First Impressions

This month's theme is perfect for Saint Patrick’s Day: "Clover Fields.”

I’ve subscribed to Your Bijoux Box for five years.  I originally read about Your Bijoux Box here on My Subscription Addiction and once I received my first box of bling in the mail: I was hooked!

Every month the mailer the box comes in matches the theme.  How thoughtful is that?  A card always accompanies the jewelry with a sweet sentiment and a description of the goodies contained within the Tiffany blue box.  The box itself is very sturdy and designed to be kept and used for storage.  I’ve accumulated many boxes at this point, and I stack them on my bathroom counter and use them to store things like barrettes, hair bands and other little things I want to keep corralled.  I also have some lining a dresser drawer filled with various items I have listed for swap here on the MSA swap site.  All in all, a very nice presentation.

Bring On The Bling!

Clover Fields Necklace

In my opinion, Your Bijoux Box jewelry is a step above most jewelry subscriptions, because the jewelry is dipped in sterling silver or actual gold.  The stones used aren’t just cheap pieces of glass, either.  They’re genuine CZs.  So, they sparkle like crazy.  CZ or Cubic Zirconia is a manmade stone that is harder than most gemstones (meaning less likely to chip or break) and is close in value to the shininess of a diamond.  Yes, I read the article on Wikipedia.  No, I won’t bore you with actual numbers!

Happily, Your Bijoux Box offers a silver/gold subscription, a silver only subscription, and a gold only subscription.  You can also select whether you want earrings or not and put in your ring size.   I also must give bonus points to Shana, the owner, because she’s happy to work with you.  Some months, I want to gift my set to my mother or sisters (who do have pierced ears,) so I just message Shana through Facebook messenger and ask for earrings that particular month.  It’s never been a problem for her to make that happen!

This month’s necklace: Clover Fields, is lovely!  I adore the design.  Rather than putting a few clovers at the center and calling it done, it feels like a lot of work went into it.  Plus, it’s adjustable!  There is a pretty slider at the back to adjust the length to fit any neckline.  There’s such attention to detail that even the little stopers at the end of the chain have matching Emerald green CZs!

Clover Fields Earrings

How darling are these earrings?  Like a bouquet of little clovers to adorn your ears!  I love anything floral, but I don’t have pierced ears (I have fat earlobes and the earring always went inside my ear) but I’m seriously considering trying to pierce them again just to wear these.

Luckily, until then, Your Bijoux Box offers a no-earring option.  Instead of earrings we’ll receive a matching bracelet or ring (depending on what the collection is comprised of that month).

Clover Fields Ring

This ring is cute, sparkly and the clovers are just the right size.  But the best part is that it’s adjustable!  The manner in which this ring adjusts is much nicer than the typical backing of adjustable rings you’d find on other, cheaper jewelry.  It’s easy to bend and comfortable to wear.  I’d say it adjusts up to a size 9.  Unfortunately for me, I generally only wear rings on my ring finger and mine is a 10.  My sister is super excited about this because she knows that means I’m giving it to her, along with the earrings.  That necklace, however, is all mine!

Irish Zest Whipped Sugar Scrub, Handmade by Shana (the owner of Your Bijoux Box)

I am in utter love with this scrub!  It smells amazing!  Fresh and clean; I can’t get enough.  It’s thick but not overly so; you can see in the picture that it’s the perfect consistency on my fingers.  Importantly, it’s exfoliating but not rough.  In fact, I love it so much that I contacted Shana, and am happy to report that she will be adding it to her shop!

She also let me in on a spoiler exclusive to MSA: next month’s bonus item will be handmade whipped body butter!  I have to say that I’m really excited about these self-care items that have started appearing in this box.  The idea of Your Bijoux Box is to gift yourself a little something, each month.  And spa items fit this theme perfectly!

The Verdict

All in all, this is a great box.  I love silver and flowers and this box is silver with flowers: I’m thrilled!  The only way it could possibly be better for me is if the stones were clear rather than Emerald; this is the kind of set I’d wear everyday and clear stones match everything.  However, this is a Saint Patrick’s Day box, the idea is to wear green in an elegant manner.  And the Clover Fields box delivers!

As for the stated retail value of $200, I believe it fair considering the uniqueness, quality and material of the pieces.

Finally, I'd like to thank my sisters: Cindy, for modeling, and Christine for doing her makeup!

To Wrap Up

Can you still get this box if you sign up today?

Yes, if you hurry!  As soon as it sells out, you’ll get the March box as your first box.  Once the March box is released, if there are any Clover Fields boxes left, they will be available in Your Bijoux Box’s shop for $70.  So, if you really want it, grab it now while it’s $49.99.

Value Breakdown:This box cost $49.99 which means each of the 4 items cost an average of $12.49.  That’s a great value for higher end jewelry that you won’t find anywhere else.

It looks like a fantastic box. It makes me want to try it, because it seems different.

Very informative!! I haven’t subscribed to this box yet as I have been on the fence about it. But the jewelry is beautiful and I love that there are so many options to choose from.

I’m not sure why people feel the need to disrespect others in the comments though. That seems uncalled for.

Thanks! One of my sisters is the model and the other did her makeup. I’ll tell them what you said; they’ll both be thrilled!

Well, it looks fantastic! Now I want to do my makeup like that too.

In addition to “a silver/gold subscription or a silver only subscription” Your Bijoux Box also offers a gold only subscription. It’s something she did for me initially as a special request, but she has now included that as one of the subscription options (I’d say it’s probably been at least 6 months now).

The webpage posted my replies out of order. I checked with Shana and she told me that she had only recently added a gold only option. I wasn’t aware of the change. In my last comment, I thanked you for letting me know of the change. 😉

And that particular comment hadn’t posted yet when I added my reply. The only comment that had posted at the time of my reply was the one saying there was no gold-only sub and no gold pieces had been made. Perhaps that clarifies things for you.

Lindsey @ MSA

Thanks, Sherri! I’ll update Kate’s review to include the additional subscription option. 🙂

@Kate K, if I could post a photo with this comment, I would show you the gold set that I received. Also, if you go to the subscription sign up page on her website and check out the drop-down menu, you’ll see the last option states “I only want gold plating.”

By way of explanation: As I mentioned previously, it’s a more recent thing that she added the gold-only option (w/in the last 6 months or so). I am aware that gold-only was previously not an option; it wasn’t when I signed up for the sub. Which lead me to discuss that with Shana (because I only wear gold jewelry, I don’t wear silver), and she kindly agreed to accommodate my special request for gold-only by having a gold set made for me when silver was the default for the month. At some point I noticed that she decided to include the gold-only as a subscription option generally, when (for other reasons) I checked out the subscription sign-up page on her website. I promise I wasn’t just making stuff up when I dropped my previous comment, and in fact I double-checked the subscription sign-up page on her website right before I made the comment, to make sure she was still doing that and that my comment would be accurate.

Kate K

Oh! I just checked with Shana, the owner, she did indeed just create a gold only subscription! Thanks for letting me know!

Kate K

There’s no “gold only” subscription. At least not anymore. The main subscription is gold/silver (there is a silver only as an option). This month for example; everyone got this silver set. No gold was made.
