First Impressions

This quarter's theme was "Make Today Pawsome" and it looked like there were quite a few things to enjoy outdoors!

Inside the Cubscription Spring 2022 Box

Exclusive Cubscription Build-A-Bear Puppy

This puppy is super cute with one black ear and one white, a black patch over his eye, and a cute little colorful heart on his chest! My son loves him and I thought he was pretty adorable as well.

Exclusive Cubscription Miniature Hat

And if our puppy wasn't cute enough, they gave him this bright and colorful little bucket hat complete with slits cut out for his floppy ears!

Exclusive Cubscription Tie-Dye Mini Tee Set

This cute tee shirt for our puppy (with a slit cut out in the back for his tail!) came with a set of four colors to tie-dye with. While I love the idea, I was actually a bit disappointed in our tie-dye kit. It came with four colors and some gloves, but there were no rubber bands or anything. We have received tie-dye kits in two other CultureFly boxes, but they were much more substantial and included the rubber bands, so this one definitely felt a little cheap by comparison. While I was disappointed about that aspect, my son was really sad that there was no matching apparel for him this time. It would have been so nice to see a matching bucket hat or a shirt for him that he could have tie-dyed to match his puppy! Definitely a missed opportunity!

Exclusive Cubscription Frisbee

The frisbee excited my son and I think it's cute, but this was another item that felt a bit cheap. It wasn't a nice thick, sturdy frisbee, but rather a thin promotional feeling one. It still had the same wow-factor for my son though, so...

Exclusive Cubscription Plastic Cup & Straw

My son said this was one of his favorite items. It's a cute plastic double-layered cup with "Make Today Pawfect!" on it and it comes with a straw with a cute little bear to slide over it. He thinks its fun, but I'm afraid due to the quality it won't last long.

Exclusive Cubscription Picnic Mat

The last item is a fun one and very cute and perfect for a spring box. I love the design and how it folds up so compactly. It's not a very soft blanket, but I think that's okay since we will probably be having some picnics on it and it may wipe clean easier! It did have a very strong odor though so I've left it outside in hopes it dissipates!

Here is my son sitting on it for perspective! It's big enough for a few people or kids!

Value - Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $29.99 + $7 shipping

Value Breakdown: With 6 items in this box and a cost of $29.99 + $7 shipping, that gives each item an average cost of about $6.17. Normally, I am pretty happy with that considering these are all exclusively designed items with Build-a-Bear branding, but this quarter, I have to say that the quality was lacking quite a bit.

Key Takeaways

My son loves his puppy and the hat, and he was excited about some of the other items as well, but he was definitely disappointed that there was no apparel for him this month, as was I. I am also a bit disappointed in the tie-dye set considering the quality we have received from other CultureFly boxes has been much better. Overall, it was still a great box, but there was definitely some room for improvement!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

This is super cute! Just a heads up, the link from Facebook says it’s the “Keep It Cozy” box, with the same picture. I clicked on it because I was surprised they’d send out a sweatshirt when it’s warming up.
