I definitely wasn't expecting such a fantastic design this month! I love French bulldogs so much, and the skateboards just add to their intrigue and mystique. The size is always right, and these bags really hold up.
Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics The Super Matte Lipstick in Power Trip - Retail Value $22.00

This bright coral is one I wouldn't usually reach for, but it is a fun pop of color. Even though this is a matte lipstick, the texture is creamy, and it feels hydrating on the lips. I was surprised at how easily it applied. It has a fantastically fruity smell that is very pleasant, too.

This is a little dark for me to use as a highlight, but it made a beautiful eyeshadow. I loved how easily it applied with a brush, and it actually stayed on my lids without wiping off like some powder cream products tend to do. The color is luminous, but it doesn't have a sparkle to it; it's more of a frosty, shimmery shade.
Trifle Cosmetics Honeycomb Palette - Retail Value $22.00

As far as palettes go, this more muted, satin-finish array really isn't my cup of tea, but once again, I am pleasantly surprised. I used the dark gold shade, which had a frosty finish but a decent amount of pigment, and a few other shades that made this palette work for me (pics of my eye look below). The palette smells sweet and the texture is cream-to-powder, which is best applied with a fingertip or densely packed eyeshadow brush.

I love liquid highlighting products so much. They are quick and easy to work with, and products like this seem to last a lifetime... that is, if you get a fresh batch. Unfortunately, this product was dried up and shriveled inside its tube.
I love the color of this product! I plan on contacting So Susan subscription services to see if I can get a replacement. What you see above is all I could squeeze out of the tiny tube, so I didn't have any to use with my look down below.

I am wearing all of the products from this month's bag in this photo, except for the liquid highlight from So Susan Cosmetics. I was shocked at the pigmentation of the Trifle Cosmetics eyeshadows; usually, when there are several light frosty shades they tend to look the same, but the pigmentation was pretty great and easy to work with. Of course, the pop of pink on the lips was the final touch this look needed. I added a clear lip treatment on top and bam! The color and shine are a match made in heaven.
Verdict
This month's So Susan Color Curate was definitely impressive. I wasn't expecting much out of the Trifle Cosmetics palette, but never judge a palette before swatching! The luminizer worked great as an eyeshadow, and I was really happy with the Jelly Pong Pong lippie which was matte, but an extremely comfortable matte. This sub included 5 full-sized products (including this month's bag), and I think the retail value of $103 is fantastic for a $20.95 subscription!
