This is my first-ever Beachly Box! I am incredibly excited. Since moving from the East Coast to the West Coast, I’ve begun spending more time in the sun and am happy to be receiving some new-to-me products and brands that are made for fun in the sun.
The Beauty Products
HONUA SKINCARE Hawaiian Beauty Water, 60 ml - Retail Value $24
This really is a glow potion. This lightweight beauty water has the consistency of a toner but also works as a gentle exfoliant to reveal softer and more radiant skin. After washing my face, I applied this product with a cotton round, and it left my skin feeling cleansed and refreshed, and it was not drying. It gave me a glowy complexion without any of the irritation of a peel or a harsh scrub. It has a very nice, light, fresh, natural scent that dissipates quickly. After application, I felt a slight tingle on my face that let me know the potion was actually doing its job. It’s everything that I love in a good skincare product. Simple, clean, and formulated with real high quality ingredients.
COOLA Classic Liplux Organic Hydrating Lip Oil Sunscreen SPF 30, 3.2 ml - Retail Value $18
I have to be honest -- one of the things I always forget to do is apply any kind of SPF product to my lips. I’m not sure what can happen to your lips from sun exposure, but I’m imagining that they would end up looking something like a wrinkly butthole. I don’t know about you, but that’s not something I want in my life, so I’m positively thrilled to receive this product and be reminded to apply sunscreen everywhere. I love how this product not only protects your skin from the sun, but it also leaves a beautiful, natural glossy shine on my lips. The product is easy to apply, especially with its slightly curved applicator. It’s not at all greasy and doesn’t leave behind any sticky residue. I found it to absorb quickly and leave my lips feeling super smooth and hydrated. But what makes this an absolute win for me is the delicious tropical piña colada scent. It definitely makes me feel like every day is a beach day. The compact size of the lip oil makes it super convenient to fit in your pocket or any small bag or purse. Did you know that 90% of visible aging is from sun damage? Because I didn’t. Also, did you know that you should be applying sunscreen all year-'round, even if it looks cloudy outside? It’s true, I swear -- and since I live in California, where it is very sunny quite a bit of the time, I’m definitely going to get a lot of use out of this product, and it is something that I would strongly consider repurchasing again.
OSEA MALIBU Gua Sha Sculptor, 1 pc - Retail Value $32
Okay, I have to say that I have never been a jade roller, massager, or sculptor user. Who has time for this? I watched a tutorial and while the tool did help with some of the tension I carry in my jaw, the whole process was a bit complicated and incredibly time-consuming. I’m usually rushing in the morning, possibly even running late, so something like this doesn’t really work for my lifestyle. I wish there was a device that I could just put over my face while I’m getting ready that would perform this relaxing massage for me, but alas, there is not. So, I’m going to have to pass… On this product to one of my friends that has their life a little more together, or maybe is better at scheduling or time management than myself. This Gua Sha sculptor is authentic and spa-quality. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to mimic the effects of a high-end spa treatment without the high-end expense.
SEABAE BEAUTY Reusable Eye and Face Wipes, 4 pc - Estimated Value $14.29
When I first saw these, I thought they were pot holders, which was very confusing because this is not a lifestyle box… But these reusable cotton rounds are made from ultra-soft hemp cotton and are super-smooth on my sensitive skin. I applied my cleanser, added water, and was easily able to remove all of my makeup. Everything just kind of glided right off. The smaller ones, I used to apply the Hawaiian beauty water, which worked really well. What’s also cool is that this product is 100% reusable, biodegradable, and created with the goal of reducing disposable and single-use plastic waste. They’re super easy to clean and machine washable. Air dry is recommended, but I accidentally threw one into the dryer, and it came out just fine, which sells me even more on the quality of this product.
LÜME Glow Beauty Granola, 51 g - Retail Value $4.25
At first, I thought this was a beauty product, but then I realized it was a snack and got super excited. I am truly a snacker at heart -- a grazer, if you will. I prefer a bunch of bites of different things than a meal of one or two. This granola was incredibly intriguing to me because the toasted almonds, oats, and French lavender are infused with collagen, biotin, and pearl to work from the inside out to give you glowing skin, healthy hair, and strong nails. I think it tastes pretty good, especially for having zero refined sugar. The lavender, for me, gives a little bit of a bitter taste, but overall, it’s pretty delicious sprinkled on top of a little soy yogurt.
I have to say, I’m really impressed with this month’s Beachly Beauty Box. Everything was different and intriguing. I love the Hawaiian Beauty Water. It’s such a gentle exfoliant that I can use it daily and not have to worry about an irritation on my skin, and I love the glowing complexion it leaves behind. I’m very happy that an SPF lip oil was included in this box. With the perfect applicator and the lovely shine and sun protection, I’m definitely going to be trying harder to apply sunscreen to my lips daily. The SeaBae reusable face wipes are completely different from any other reusable wipe I’ve used in the past. I like how smooth the texture is and how gentle it feels on my skin. The Lüme granola is so excitingly different from anything I’ve received in a box before -- a beauty product that is also a snack has a special place in my heart. While the Osea sculptor is not something I can work into my everyday life, it felt very nice on my face and definitely helped work on some of the tension I hold there. I know one of my friends will be super excited to have it. Overall, this was an amazing box for me, and this is only the first. I can’t wait to see what Beachly Beauty does next month.
