Was excited about the CT lipliner. Color is ok, but product is dry and waxy and generally a terrible formula…what gives? Is their product always this bad, did I get a lemon, or is this another one of those subpar products made specifically for subscription boxes? Anyone else take issue with the formula of the CT lipliner?

Just watched the unboxing video and it was a mess. There was a lot of either/or going on with products and the presenter only talked about what new subscribers would get.
They really need to work on that.
So it looks like they’re still clearing out old stock.

Great. More eyeshadow to throw away and A lip liner I’ll never use. I subscribed to a lore beauty box because I wanted skin care products yet they insist upon including cheap tacky eyeshadows and things like lip liner. People are still wearing masks. I have probably 25 lipsticks I can’t even wear. And I love illness, they make some great products, so why don’t we get one of those instead of something like a skin cleanser? Blech.

I’m pretty sure the hero cosmetics lighting wand is the deluxe size not the full size. So the value is actually $12.99 not $19.99. I just checked Amazon for the spoilers and it shows the deluxe sample size.

I’ve been a subscriber off & on for a few years, and every time I re-subscribed (using the same account) I always received the “new subscriber” gift. 🙂 To re-subscribe, I always just purchased a new sub, rather than re-activating my old sub, so that may have something to do with it.

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. 🙁 Out of curiosity, when did you do that? The last time I purchased a new sub was back in August, so I’m wondering if maybe they changed their policy or system since then.
One thing I didn’t mention, because I didn’t think it mattered but maybe it does, is that whenever I re-sub I always purchase a 3-month gift sub… mostly so that my sub just automatically ends without me having to worry about actively cancelling it, but I also don’t mind receiving three boxes since I generally like the Allure boxes and I’m not always subbed so it’s like I get to experience the box again for a few months. I wonder if since it’s a gift sub they think the giftee is a new subscriber despite the name & address being the same, lol. Orrrr, maybe I’ve just been getting lucky all these years, lol.

I’ve been a member for way to many yrs to even say and I’ve never canceled not even once. That being said ok yeah I’m excited about the CT lip liner mainly. The rest meh bc Elemis isn’t a guarantee either. Now what I’m like this ain’t right for is how if u subscribe u get to try a Louie parfum or a full size Shani Darden retinol serum. What, those should’ve been in the boxes of ppl who’s been extreme loyal customers that’s been around for yrs on end and never canceled. I mean dang I’ve never even skipped either. This kinda ticks me off bc my welcome gift was a dang ncla super pink nail polish many yrs bk.

That’s how subscription boxes work. Just cancel and then resubscribe when a new member gift appeals to you (with a different email if necessary).

I’ve been getting beauty sub boxes for about 6 years now, at one time, I had all the major ones. One thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes the same brands or products make their rounds through the sub boxes. I don’t know if it’s the brand, trying to promote or trying to get rid of product. But I’ve snagged some multiples of items I’ve loved because of that but also ended up with two or three of the same item I won’t use so I donate them.

The Amazon version is up on their site. It looks like Amazon subscribers will be getting the hero serum. I don’t love this box, but I’m curious enough about and will at least try everything, so I’ll probably get it.

Elemis, Charlotte Tilbury, Shani Darden, and BeautyStat are far from “unknown” brands in the cosmetics and skincare world and are all pretty expensive edging to luxury brands. Cetaphil has been around for ages and is commonly recommended by dermatologists, definitely not “unknown” either.

I got really excited when I saw the Christian Louboutin Loubiworld Collection fragrance until I realized it is for new subscribers only. 🙁 I don’t know anything about it but the picture is appealing, and I love to try new fragrances.

I called customer service and they did it for me since I skipped November and my account was “suspended” (and so the possibility to choose). It was faster than clicking around the website to find the customization page!

The Neom cream is a 1 oz tube according to the Allure site. The Cetaphil is .35 oz.

I have used Shani serum a few times and thought it worked wonders! I had it in my cart several times but couldn’t pull the handle to buy.I had to order the box to get this full size!! I got the SR A+ from FFF order because I like that too. I will be good for the next 6 months at least.

Some intriguing things, but for me 1 item is all it takes to make me uninterested. And this box is the Floss shadow. How many of the similar looking eyeshadows can we get. I got October so we had similar looking shadow there. Easy pass

That eyeshadow quad is way too similar to the Kaja trio in the October box for my taste. I guess if you wear peach shades exclusively you’ll be happy. I wish that was a mini and the eye cream was full size. I also wish the loyal subscribers were getting the Shani Darden and not just the newbies. I wouldn’t pay $88 for it but after getting slammed with YouTube ads for the product, I am curious.
