Gwynnie Bee is a size-inclusive clothing rental subscription service offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like that are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items in your virtual closet are sent to you at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. Since I started using the service, I can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!

The cost depends on how many items you would like to rent out at a time. Prices start at $49 per month for 1 item, and can be up to $199 for 10 items. Gwynnie Bee also has a marketplace on their site where you can buy discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and workout gear as well!

This is a review of the three items at a time for $95/month.

What's Inside This Box

Embroidered Mai Tai Yellow Top by Fever, Size 2x — Cost to Keep $55.00

Day glo yellow-- don't mind if I do! This top has a bit of a fluorescent Boho vibe due to the embroidered pattern throughout this piece. I am surprised the 2x fit me, but barely. I feel like it would have looked better in the 3x, to give it a more beachy, flowy, and relaxed vibe. I did some simple styling by pairing this top with Democracy brand Bermuda shorts from a recent Stitch Fix review, white Mary Janes, and flower power sunnies. Leave it to me to have perfectly matching sunglasses on hand to style this one-- what else would you expect? This top would look fantastic paired with gauzy, linen pants and embellished sandals or with wide legged trousers and a blazer for the office.

Mint Green Geo Print Fit-And-Flare Dress by Maggy London, Size 20w — Cost to Keep $79

This might be my favorite piece from this month's review. I love this retro mod geometric print on this dress. No shock to me that this is by Maggy London aka the Donna Morgan company. I have so many pieces from Donna Morgan. They all have nice prints, the fabric has loads of stretch, and they have a great vintage-inspired style. This dress is no exception to that rule. This is an ideal dress you could wear to the office and out with friends after. I did very simple styling with white Mary Janes and lime green flower power earrings.

Replay Artist Field T-Shirt Dress by Sanctuary Clothing, Size 2x — Cost to Keep $83

Listen, I try to keep things positive, but how is this a dang dress? When I unboxed this item I was shocked not only by how this looks more like a tunic, but also... the shoulder pads. I have always had broad shoulders. The 80s and 90s involved me either wearing shoulder pads and looking like a linebacker or cutting them out if they weren't sewn into the lining of a coat or blazer. So, no, I do not appreciate the shoulder pads on this one bit. It is all rather sad because I LOVE the color palette and scheme of this piece. It has such an 80s-does-60s psychedelic vibe.  The fabric has loads of stretch, but this barely covers my ample dupa! Such a disappointment. I did simple styling this with "dress" and with cream jellies from Torrid, black leggings, and purple cat eye glasses. If this fits you better than it did me, this would look great worn without the leggings, since the weather is hot, hot, hot! In cooler months, keep the leggings, put on a faux leather biker jacket, and chunky, yet funky combat boots.

Verdict

This month's Gwynnie Bee selections were quite the mixed bag! I had fit issues with both the Sanctuary dress and the Fever top. I could always try a size up in the top, but sadly, the Sanctuary dress is a 3x and doesn't come in any higher sizes. Fortunately, the Maggy London dress saved the day! If I were still working in the office, I would definitely wear it to work. It has a great retro vibe that I can never get enough of! I love the dress, but not enough to keep it, however. That is one reason I am all for being able to rent items from Gwynnie Bee! It allows me to try styles and brands I may never have otherwise. Plus, Gwynnie Bee has some of the best deals and incentives! With every purchase, closeted item, and returned pieces, you accrue member points that can be used to purchase items! These points can add up to either $5, $10, or a $15 discount! Gwynnie Bee also offers a variety of additional sales on at home items, too. I have been reviewing Gwynnie Bee for five years and often suggest it to my friends, especially if they are in need of new clothes going back to the office or if they are in between sizes. In addition, Gwynnie Bee has an outlet that members have access to where you can get even further discounted pre-worn items. I have found so many good deals on there, some pieces as low as nine dollars!

A service like Gwynnie Bee is a great option for someone like me that works from home, has been pretty isolated throughout the pandemic, but is slowly dipping my toes into attending more social events. I have been laying low during the pandemic to protect vulnerable family members and myself, so it is rare I hit the malls. Certainly, I do miss shopping dates with friends, but I also love the convenience of having killer fashions delivered right to my doorstep! I don't have to deal with fitting rooms, masking up, slathering myself in hand sanitizer, or driving! I get to have my little try on session all from the comforts of home!

What are you waiting for-- especially with 50% off for your first month! This month's selections were absolutely adorable-- are you as eager as me to see what is in store for us next month?

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got six items this month. The six items total up to $217, which is $122 more than my monthly plan. That is quite a savings without the commitment, eh? That is only with three items, imagine if I had sent pieces back sooner! You can't beat Gwynnie Bee!
