Bath Bevy is a subscription box for those who love self-care. Each month subscribers will receive a thoughtfully curated box featuring bath bombs, bath salts, and other bath products from various indie brands. If you aren't a fan of baths, Bath Bevy even has a Tubless subscription option, where you'll receive handmade bath and body goodness without a single item that requires running a bath. When you subscribe to Bath Bevy, you can expect to bathe in luxury no matter if you're standing in a shower or sitting in a tub.

This is a review of the Tubless Bath Bevy box, which will not send bath bombs, bubble bars, or any other bathing product you need a bath tub for.

First Impressions

This subscription comes packaged in a blue and white box, and when you open it you find the items thoughtfully tucked inside of sizzle and tissue paper and sealed with a sticker. You can really tell Bath Bevy pays attention to detail by how they pack their box. There is also an info sheet detailing the products included.

Goose was really interested in what came in this month's box.

Bath Bevy "Trick or Treat” Tubless October 2022 Review

Wake The Dead Shower Steamers, 2 ct - Retail Value $12

These "Wake the Dead" shower steamers are peppermint-scented, and they are delightfully zingy. I love mint in all forms (mint tea, mint essential oil, actual mints...), and I need something with a little zing to help me actually wake up in the mornings, and these shower steamers absolutely deliver. I wish I could use one of these every time I took a shower- and they last a while on my shower floor, too.

Spooked Cider Whipped Soap Scrub - Retail Value $15

Regardless of if you subscribe to the standard Bath Bevy box or the tubless version, I think you can count on getting a whipped soap scrub in every box. If you've never tried a whipped soap or whipped soap scrub, you're missing out- I find it makes sudsing up a lot more fun than holding a bar of soap because of the whipped texture, and while there is a mix of sugar in the formula, the "scrubby" part of the experience is gentle and not too abrasive. My boss's two-year-old actually loves to use these to play with when he takes a bath, which means my boss loves them because she can get her two-year-old to take a bath! "Spooked Cider" smelled a lot like regular apple cider to my nose, and the scent was mild and not overpowering.

Trick or Treat Body Lotion - Retail Value $12

"Trick or Treat" has scent notes of blood orange, cedar, and Anjou pear. I love citrus smells and I also love woodsy smells, so this was a really nice scent combo for me personally. You would think the trick or treat name would smell more candy-sweet, but this is definitely a lotion scented for adults. The body lotion is formulated with aloe and sunflower seed oil, and I like that it left my skin feeling soft but absorbed quickly so I could move on (for all of the skincare I do, applying body lotion is the first self-care step I will cut from my routine... if I even choose to do it). I appreciate that this was packaged in a pump-top bottle- I much prefer it over sticking my hands in a jar.

Midnight Woods Body Wash - Retail Value $12

Right off the bat I really loved the vibrant turquoise color of this body wash- the name "Midnight Woods" may make you think dark and gloomy, but this fun color looks a lot more at home in my shower than a dark-colored body wash would have. I think this is my favorite scented product in the box- it's a blend of incense, amber, sweet fig leaves, calming cedarwood, patchouli, and bergamot. It has a deep earthiness to it that's balanced by the fig and bergamot, and it leaves my skin soft, and not feeling like it was just stripped of every bit of moisture my body had ever naturally produced.

Bat Attitude Soap Bar - Retail Value $9

I am much more of a body wash or whipped soap kind of gal than I am a bar soap kind of person, but I do appreciate how cute this one is- if I had a guest bathroom this would definitely be the soap I placed out for guests to use. "Bat Attitude" is a scent blend of bergamot, camellias, lime, lily, jasmine, sandalwood, vetiver, and rose, and I love the lime and rose elements in this.

Valley Candles Poisoned Apple Tea Light Candles with Purple Tea Light Candle Holder - Estimated Value $11.99 ($5.99 for the tea lights 4 pack, and $6 for the candle holder. Linked to same product from brand in a different color + scent)

It's a small thing, but I really appreciate that we received a tea light candle holder in addition to the tea lights, because I don't already own one. The candles are made with 100% soy wax, and put off a soft sweet scent that added a nice ambiance when I burned them in the candle holder while taking a bath. I love that they included a cute small box of matches too- I was able to light this right away!

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy. All of the prices add up to $72, which is more than the cost of the box plus shipping.

Key Takeaways

This was my second time trying Bath Bevy's tubless subscription box, and it did not disappoint! I was very happy with the performance of my minty shower steamers, and appreciate the thoughtfulness of including the matches and candle holder with the tea light candles. Everything in the box smelled great, too. Compared to their traditional box, the only product between the two that was the same was the whipped soap scrub- and even then, each box came with a different scent. If you love using artisan bath products but taking baths isn't your thing, I do recommend checking out the Bath Bevy tubless subscription.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

Jessica, between this box, the regular Bath Bevy box and the new Lush Kitchen box, which one do you like most? I really only need one bath box per month ( and don’t count FCS as it’s tiny samples now, mostly).

The regular Bath Bevy box for Oct, was mostly bath bomb after bath bomb and that’s pretty boring to me. Plus, they billed and shipped 2 identical boxes I don’t need and didn’t order.
