Bespoke Post is a monthly membership club that delivers high-quality lifestyle products with items ranging from outdoor gear, barware, home, and kitchen goods, clothing, and more. I have been reviewing boxes from them for a few years now and it is always exciting when they come out with new boxes and products. So I was eager to chat with Bespoke Post's Director of Private Label brands, Leann Greto, and get an exclusive inside look at some of the new products coming from their in-house line, Wren.

Meet Leann Greto

How long have you been with Bespoke Post?

Just about a year and a half, but I followed the brand for about five years. I’ve been working for just over 20 years in the world of buying and product development for specialty retailers, so when this opportunity came up, it felt like the perfect fit.

Can you tell me a little bit about your position?

As the Director of Private Label Brands, my role is responsible for leading the ideation and development of seven in-house brands. I work with a skilled team who is fully involved in each step of the product life cycle process, including seasonal concepts by brand, sourcing of vendors and materials, negotiating costs, designing products, reviewing prototypes, and partnering with the marketing team on how to promote the final product.

How involved in the process of developing products are you as the Director of Private Label brands?

My main role is to keep the team focused and inspired to continue to create great products and to be the advocate of the brands. There is no typical day for us - some days start with a visit from a vendor to fit a new sweater, and other days may begin with a meeting to review site layouts for a new brand. We are a small but mighty team of five working on all seven brands (ranging from apparel to outdoor gear), and our product development process is very collaborative. While I love being involved in product design and innovation, I’m insanely lucky to have such a talented team who are experts in their respective roles that impress me daily with innovative ideas and solutions.

About Bespoke Post's In-House Brands

Wren Quick-Dry Beach Towel

I'd love to hear more about the in-house brands from Bespoke Post. What exactly does this mean?

Our products are first designed in-house by a team of designers and product developers, developed from the ground up, and specifically made with the Bespoke Post customer in mind. Next, we source and manufacture with one of our many strategic partners across the world, some of whom we have worked with for many years and have fostered direct lines of communication, strong relationships, and trust towards the craftsmanship and quality they produce.

We also partner with existing brands and makers - A key initiative for Bespoke Post is supporting small businesses, and the same holds true for my team. The biggest and most exciting challenge for the Private Label team is creating new and innovative products the customer has never seen, and when we are looking to partner on a product or idea and share resources, brands can come together to make some amazing things happen.

What are the different in-house lines you offer?

Line of Trade is our biggest brand, centered around classic apparel and accessories for the modern man. Marcellin is an alchemy-inspired bar and kitchen line, Wren focuses on the outdoors (with a recently launched apparel line), Ash & Fir spotlights home decor and fragrance with a cool upstate vibe, Halfday is a great line of travel bags and accessories, BaseLight is our grooming brand, and Fill Mill is our newest brand set to launch this summer.

Wren: The Outdoor Line

Wren River Hawk Folding Knife

What types of products can we expect to see from this line?

Currently, a big focus for Wren is expanding the existing products in the line by offering a wider variety of sizes, colors, and prints. We are also developing new product categories in the outdoor space to offer newness year-round. It's important to me that we stay on top of trends, innovation, and technology while keeping things fun and exciting. You can expect to see new lightweight camping furniture, expanded apparel and accessories, more knives and sharp objects, outdoor cooking accessories, and camp lighting within the next 12 months.

What product are you most excited about from Wren?

It’s hard to pick just one! Probably a tie between our River Hawk Folding Knife and our new Inflatable Pool. A tremendous amount of research and development went into creating the perfect folding knife, from the G10 handle that keeps a secure grip when wet, thumb stud for one-handed easy opening, to the custom 440A Modified Stainless Steel blade that is rust-resistant. With so many blade options on the market, I think this one stands out in terms of look, feel, and quality.

Wren Inflatable Pool

On the opposite side of the spectrum is our Wren Inflatable Pool. At 5 ft. diameter, the pool comfortably fits 2 adults or a lot of drinks and ice! When sourcing the material, it was vital to go with an extremely durable heavyweight vinyl that is BPA-free, non-toxic, and built to last summer after summer. We had so much fun working on prints for this product - my favorite Koi Green, which is printed to appear like you’re looking down into a pond of swimming fish.

Can we expect to see any new items from Wren in upcoming monthly boxes?

We have six launching this season that feature Wren, including Retreat, Parked, Chill, Sealed, and two new boxes centered on our inflatable pool and a new wireless waterproof speaker.

Here is a closer look at some of those boxes:

Retreat

"A low-key way to get back to nature." Includes the Wren On-the-Go Hammock and On-The-Go Blanket.

Parked

"A ridiculously portable camp chair." Includes the Wren Compact Camp Chair.

Chill

"A roomy portable cooler for your next summer hangout." Includes the Wren Daytripper Cooler Bag.

Sealed

"A dry bag-cooler hybrid and an absorbent towel for days in the sun." Includes the Wren Insulated Cooler Bag.

Is there anything else you would like readers to know about Wren or the in-house brands?

Currently, we are in the beginning development stages of our Spring ‘23 product lines. There are some really cool products in the pipeline I can't wait for the customer to experience. Our team are all diehard Bespoke Post customers themselves, so you can expect to see more of what you know and love from the brands, plus a few surprises along the way! You can follow us on our socials (@bespokepost) for more sneak peeks into what’s next.

Wrap Up:

I loved learning about the process at Bespoke Post and it was wonderful to hear Leann speak so highly of the team of people she works with! It seems that a lot of thought and effort goes into each and every item they put out and I am pretty excited about these Wren goodies that are perfect for the warmer weather ahead; especially that pool!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Thanks for the scoop on the in-house brands. I was checking out the new Wren speaker, looked at the other Wren products, and then tried to Google Wren, which led me here!
