Is this Eyeko eye product new or was the one we received recently (within the last year) a brow dual ended product?

No Allure, the Eyeko dusk til dawn was sent out 1 year ago in March, the augustinus badar was sent out May 2021, and the AHC eye cream for face was sent out 2 years ago!
The scalp scrub is also a repeat, but not as harmful as what I put on my eyes and face.

SBR

No, the Eyeko dusk/dawn eyeshadow stick was sent out in March 2021.

Wendy

We did get the Eyeko stick in the last year, but it’s eyeshadow not liner. I’m use mine every day. I line my upper lid with the darker shade and my lower lid with the lighter shade. I even bought it again

Mellisa a Otwell

I just received a second Eyeko liner so finally opened my old one and I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I like it!

Wendy

I meant it’s a shadow not a brow color. Sorry

Linda

Oh, wow. I’ve been subscribing over 2 years, but yet received variations for newer members; AlphaH, Acure, Eyeko, Augustinus Bader…
I’ve never cancelled and created new account. I’ve already received those under the same account.
Contacting customer service and see what happens. Honestly I don’t mind receiving Augustinus Bader but hated the rest for the first time I received, and I kept March for Tula believing I won’t get repeats

Hey!! I’d really like to hear what CS says, bc like you- I’ve already gotten all of these products. Good luck!!

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

UPDATE!
They sent me Tula, but did not send me Shani Darden as Acure replacement as they promised on the phone! They sent me another repeat I already got from old box!
At this point, I don’t know what to do😩

Linda

Here is what happened. I contacted CS via email, and they said they will send replacement products but none of them from March box but again all repeats from past box (Kaja, Beautystat, Laruce eye brush…)
I don’t understand my complaint was repeats and they will send me another repeats? Why they can’t send me products that I was supposed to get at the first place? It’s understandable if I cancelled and resub, system recognise me as newer member, but I never cancelled.
I almost gave up but called CS and told them I’ve already received those replacements, then they finally told me they will send Tula and Shani Darden.
No written confirmation nor tracking number provided, so I don’t know if I really receive them, but I shall see…

Kirstie

I initially wasn’t thrilled with this box’s spoilers, but I’m actually okay with what I received. I did not receive the new member gift (I’m not exactly “new”, I had cancelled for a few months and then resubbed.) I got the mascara, Cetaphil (which I already know I like, this will be nice for traveling) Alpha H, Eyeko (the only item I’m disappointed in, I already have this and don’t care for it), Augustinus Bader (another repeat, but I like this product), Shani Darden, and Briogeo (I didn’t really care for either option, I’ll probably give this to my husband).

mmm

I go back and forth with this box. Oftentimes the spoilers make me think I’m not going to like the products, but when it arrives I’m more satisfied. I do think they strive for variety and I am loving the how many mascaras we’ve been getting lately, as well eye
makeup and things like spf. I also appreciate that they attempt something of a high/low mix, and sub in k beauty with American and euro brands.

I wish they had more clean beauty/skin options as it’s mostly just Sunday Riley at this point. And I will say, as much as I loathe to support them, subscribing through Amazon is easier from all respects. Cancelling or skipping is a breeze and you see the products you’re getting. If you don’t skip a lot it seems you’re less likely to receive variations (aka repeats). This month I got all the new items and none of the repeats, although I wouldn’t complain about getting the Augustin Bader moisturizer a million times! It’s a lifesaver for travel, winter weather or if you’ve had skin treatments and need restorative deep moisture.

Allure Beauty Box

Thank you for your kind words, MMM!

We love hearing what our members have to say about their box and have passed your feedback along to our teams for their review!

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy

Okay, I got the AHA, which I’m fine with. It is a repeat, but it has worked wonders on my neck, chest, and the backs of my hands. Too much for my face, though. I got the Augustinus Bader (also a repeat, but love), the eyeko (I already use this as liner every day), Shani Darden, and the Briogeo. I feel pretty good about this.

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy

I forgot the mascara. I got that too. I don’t count the Cetaphil. That’s a throw away for me.

