First Impressions
My package arrived in typical purple bag fanfare.

Pre-2020 Megan was all about floral prints, midi-dresses, and blowing a huge portion of her paycheck at Anthropologie. But something happened to my brain after quarantine. I was suddenly hyper-focused on athletic wear and strangely unused to the girly vibes that were my staple look before I gave up real bras and mascara. And, no matter how I have tried, I am still reaching for my favorite Nike shirts and comfy black leggings, even now. Many of my old favorite dresses were gifted or sold on Poshmark and I just feel like a different person now. All that being said, when I saw the bold print of this month's pick? I was immediately smitten. Maybe even if I didn't feel like myself in this in public, might I like it for my own bedroom and comfy sleep time?

First, contrary to what that adorable model may lead you to believe, I found this look slightly sheer and not something I would be comfortable wearing with sneakers out in public. But I am also kind of a prude sometimes and immensely scared of my bra (or, worse, my nipples) showing through my clothing. While I wouldn't fault anyone else for being so bold, I am just not. So keep that in mind if you purchase this with the intent of wearing it outside of your home.
Happily, I can report that I am head over heels in love with this piece. The cotton is thinner but feels soft and comfortable against my skin. The floral pattern was actually hand-printed so each piece will be unique.

The lace is stretchy and soft and adds a great finishing touch to the top and to the dramatic leg slit. The straps are very, very adjustable. I did end up sizing up once because I was worried about shrinkage and I prefer loose sleep slips. There is a lot of room with this cut so I probably could have gotten an XL, but I don't regret this decision.
My Verdict
Adore Me tapped into a more colorful and fun version of myself this month. I really love this slip so much. It is the ideal summer sleep look in terms of sheer comfort and cheerful colorful flowers. I can't help but smile whenever I put it on! And since I live in a house without central AC, I am comfortable as I am happy when I wear it. So, while I might not be ready to go back to my flowy sundresses out and about town, I am thrilled with this one that I get to enjoy at home.
