First Impressions
My package arrived in typical purple bag fanfare.
I swapped back to a normal set this month, which might have been a mistake. But let's dive in:
Auburn Unlined Plus - Retail Value $49.95 ($39.95 for VIP Members)
This set was stunning in the image. I mean, that celestial pattern? Gorgeous and so unique. And I have liked corset styles in the past because they shape everything nicely and feel generally super sexy. I ran into a few issues this month though.

First, this corset has ZERO stretch in terms of fabric. I know, real corsets don't, but it would have made the fit here much more flattering if the lace or the print fabric had some give. Instead, the star fabric felt weirdly thick and almost crinkly, like it had a layer of plastic between it and the liner. And the lace was rough and itchy. The structure was legit though. There is metal boning throughout this thing. And the lace-up had a clever design where it never actually comes unlaced. But I found myself feeling sweaty and out of breath just trying to get it on to experience the fit. And that was before I even laced it. Which, by the way, is nearly impossible without help.

I rarely like to use the word "hate" in my reviews, but it is applicable here. See that adorable star print fabric? It was literally like wearing a diaper. It feels like one of those sheets that you put on a kid's mattress to make it waterproof. It was just awful to wear and obviously unflattering. I have no idea what they were thinking here.
My Verdict
This might be my first big Adore Me miss. I don't have many nice things to say about this set aside from the fact that the star fabric was beautiful, which almost makes the poor fit feel worse (I will be sending it back ASAP). I have never tried on a corset that made me look waistless and square before, but this was it. What a missed opportunity.
