This is one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box — the value and sample sizes are amazing. Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month — so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).
Everything comes packaged snugly in the signature pink Ipsy bubble mailer.
Included is a product card that features a list of the products and any beauty tips.
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month’s theme is ‘Soak It All In,’ and I absolutely love, love, love the included makeup bag! It’s so adorable and perfect for those summertime beach days. This ocean-inspired bag is not only a beautiful color (one of my faves), but also, the gentle wave pattern is quite soothing. I also especially enjoy the little starfish on the zipper hardware; such a perfect touch! I’m excited to see what products were selected for this month’s fun summertime curation.
Now, on to the items!
GOLDFADEN MD Vital Boost Even Skintone Daily Moisturizer, 15 ml - Retail Value $25.00
I am always intrigued by the Goldfaden MD brand. Their products get a lot of hype, and I personally always enjoy them, but it’s hard to know if they truly bring results. Regardless, I’m happy to give the Vital Boost Even Skintone Daily Moisturizer a try. I’m always looking for my next favorite moisturizer, and I have to say, I was quite surprised with this one. The formula is a bit creamier than I usually prefer, but it was fast absorbing and very hydrating to my skin. Highlighted ingredients include hyaluronic acid, organic red tea extract complex, oil of grapefruit, and gooseberry extract. The added benefit of evening out skin tone is another plus for me, and it honestly has no detectable scent. For most skin types, this product is definitely lightweight enough to wear under your primer before putting on your makeup for the day. I haven’t found it to be greasy whatsoever. Now, does it really help to even out skin tone? I haven’t been able to tell yet, but I suppose that’s something that will come over time with extended use, so I’m keeping these fingers crossed.
LOTTIE LONDON Arch Rival Brow Artist Pencil in Dark Brown, 0.12 g - Retail Value $8.26
I’m not the biggest fan of eyebrow pencils, but this is a great main staple to have on hand. Lottie London is a solid brand, and I’ve had the opportunity to try quite a few of their products in recent months. I received this Arch Rival Brow Artist Pencil in the shade ‘Dark Brown,’ which is perfect for me. It’s a nice solid brown with a precision point that makes it quick and easy to fill in any of those bald patches or gaps from poor life choices and eyebrows gone wrong many years ago. I definitely prefer dark, bold brows for myself, and if I only had this eyebrow product on hand, this would definitely do the trick. And best of all, it actually comes with a legit spoolie on one end. Too many eyebrow pencils don’t include this very helpful tool, so I am thrilled that this one does.

OSEA Ocean Cleanser, 18 ml - Retail Value $18.00
I love this OSEA Ocean Cleanser. I’ve had the opportunity to try it from another subscription box in the past, and ever since then, I’ve been a fan. I love the unique pump applicator for this cleanser, which dispenses just the right amount each and every time. The formula is luxurious, and it lathers up just the right amount rather than too much like some other products out there. I appreciate the added benefit of hydration from this cleanser, and I love that even though it looks like a cream, it’s a water-based product that is gentle on my sensitive skin. After washing off, this cleanser leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft, and refreshed, and I’m thrilled to have it!
HALF CAKED Mirror Mirror Highlighter in Pinky Promise, 1.8 g - Estimated Retail Value $10.00
I enjoy incorporating highlighters into my makeup routine. This Half Caked Mirror Mirror Highlighter is really nice. The formula is silky smooth and feels wonderful both to the touch AND on my skin. It doesn’t feel heavy at all and glides on effortlessly. For my skin tone, this shade ‘Pinky Promise’ is a bit light. But that being said, it’s the perfect shade for a more everyday look rather than a dramatic one (although it’s definitely buildable). I love just swiping on a little of this even on a no-makeup day. The additional shimmer is just enough to restore a little bit of a natural glow to my skin even at the end of a busy work day.

PYUNKANG YUL Highly Moisturizing Essence Mask Pack, 2-pc - Estimated Retail Value $3.80
Your girl here is a huge fan of sheet masks. Wash-off masks, peel-off masks… They’re okay. But now, sheet masks? YES, PLEASE. I am super pumped about this two-pack Highly Moisturizing Essence Mask from Pyunkang Yul. Korean skincare works so wonderfully on my skin that I’m always happy for the chance to try a brand that’s new to me, and this company is one of those brands. These sheet masks are so refreshing and so soothing on my skin after a long day in the sun. I love to pop these into the fridge for a few minutes beforehand. If you have any kind of irritation on your face from sun exposure, these masks quickly become cool to the touch and do wonders to alleviate the skin. I also really like the minimal ingredients in these masks, and I appreciate that the formula contains six types of hyaluronic acids and ceramide, along with two peptides, all of which work together to increase skin elasticity and hydration and ultimately breathe youthful radiance into your skin over time.
I thought this was a pretty good month for the Ipsy Glam Bag! As a lover of sheet masks, the highlight for me was the two-pack of hydrating masks from Pyunkang Yul. I love how refreshing they are, especially in the summertime. I’m always looking for products that help even out skin tone and brighten dark spots, so I’m interested to see what Goldfaden MD’s daily moisturizer does for my skin over time. OSEA’s ocean cleanser has a luxurious formula with just the right amount of lather and soothing hydration, which I really enjoy. For a natural highlight, I’m really enjoying the Half Caked Mirror Mirror highlighter. Lastly, Lotti London’s eyebrow pencil is a great main staple, and it even has a spoolie! Overall, the products included in this curation were fun and definitely on brand with the summertime theme of ‘Soak It All In,’ and the value is as promised.
