First Impressions

I’m definitely a fan of fall and all the cozy vibes it has to offer up, so I was passionately awaiting this box to arrive on my doorstep. This quarter’s theme has been perfectly titled ‘Vampurr,’ and I couldn’t love it any more than I already do. Now, I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait to see what themed items have been specially curated for the spooky season, so let’s keep it pushing.

What's Inside the Fall 2022 "Vampurr" Pusheen Box

PUSHEEN BOX Vampurr Vinyl Figure

What a perfect way to kick off this box! A main staple of the Pusheen box is their adorable vinyl figures, and this one is seriously so cute. Here we have Pusheen dressed up as a not-so-scary vampire cat, complete with fangs and a cape, and holding a pink frosted donut (yum). I absolutely love this. As always, the craftsmanship of this piece is very nice; it feels sturdy, durable, and well-made. If you’re a collector, you will appreciate this. Normally, I pass along any themed figures to a younger cousin of mine, but this one is way too cute to give up. After Halloween is over, I’ll be storing this with my other seasonal decor, and I can assure you, it’ll make an appearance every year.

PUSHEEN BOX Vampurr Goblet

Along with our vinyl figure, subscribers usually receive a complimenting Pusheen plush, but this quarter, we received a goblet. How perfectly fitting! It matches the Vampurr figurine, and I appreciate the thought put into the design. The goblet is actually made of glass, which I wasn’t expecting, and it feels like a good quality piece. I really like how the glass has a purple tint to it, and the addition of the Vampurr Pusheen image and the droplets of oozing purple liquid definitely up the cute but spooky factor. The only caveat is that the goblet is hand wash only, and it’s not meant to go into the microwave. Other than that, it can withstand temperatures from 32° to 158°, which is impressive, and also makes the piece quite versatile and functional. You can bet I’ll be utilizing this classy goblet like a fancy lady for some of my spook-tacular adult beverage creations.

PUSHEEN BOX Trinket Tray

I love this trinket tray. It’s a bit on the small side, so you can’t fit much in there except for maybe a few pieces of jewelry and a spare Advil, or anything else small that you don’t want to roll away. Although I wish it were just a touch larger, I still think it’s great. The quality is on point; it feels like a very durable, strong plastic that likely wouldn’t break if I were to drop it accidentally, so bonus points for that since I can be a wee bit clumsy at times, lol. Inside the tray is a little image of Pusheen, this time in the form of an adorable bat (a batcat, I suppose?). The image enhances the overall shape of the trinket tray, which follows the trend, also molded into the shape of a bat. Super cute and functional; a great inclusion to this box, and something that will likely stay out on my nightstand all year long.

PUSHEEN BOX Bookmark

This is the shortest bookmark I’ve ever seen. Then again, I haven’t seen many bookmarks lately…every facet of our lives has gone digital in some form or another by now, which I personally enjoy. But there are still many people out there who enjoy reading books in their hard copy form, and if you are one of those people, then all the more power to you. I will be passing this along to my best bookworm friend, also a Pusheen fan, who loves reading in all forms and is sure to get some good use out of this bookmark. In terms of design, the bookmark is really cute. The Vampurr version of Pusheen sits at the top, dressed up in its cape, accompanied by other mini bats and twinkling stars. All this together gives the imagery of Pusheen flying through the eerie night sky with his other bat friends in tow.

PUSHEEN BOX Journal

Despite everything going digital, the one thing I do still enjoy every now and then is writing in a notebook. There’s something relaxing and almost satisfying about the action of putting a pen to paper, creating something from nothing. I’ll be keeping this journal for me; not for use so much as a journal but more as a physical archive for me to jot down spurts of inspiration, whether it be new story ideas, new characters, or a piece of dialogue I want to use in a future project. The overall construction of the journal itself feels like good quality. I noticed that the spine does creak a bit when you open and close it, but nevertheless, the binding feels solid enough to withstand general wear and tear. On the front of the journal, we have the cute Vampurr Pusheen imagery, emblazoned in silver amid the pretty magenta shade. Each page is detailed with a mini bat outline on the upper corner and a rose outline on the bottom corner. Plus, it comes with a built-in bookmark, which is very helpful.

