Cat Lady Box is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $34.99 per month Cat Lady Box has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., while the $39.99 per month Crazy Cat Lady Box contains everything from the Cat Lady Box plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the Crazy Cat Lady Box.

First Impressions

As soon as the box arrives, you know your cat-loving heart is in for a good time. Everything arrives in a brown cardboard box with a black cat silhouette on it. Once you open it up, you can expect to find anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy Cat Lady box, you'll also get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

This box does come with an info sheet, and each month they feature custom artwork. This month's artist was Ashley Ideal.

The Breakdown – What’s Inside The August Crazy Cat Lady Box

First, let's meet the cat that will be helping me to review this box. If you've been reading my MSA reviews for a while, you may remember my old cat, Duchess. Duchess is no longer here with me, and after a few months, I felt ready to get another cat companion. Meet Sir Goose! I adopted him when he was one month and twenty-two days old, and he was 2.2 pounds. Now he is a year old and he loves toys—I have yet to find a toy he won't play with.

Goose just recently had his annual visit with the vet, and we found out how much he weighs. Goose weighs thirteen pounds- I knew he was a big boy, but I can't believe I got him when he was 2.2 pounds and now he's 13!

Are You Kitten Me? Shirt - Listed Value $19.99

If you read my Cat Lady Box reviews, you know that I really like the shirts they send. That stays true here- it's made of a soft fabric blend, it is cut longer in the torso, and it's comfortable whether I'm wearing it around the house or to run errands. In previous boxes I have received a sweatshirt, zip-up jacket, and tank top, but by and large a cat-themed tee is what you can expect every month with your subscription, and I have no complaints about it.

Curious Kitten Coffee Tumbler - Listed Value $18.99

This cute coffee tumbler features a black cat peeking over some type of ledge or counter, and I find it to be adorable. Plus, it's well-made and functional. The bottom has a rubber material that gives it a non-slip grip, and the lid has a sliding top that I can open or close. It's hand wash only and the metal cup is definitely not microwave-safe, and it's going to be handy to have around as we hopefully start treading into slightly cooler months.

Cat Lady Pen Set - Listed Value $14.99

A few months ago this subscription box sent us cat sticky notes that I brought to work, and both my assistant and I love them and have been them up. This pen set came to work with me too—I have no shame in my cat-loving game, and there is no such thing as too many pens in my office. It would have been even more fun if the pens wrote in the color of the plastic barrel, but the black ballpoint was smooth.

Cat Travel Spray Bottles - Listed Value $8.99

This is a small item with the lowest of values (for the human items, at least), but these definitely are my favorite items in the box. First, they're adorable- look at those cute little cat faces. Second, they're exactly what I have been needing in my life. Though these are called travel spray bottles, I immediately put the orange bottle to use by filling it with my favorite toner. I just really prefer to spritz my toner onto my face rather than pat it on, but the toners I have been using have not been packaged as sprays. The nozzle on this isn't the most suited for skincare, but it's not like I'm being squirted with a water hose when I use it- it's just not creating a mist so fine it reminds me of a cloud.

Fuzzy Paperclip Catnip Toy - Listed Value $4.99

So many kiddos have been going back to school these past few weeks, so I love the nod to school that both cat toys give this month. This fuzzy paperclip is extra large and extra fuzzy, and I knew Goose was going to enjoy rubbing his face against it.

Before the face rub, though, we must always sniff.

Fall Apple Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99

This apple toy is big- I've seen real apples smaller than it! Goose loved it, this was definitely his favorite toy of the two this month.

He liked holding it between his paws and licking it, and also just laying his head next to it while he looked cute.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

Key Takeaways

This subscription just continues to send creative, practical items that I honestly find quite delightful. This box brings a smile to my face every month, and I love that I get to share it with Goose. The minds behind this box do a great job curating a good mix of practical items with a touch of whimsy, and I always am able to put the items to use while Goose gets right to work playing with the toys. While you should take the listed values with a grain of salt, I absolutely feel like there was more than $39.99 of value in this box. If you have cats and/or like cat-themed things, I recommend checking this subscription box out. If you're looking for fun cat-themed items you can enjoy around your home and share with your feline friend, you're going to see a lot more value in this box than someone who is going strictly off of listed values (or who desires brand name products in a box).

Vi

I do not subscribe to this box but I love your reviews. I have a cat that is six months old and looks just like yours. His name is Taurus. Mine has cream circular swirls on his side though instead of stripes. He has the same beautiful eyes too. Maybe one day I will get this box. Thanks for your review!

Thank you for reading, Vi. Give extra behind the ear scratches to Taurus for me 🙂
