Cat Lady Box is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $34.99 per month Cat Lady Box has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., while the $39.99 per month Crazy Cat Lady Box contains everything from the Cat Lady Box plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the Crazy Cat Lady Box.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

As soon as the box arrives, you know your cat-loving heart is in for a good time. Everything arrives in a brown cardboard box with a black cat silhouette on it. Once you open it up, you can expect to find anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy Cat Lady box, you'll also get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

This box does come with an info sheet, and each month they feature custom artwork. This month's artist was Natsa.

The Breakdown – What’s Inside The October Crazy Cat Lady Box

First, let's meet the cat that will be helping me to review this box. If you've been reading my MSA reviews for a while, you may remember my old cat, Duchess. Duchess is no longer here with me, and after a few months, I felt ready to get another cat companion. Meet Sir Goose! I adopted him when he was one month and twenty-two days old, and he was 2.2 pounds. Now he is a year old and he loves toys—I have yet to find a toy he won't play with.

Goose just recently had his annual visit with the vet, and we found out how much he weighs. Goose weighs thirteen pounds- I knew he was a big boy, but I can't believe I got him when he was 2.2 pounds and now he's 13!

Home is Where the Cat is Tee - Retail Value $22.99

I love the tee shirts that this subscription box sends- they are cut longer in the torso, and as someone with a long torso and a thicker midsection, I just feel a lot more comfortable wearing shirts like these. So wear them I do- my cat lady shirts get a lot of use, and honestly the only reason I have a variety of non-black shirts that get worn frequently is because fun colors appear monthly in this subscription. I really like the "home is where the cat is" sentiment of this tee- as long as I have my fiancé and Goose, I can be just about anywhere and I'm content.

Chef Kitties Dish Towel - Retail Value $11.99

I am actually terrible at remembering to use dish towels and use paper towels for just about everything- does anyone know a trick for keeping them from falling off when you hang them on the oven door? This one is so cute that I am going to give it another shot, though- look at the cute little cat faces! Some of them even have chef hats! I'm happy there's an orange cat included in the mix, and I think this would look adorable if you set a hot dish on it to protect your countertops, too.

Black Cat Vase - Retail Value $21.99

Flowers don't really come into my apartment (Duchess would always eat them, so I kind of figure Goose would try to too), but this vase is so cute I want to go get a small bouquet. I like the gold tipped ears of this otherwise black vase- I think it really adds an elegant touch to the beautiful, simple vase.

Cat Chip Clips - Retail Value $9.99

I swear at least every other month I am talking about how practical an item is that Cat Lady Box sends? I have been needing more chip clips but hadn't gotten around to getting some, and literally the day this box was delivered one of my clips that was being used actually broke and had to be tossed. Talk about excellent timing- and I like the fun colors of these functional clips.

Purrfect Pumpkin Catnip Toy - Retail Value $3.99

If a cat toy has a feather, Goose is going to like it- this held true this month, where Goose dove into the box and pulled this toy out before I could even rip the tissue paper.

How is he so cute? I can't stand it.

The feather on this plaid pumpkin is not long for this world, but Cat Lady Box Toys actually do a good job of standing up to wear, play, and tear.

Live Laugh Loaf "Sign" Toy - Retail Value $4.99

I don't really understand this toy, but I do know that Goose makes a might handsome cat loaf.

We don't live laugh love in this household, we live laugh loaf.

Key Takeaways

Oh, I love my Cat Lady Box Subscription- and I thought the Happy Home theme of this November box was absolutely lovely. Everything for the human is practical while still being useful, pretty, fun, or all three, and Goose enjoyed playing with both of his toys. I d0 feel like I received a personal value of more than the subscription box cost of $39.99 here, but I think that personal value feeling is going to depend on how useful you find the items. If you have cats and/or like cat-themed things, I recommend checking this subscription box out. If you're looking for fun cat-themed items you can enjoy around your home and share with your feline friend, you're going to see a lot more value in this box than someone who is going strictly off of listed values (or who desires brand name products in a box).

Other Things You Should Know

Where does the Cat Lady Box ship to? The US (free to the lower 48, an additional fee for Alaska or Hawaii), the UK, and Canada.

Do I have to have a cat to enjoy this subscription? Nope! If you love cats but don't have one of your own, that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the fun- you can subscribe to the Cat Lady Box, which will come with the same products as the Crazy Cat Lady Box sans the cat toys.

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, sign up before the end of November to receive the December box.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

Forgot to say, go to the CLB website and get on their mailing list. This time of year, sometimes they run daily specials in their shop, and sometimes even a free shipping coupon. Their stuff makes awesome gifts to those of us who appreciate this superior species.

Honk if you can spot a white whisker on a white tile floor at ten paces.

Jessica, I was going to give a suggestion on keeping the towel on the oven door handle…and the box provided what I was going to advise…the clips!! I simply use a clothespin on my towel to hold it in place on the handle. You can use one of the cute cat clips!
Great box, as always from Cat Lady.

Great tip about the clips holding a towel! I’ve never thought of that either. Fortunately, my home has a towel hanger in the kitchen on the side of one of the lower cabinets. It still falls sometimes though (I agree with DEA that a furry resident may be pulling it down!).

I also needed new chip clips and was so happy to get these. CLB is always fulfilling my practical needs! So happy these have a magnet, too — purrfect for holding grocery lists and other reminders on the fridge.

The vase is super pretty and feels heavy/nice. I think it’s darling without any flowers.

Alice,
Thanks for sharing that suggestion! That’s never to me; I’ll give it a try 🙂

The main reason that dish towels end up on the floor is because the resident cat pulls them down. Don’t ask me how I know.

I *need* that vase. So adorable. It will stay empty (too many cats in the house), but this way the ears will be visible.