PUSHEEN BOX Planner Sticker Sheets

Stickers for Pusheen Box Fal 2022

These stickers are totally cute and perfectly suited to the theme and spooky season. Now, as a grown woman, do I have much use for stickers? Absolutely not. So, while cute, I’ll likely end up passing these along to a child in my life who will have a blast sticking these all over notebooks, folders, laptop cases, etc. I appreciate the variety of the designs, ranging from donuts with different colored frosting, to a crescent moon, to Pusheen in all the various forms of dress-up this box has inspired.

PUSHEEN BOX Treat Tote

The first thing I noticed about this tote is that it’s a generous size, and the pattern is just as adorable as the rest of the items in this box. We have Pusheen in three forms: Pusheen Vampurr holding a pink donut (like our vinyl figure) and two versions of the Pusheen bat. I like the material of this tote; it’s a waterproof type of material that’s easy to wipe clean. Now, a treat bag? More like a festive reusable grocery bag for me, personally. I may be a bit too old for trick-or-treating, but I’m always happy to have another reusable bag. Not only is this one cute and functional but also it’s great for Mother Earth.

PUSHEEN BOX Vampurr Cape

And finally, the Vampurr cape! This is a super cute addition to this quarter’s box. The cape itself is a one size fits all type of deal. It almost reminds me of a Snuggie, just without the sleeves. I’m probably a little bit more excited about this than I should be as a grown adult, lol. It’s perfect for those chilly winter days when I want to be snuggled up in my blanket while also having free use of my hands. The design is adorable, with the little Pusheen Vampurr face stitched into the hood of the cape. I also really appreciate that there is a satin type lining on the interior of the hood so that my hair doesn’t get messed up.

My Verdict

What an awesome Pusheen Box! The highlight for me was the Pusheen Vampurr themed cape; not only cute but also functional and super cozy for the cooler months. I really like the trinket tray, and the fact that it’s in the shape of a bat makes it extra fun. The goblet has a really cool design, and I appreciate that it’s not only decorative but also functional. I’m happy to have the treat tote, which I’ll be using as a reusable grocery bag. It’s seriously adorable, and I love the waterproof texture it has. I’m a fan of notebooks in general, so the journal was another highlight for me. The vinyl figure could not be cuter, and although it’s strictly decorative, I like it enough to keep it with my Halloween decor. Lastly, the bookmark and the stickers…both are functional as well as adorable, but they will get much more use once I pass them along to some other Pusheen lovers in my life. Overall, I thought this was a great quarter for this subscription. Every single item was perfectly on theme for the spooky season, and I love the detailed designs of every piece.

I contacted them about using the Black Friday discount on an annual subscription, and they actually refunded me the difference, even though my annual sub had started with this fall box! I’ve never encountered such extraordinary customer service!
It might work for other culturefly subs, too. Check it out!

“do I have any use for stickers as a grown woman?” Well… guess I’m not a woman or not grown or something, thanks

I’ve been living in the cape. I’m also using the tote every day for work stuff.

The goblet is nice. It’s finally big enough for us grownups.

I also love blank books of all types.

Very cute box this quarter! I said never again after the low quality of this year’s spring box, but that vinyl figure sure is tempting! Also, I wouldn’t be a Pusheen fan if I didn’t gently correct you … Pusheen is a lady cat, just FYI! 🙂

It would be nice to see a photo of the cape actually on. These photos don’t show anything relevant (like, what does it look like on, what’s the shape, size. etc)

Or even just laid out fully world be nice. I can’t picture it in my mind from the description.

I agree – this is a super cute box! And also agree it would have been so helpful to see the cape and bag being worn to gauge appearance and size better.

Agree and a picture of the trinket tray with things in it for reference of size.

The trinket tray is about 6 inches from wingtip to wingtip.

You could throw smaller jewelry pieces in it or coins or things like that.