Reply ButtonReply

AH

I’m honestly kind of shocked and saddened by some of these comments. I have had a very different experience with Allure. I have called their customer service number probably at least 10 times over the years, and I have always, and I mean always, had nice, helpful reps. I will admit that I am extremely kind myself, like overly, because I find you catch more flies with honey than vinegar like they say. To me, that’s the best way of getting what I want lol. If you are having a bad experience with a rep, I would kindly ask for their name, and then call back. Let the new person know that you weren’t being treated well, and escalate to asking for a manager if needed.
With regards to the box contents, I have also had fairly decent luck with them keeping their word on no repeats. I believe I have only skipped one box in almost 3 years, and I have been receiving the new products, none of the old or repeat ones. If you do receive a repeat, call Allure and I’m 100% sure that they will send out whatever item you should have gotten. I know it’s a hassle, but you’ll end up with the product you didn’t get plus the one repeat (could be good or bad lol depending on your product overload level).
This isn’t my favorite box by any means, but the value is there to me. I think the one thing that bothers me is that new or returning subs get the gifts, and there really isn’t an incentive to stay loyal to them. The only incentive I can come up with is that you’ll actually should get the main or new variation and that’s kinda stinky. I do think that they are doing the variation thing to cut down on people canceling or skipping, and I think it could be viewed as a smart business move or a horrible one given the comment section. I could imagine that it can be difficult to gauge how many boxes to have available with all the canceling/skipping and because I think it’s been years since Allure actually ran out of the box during the month that they probably have a TON of back products and boxes. So they had to come up with some way of getting rid of stuff.
Lastly, I buy boxes because I like getting packages in the mail (LOL), they’re a fun little treat to myself, and I’m physically disabled so getting into stores is next to impossible. Anyways, if this box is causing you more headaches than smiles, I would say just cancel.

Jean

I received the AlphaH product and the Eyeko stick (ugh). I know AlphaH is well regarded but honestly I have so many “resurfacing” products I could exfoliate myself down to the bone.

Reply ButtonReply

Nurse

I received the same products, and won’t use either of them. The only thing I actually wanted from this box was the Tula, and I didn’t get it. I miss the old box that was cheaper, had better stuff, and consistent contents.

Reply ButtonReply

Nurse

I didn’t realize that there were variations to this box, and of course I received everything I didn’t want! This is my second month after coming back from a long absence, and I’m already disappointed. What happened to there being only one box that everyone got?

Allure Beauty Box

We’re so sorry to hear this. The box you received was based on the time you purchased your box and to help avoid sending our customers the same products, there would be slight variations in the boxes members received. Now I learned new members (cancelled and reactivated members included) are getting 2 full size Sunday Riley products (spf and eye cream) on top of huge discount and regular new members gift.
I really HATE Allure ALWAYS treats new and cancelled members as VIP and treats loyal members like crap. Now I have to regret staying loyal and keeping March box instead of cancelling after Feb. I should have cancelled after Feb and reactivated to get the best. Moving forward, I should cancel every month and reactivate to get a decent box.
Is that what you want us to do Allure?

I’ve received gifts for being a loyal subscriber a few times over the last few years, including earrings, Marc Jacobs lip gloss, and an entire bundle. Do you expect an extra gift every month?

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

Same as others, I’ve been subscribing for over 2 years (March was the last box in my annual sub and I did not renew, well, they did charge despite me having timely cancelled and my account showing me as inactive – which Allure recognizes was in error but is saying it might be 1-2 months before I get a refund – so yeah, I’m trying to sort all of that out, but I digress). I have never received a loyal member perk. I did get a “bonus” box when I went annual at the time of the price increase, but that was full of old stock/repeat items like those Model Co. eyeshadow trios and the like.

Wendy

I’ve been a subscriber for over 4 years. I think the only time I got something extra was when they offered new subs a really nice package of products and the regular folks for the nothing special box. I guess enough people complained, so we got emails saying that all the loyal subs would get the new package as well.

Linda

Clearly no one is expecting extra gift every month. I’ve been subscribing for more than two years and received none

Melissa

I understand that people are upset and/or concerned about the fact that this box contains items that have been sent out before and that Allure is trying to clean out old stock. That being said, I don’t know how people are assessing this box to be a bad box, much less a Target quality box (no offense to Target).
Yes, Cerave is a “drugstore brand,” but it is also highly recommended by dermatologists. Alpha H is an award winning product and carried at Sephora. Tula is a very popular brand and carried at Ulta. Augustinus Bader and Shani Darden are considered “luxury” skin care brands. NatureLab Tokyo and Briogeo are both popular brands.

This box is definitely heavy on skincare and could use some more makeup or a perfume or nail polish, but I can’t see that it is a bad box or a “Target” box.

Reply ButtonReply

Annie S.

