with Enchanted Crystal, I’m so excited to continue collecting. I even have a crystal display shelf on my Christmas wish list!

If you’re interested in crystals, this is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal.
