First Impressions

This quarter's theme was "Keep It Cozy" and I thought this looked like a great mix of cozy items for winter!

Inside the Cubscription Winter 2021 Box

We received this little booklet which highlights all of the items in our box with cute rhymes about each of them. The back features a rhyme about how we need to name our penguin just like you would at an actual B.A.B. Factory.

Exclusive Cubscription Build-A-Bear Penguin

My son was excited to see a penguin in his box, and I think the blue color is pretty fun and I love his matching blue eyes. This penguin is especially soft and like all of the others, he has an embroidered heart on his chest and the B.A.B logo on his hand, although he doesn't seem to feel as substantial as the other animals we've received. I can't tell if it's because he's a bit smaller or if the quality is a bit off this time. I'm hoping I'm just being particular and we continue to receive quality stuffies each quarter!

Exclusive Cubscription Matching Plush Tee

Our matching apparel this quarter is a tee with the theme on the front. It's so fun that you can match with your stuffie!

Exclusive Cubscription Long Sleeve Tee, Size 10/12

Our tee is almost identical, except it has long sleeves. The tee is nice and soft and it seems to fit a bit big. My daughter typically wears an 8/10 so this size 10/12 is a bit big on her, but I think she likes the roomy fit. It is definitely nice and cozy!

Exclusive Cubscription Soup Mug

This soup mug will be perfect for warming up on a cold day! It is made of BPA-free plastic and is very lightweight. I suspect that the logo on the front may wash off over time, but in general, it's a generously sized bowl that is low and wide making it ideal for soup. The handles on the side are great for helping to get that last little drop, too! Fun and useful, but maybe not the highest quality item overall!

Exclusive Cubscription Tic Tac Toe Playset

I love a good travel item and this fun Tic Tac Toe set is small enough to fit inside your purse. The game board is printed on the outside and then the pouch unzips to reveal the painted wooden game pieces. Simple and fun! My son was excited and we played a few rounds right away. Although we did need a flat surface since the lightweight pieces tended to slide around on top of the bag!

Exclusive Cubscription Cozy Socks

Nothing says cozy like a pair of socks! While these are a bit big for my son, he loved how they matched the rest of the items in the box! I liked the bright designs and especially the fun pawprint on the bottom.

Value - Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $29.99 + $7 shipping

Value Breakdown: With 6 items in this box and a cost of $29.99 + $7 shipping, that gives each item an average cost of about $6.17. Considering these are all exclusively designed items with Build-a-Bear branding, I think that's fair, although the quality of some items was a bit questionable this quarter.

Key Takeaways

I thought this was a great mix of wintry items that could be used whether you actually get a true winter or not. Everyone can use a long sleeve tee and a pair of socks and the matching designs were all pretty cute and festive! My son definitely loves the penguin and the game most out of everything he received.