It sort of reminds me of those old Target boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy

My box has shipped. I’m curious to hear what variations everyone gets. I have seen the post about Amazon’s version Please share when you receive your boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

I subscribe only through Allure, not Amazon.

My “old” subscription that I have had for many years received:
Blinc: UltraVolume Tubing Mascara
Cetaphil: Gentle Skin Cleanser
Item 3 Tula: Signature Glow Refreshing & Brightening Face Mist
Item 4: Beyou: Caffeine Eye Cream
Item 5: Origins: Gin-Zing Oil-Free Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer – these were itty bitty little tubes, and I got 2 of them
Item 6: Shani Darden Skincare: Retinol Reform
Item 7: Briogeo: Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo

My new subscription that I have had since December got:
Blinc: UltraVolume Tubing Mascara
Cetaphil: Gentle Skin Cleanser
Item 3: Alpha H: Exfoliating Tonic
Item 4: Eyeko Shadow Stick, Full Size, Retail Value: $12.50

Item 5: Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream

Item 6: Acure: Bakuchiol Serum, Retail Value: $19.99 for 20ml
Item 7: NatureLab Tokyo Scalp Scrub, Retail Value: $17 for 8.8 oz

So completely different boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Oka

Is it possible to have 2 subscriptions using same name and mailing address? I thought Allure would cancel both if we try to create another account while having active account.

Linda

I will:)
I’ve been subscribing for probably 2 years under same account, so I can fairly guess what I’m going to get this month. Likely Amazon version. I’ve already got AlphaH, Acure Bakuchiol Serum, Augustinus Bader Cream, Eyeko Shadow (I skipped the month this shadow was in, so it technically won’t be a duplicate, but I don’t think Allure system can track that closely although I prefer this variation. )

I purchased 2 boxes of J&K, so although I didn’t get AHC Eye Cream and NatureLab Tokyo Scalp Scrub as monthly subscription, those are technically repeats for me. I prefer not to receive them as I already have two! But probably I have to suck it up.
Do you think items purchased from limited box count as repeats and I can request replacement if I receive?

If I receive AlphaH or Acure, I will definitely complain since those are clearly repeats and worse, I hated them.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

What happened to this box? It used to be so good and now it doesn’t justify the price increase. The box was better before they increased the price.

Reply ButtonReply

Yvette

Just FYI in case Allure is still reading… I want popular products from well-known, respected brands. Idk what the procurement process is for their products, and it may be that well-known, respected brands don’t need to promote their products in these boxes, but Allure used to have good products in their boxes sometimes and other boxes still get good products, so I don’t know.

Reply ButtonReply

Allure Beauty Box

Hi Yvette!

Yes, we’re still here 🙂 Thank you for your feedback, please know that we have informed our teams of your thought. We’re always striving to bring you the best experience each month, we hope that you found your March box something worthwhile!💖

Reply ButtonReply

Tolin

They sent out Sunday Riley, Christophe Robin, and Rare Beauty in January, so they can definitely still get the good stuff. Why they don’t do it every month is beyond me. They seem to have 3-4 months of horrible boxes, then a great one just as everyone is about to cancel.

Reply ButtonReply

Yvette

I did not want this box and around the 2nd of the month I confirmed that my account was still “suspended.” Well I just got an email saying my March box has shipped. Also lo and behold my account is now active. I just emailed them telling them all this.
I don’t know what they’ll say, but I have a feeling I’ll end up screwed on this. Not happy with them.

Reply ButtonReply

MOI

I cancelled my annual sub over a month ahead of time- with email confirmation. They STILL charged me the following month the full annual amount- I called and emailed them within minutes of the pending charge. They STILL allowed it to post – and every single customer service rep and manager I dealt with was very rude to me- as if it was my fault. Would have loved to see how they reacted to $240+ being withheld from thei paychecks and without their permission. NEVER again will I have anything to do with ALLURE. Worst customer service ever. A Condé Nast rep got involved finally, but WAY too late. I ended up going through my. Refit card and filing a dispute- and of course I won the dispute. Allure is truly pathetic. I WAS a long time customer.

Reply ButtonReply

Kirstie

I literally had the same exact thing happen to me this morning.

Reply ButtonReply

Yvette

FYI, they replied saying that’s just the way it is. If you suspend it’s just for one month. So I wrote back asking how I could ensure that it stays suspended going forward. No reply and that was a couple days ago so I don’t think they will reply.

