I’m a huge fan of body creams and this is one of my favorites. It’s super thick and creamy (as shown in the second photo), but quickly sinks in to hydrate skin without leaving a residue.
According to Fortune Cookie Soap (FCS for short), the scent is:
“autumn cranberries, spiced pumpkins, juicy apples and a little bit of clove.”

These perfume oils are great because the scent is so portable. I always wear some kind of perfume but sometimes I leave the house in a hurry. That’s why I keep a couple of these scented oils in my purse. They smell amazing and I’ve never had one leak.
It smells lovely and the bottle has a pretty collection of real flowers floating in it. According to the FCS, the scent is:
“Crisp bergamot, imperfectly perfect blackberries, and ripe raspberries.”
Full Of Stars Hair & Body Shimmer - Retail Value $9.99 (for full-size)

This hair and body spray is absolutely gorgeous! I just want to stare at it like I would a lava lamp. For those of us who feel too old to wear glitter, relax, this hair and body spray is filled with shimmer, not glitter. When spritzed on, it illuminates your body subtly. I prefer to wear a few sprays in my hair for a delicate shine. And as with all the scents in this box, I’m impressed!
This scent is described as:
“Island mango intertwined with tangerine and tropical fruit notes. Juicy orange, sweet dragon fruit and creamy vanilla.”

Hola, Casita! Wax Tart

I love wax tarts! They’re a really nice way to scent your home without the worry of an open flame. If you have kittens (or cats who still think they are), candles can be dangerous to use. So I am excited to find this in my box. According to FCS, the scent is:
"…bright, juicy nectarine notes intertwine with delicate, powdery lotus blooms and creamy vanilla.”
"The Miracle Is You" Fortune Cookie Soap - Retail Value $4.25

This soap is absolutely gorgeous! Like many of FCS’s soaps, it’s almost too pretty to use. This cookie is a sparkling, golden-yellow color with iridescent butterfly glitters adorning it. It’s vegan, vegetable-based, full of moisturizing glycerine, and doesn’t contain any parabens or sulfates.
Plus, it smells great! According to the FCS site, the scent is:
“...bright herbal tea, with fresh lemon peel intertwined with fresh jasmine and soft musk.”
"You’re The Real Gift, Kid" Sticker - Retail Value $0.99
Every month, FCS makes around 4 stickers. They put one in each box they send out. The sticker I received this month says, “You’re The Real Gift, Kid.” I love the saying and the floral motif.
To buy the full set of 4 different stickers, the cost is $3.99. All are designed by FCS and graphics and quotes are all worthy of a place in your sticker collection.
The Verdict
I’m a firm believer that we all need things, however small, to look forward to. Subscription boxes are my monthly gifts to myself. I’ve always looked forward to breaking into each new box. This is especially true of Fortune Cookie Soap’s subscription; it continues to impress me.
For the past two weeks, I’ve been fighting Covid. I’ve held onto my Fortune Cookie Soap box; I was excited for the day I could finally smell its goodness! The August box from Fortune Cookie Soap promised that “Magic Awaits You” and for me, that day came two days ago. There truly is something magical about this box of gorgeous-smelling goodies!
