This month I am hoping for some color since the sun has gone far, far away, and maybe a little sparkle to help me get into a festive mood for the holidays.

What's Inside The Bag
So Susan Limited-Edition Makeup Bag, December 2021 - Retail Value $12
So Susan's makeup bags are an awesome size to fit a day's look in. They're easy to wipe clean, and I always enjoy the colors and patterns they choose. I haven't been reviewing this subscription very long, but this flamingo bag is definitely my favorite so far.
Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Luna Light - Retail Value $19.00
During winter, I live in liquid blush and luminizer. This champagne highlight can function as subtly or bright as you like; there is something so irresistible about a formula that just melts right into your complexion, yet could still potentially beam you up into the heavens. It is also fantastic to use mixed with your foundation (just a teeny, tiny amount) to dew up that skin.
So Susan Cosmetics Perennial Palette in Dahlia - Retail Value $48.00
This is my second Perennial Palette from So Susan Cosmetics, and I am living for it. There are so many great attributes to using a lip palette, but my favorite is having so many options in such a sleek palette. I love the colors, the formula, the scent, and the pigmentation.
The only potential downside to this product is having to carry a lip brush or other applicator; you could use a finger, but some of the darker hues will stain, and you won't get that precise application you need.
Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Eye Smolder in Deeds - Retail Value $24.00
Although I am relieved this isn't just another black eyeliner, I must say this is definitely not an easy pencil to work with. It tugged at my eyelids, and it was just an all-around bummer, even after I warmed it up using my hairdryer. The product I managed to get on my lids did help my eye look stay in place, but I will likely never use this again.
So Susan Cosmetics Color Trip in Willing - Retail Value $18.00
Willing is a fun sparkling gold pigment. It needed a base to get an opaque layer, and once it is on, it is a stunner. This color is a very warm, deep gold and would be flattering on any skin tone.
Oops. This is the downside of using loose pigment which happened to have a loose sifter.
These swatches are of the So Susan Loose Pigment and the Jelly Pong Pong Eyeliner.
This look was so easy to do. Dramatic lip and shimmering lids? I am in love. I layered So Susan's pigment with a wet brush over the Jelly Pong Pong liner, and it created a festive golden look that I will definitely be repeating (minus the liner).
This month's So Susan Color Curate had its hits and one miss. I always really enjoy the brands they feature, but this time around I found myself loving the So Susan cosmetics the most. The shimmering gold shadow and warm lipstick palette were of excellent quality, and I foresee myself using them a lot this winter. On the other hand, I was definitely not loving Jelly Pong Pong's stiff eyeliner, but their small tube of luminzer is pigmented enough to last a lifetime. This month's picks add up to a value of $121, which is awesome for a $20.95 price tag.