Jennifer L Atwood

Me too!

Wendy

Are we going to get any hints for April?

Reply ButtonReply

Sue

Right?? Normally at least one spoiler is out by now.

Reply ButtonReply

Katie

Yeah, I had to quit subscribing to the Sephora box because I really didn’t the disappointment of not getting the variation I was hoping for. I would rather pay twice as much directly from the company for an item I want, than hope ***for a month*** it arrives only to be disappointed it did not. Just say NO to variations! I really want that TULA spray, but I just KNOW they’d send me the opposite of what I want.

Reply ButtonReply

Christine Hall

The Amazon version has the TULA spray. I just received mine the other day. Plus you get your box 2 days after ordering. I wait for full spoilers before I order that month’s box, otherwise I just cancel. Amazon makes it so easy and it shows the exact variation you are getting. I love the TULA spray, main reason I ordered this month 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Katie

I went ahead and ordered from Amazon because I really like knowing what I will get, and will even forego the new member gift to know exactly what I’m getting (Are you listening Allure?). Anyways, even though I have Prime, it says it will not ship right away. I ordered 3/14 and it says it may arrive anytime between 3/25 and 4/4.

Snow

Receiving a box two days after ordering seems lightening fast….I personally have never had that experience. They do ship soon after ordered, but then there is always a few days it’s in transit. I do think there are way fewer frustrations ordering through Amazon than through Allure. And until they get their stuff together, I’m avoiding all things Allure. March’s box is beyond ridiculous….

Allison

Looking at these products, I’ve already received: Acure Bakuchiol serum; Origins Gin-zing moisturizer; Augustus Bader Cream; Eyeko Shadow Stick; Alpha-H Tonic (loved that hope I get it again;) and possibly one of the Briogeo products but I can’t be sure. At least 40% of the items are repeats. It really does feel like they are cleaning out the basement, whatever Allure says.

oh man. I’m pretty bummed. I’ve subscribed to Allure on and off for years and I have gotten each of these products minus the Blinc and I don’t remember the Beyou at all in a past box or as a brand- never heard of them. I’ve gotten them all either in my monthly box or as a new member gift. I got a few repeats from a couple years ago in my feb. Box as well. I like treating myself to some new self pamper products each month (its not always easy for me to budget it in so spending 23 dollars each month matters to my life) and Allure is a brand that i feel should really be trusted to send us new, quality, trusted and exciting products to try- you know, like their editors get to try? The insert always has a staffer talking about the products in a great way but I bet they’d be dissapointed, frustrated and even angry if they got something from 2 years ago that they’d already been sent 3 times AND they don’t even pay for their goodies that they get sent to try. If it’s too hard to get us good quality products that are something new each month then maybe just end the box? Allure should be a brand we are raving over how good they are not feeling so let down by.

Hey Allure, since you are reading these comments, please bring back the Beauty Thrills boxes. I miss those and they could be a good way to get rid of your extra stockpiles. I also miss the awesome August giveaways you used to do…

I’ve never skipped a box in 5 years, and I guess I’m fine with this one. I go through a ton of mascara and can’t remember the last time I had to actually buy it due to this sub, the tubing mascara is worth it for me.I’ve received very nearly all of these items in other boxes so I’m confused as to what I’ll get if they try not to give repeats. In my opinion, they actually do do a great job of not sending repeats. I wouldn’t be mad about getting the Pixie lip thing again, I’ve been using it a lot and it’s a good alternative to actual lipstick when you’re going out and have to mask up for parts of your evening.

Allure charged early this month. I thought I had until at least tomorrow to skip but it’s pending on my card. I hope this box is a reflection of the world wide chain supply issue rather than an editorial choice. In my case, I guess the mascara pays for the box. I hope the homeless woman who gets all my box overflow is pleasantly surprised with the rest.

I’ve tried cancelling my Allure box for the past 2 months… and today I called again and they hung up on me when I declined the promotional offer. If it wasn’t this hard to cancel I would have given it another shot- but I’m done giving them my money. I HOPE this time it is officially cancelled.

I was able to cancel with no problem. The guy on the phone was nice and did offer me a good deal to stay. I didn’t accept his offer and he did cancel me. Try calling back and getting someone else. I cancelled because I really wanted one product and didn’t get it. They need to offer choices so people don’t get things they will never use.

Clearly nothing has changed with the very poor customer service at Allure. They have never been “happy” to help with anything their fault.
